7’0 Light and 7’0 MediumAs the title suggests; these rods are great! Their sensitivity is so far amazing for the price I paid for them but I believe the P5 Destroyers is more sensitive than these rods. I trade my Destroyers for Exprides and I can’t be happier. The 7’0 medium has a moderate bend to it which I love using Jerkbaits and cranks for it. Perfect medium to me. Now I have to say the 7’0 light isn’t a light even though I never use the previous version but I do have a few Adrenas and it feels like a medium-light for sure. Super sensitive! I felt every jolt this past weekend on 1/8oz jig catching whitebass and hybrids. I have it paired with a Twin Power FE 2500shg and this is the perfect combo. My 7’0 Medium is paired with a Stella Fk 2500 and it’s a beast. All I can say is that get it! For the price you can’t beat it. I’m planning on getting a MH baitcaster for my top water fishing. Good luck!

Excellent RodsI have two of the 7'2 ML rods. They are definitely on the stouter side for a ML, you can compare the power and taper to an NRX 852S. These rods have handled both large striper up to 15lbs and spotted bass over 5lbs. The quality of the rod is excellent, and my favorite park is the premium cork handle.

Best line of rodsOnly have the 7M in spinning but it’s my favorite I have owned. Very light in the hand but enough power when you need it. I have paired with 2500 Vanford, you can bomb cast!

Comments: I have the 7'2 ml and it's an amazing rod. The cork placement is perfect. Definitely a bit stiff for a ml but it's exactly what I was looking for. The only downside is the location of the hook keeper. It's almost like they designed it so we would hook ourselves every time we pick up the rod. I own over 25 rods and the expride is the only one with the hook keeper behind the reel seat. It's still my favorite rod.

Comments: Another 6' 10" owner here. I absolutely love the rod for 1/8oz dropshotting and 1/8oz nedheads with whatever ned plastic. I have mine paired up with the current gen Excense 3000, 12lb Sunline siglon braid to a 8lb tatsu flouro leader. The entire combo is stupid light and balanced, but as others have mentioned, this is definitely a lighter leaning powered medium-light rod. Rod loads pretty deep into the blank, if you're dropshotting around sparse grass, it does NOT have the power to pull a bass out of the weeds if they dive in, just FYI. Used a 1/8oz Okashira head with a 3" sparkshad and since the rod loads pretty deep on the cast, it launches these smaller baits with no issue even though its only a 6' 10".This rod does throw Vision 110 Jr's and Rapala countdown elites extremely well also because it loads deep and keeps trebles pinned. I even tied up a 8lb mono leader and caught some fish on a 1/4oz MB pop-X, never lost a fish. I currently have this 6' 10 " ML Expride and an older Megabass Destroyer USA Addermine and the Expride is just as sensitive, lighter and balances better with a 3000 Excense. The Destroyer is my all time favorite neko and wacky rig rod, because the balance of light tip and beefy mid-section, but the Expride is my new dedicated dropshot rod. Just beware of the lack of power around grass and wood. Open water / rock and gravel fisheries? No problemo. For $300 after tax, the Exprides are without a doubt the best value as far as higher-end rods on the market go. This is my first Expride in a spinning model, and will definitely not be my last.

Comments: This is in regards to the 7' light. Beautifully made, super sensitive, great reel seat/grip, light and balanced. I also have a 6'9" Zodias ML, and the light has the same power as the ML rod. The B is a fantastic rod. I also have the older version of the Expride 7' light, which seems like a true light power rod. This newer version of the 7' light is great, just be aware it is a power up from the last Expride A 7' light.

From: Sir Finesse: 3/11/23

Comments: Recently just got the 7'2 ML and it's definitely one of the stiffest ML rods I've ever had. It's interesting because I had the chance to play around with the 6'10 ML at my local Scheels and it seemed to be much softer than my 7'2 ML.

From: Samuel: Minneapolis, MN 2/9/23

Comments: I bought the 6'10" ML. Still iced up here, but initial impressions are positive. The rod is accurately sized in terms of line / lure weight ratings. Overall power seems to be slightly closer to the "L" end of the "ML" range. With very light pressure and a 4 inch bend at the tip, the rod has a progressive flex down to about the 60% point of the blank. You're in the backbone below that. Action is more moderate, but you still have the very fast recovery at the tip. It will load very well when casting light baits. I plan to use it for neds, drop shot, and small paddletails in it's size range. Side by side, it has considerably more flex and less backbone than my Expride A 7' M Spinning.

From: JHC: CO 2/1/23

Comments: As earlier reviewers have observed, the 7' Light and 7'2" ML are heavier power than indicated. The former is definitely more of a ML, and the latter is a M. I compared the 7' Light Expride B and A side-by-side, and the B is significantly more powerful than the A. It's a shame because the 7' Light Expride A was a lot of fun and there is not an equivalent rod in the new B series. Nevertheless, the B series is phenomenal once you get the right rod (for example, I simply use the 7'2" ML as a M rod).

From: Tony: Brooklyn 11/3/22

Comments: The 7'2 ML is an amazing rod. Love the new handle and matte finish. Very impressed.

From: Dusty: 10/8/22

Comments: I pre-ordered a 7'0'' Light Expride B spinning rod in Jan. Received the rod today from Tackle Warehouse. I am so glad I waited for this rod. It is amazing!! I already own 2 Expride A models and the new B model feels much better in the hand. Rod is feather light, and so well balanced. Fit and finish are superb. The cork is flawless. Thread windings are flawless also.

From: Bradley: Illinois 7/28/22

Comments: As Tony from KC said, The Expride B indeed seems to fish "heavier" than the Expride A units. I have both in 7' medium. The new handle is longer towards the tip by about 1", thus leaving essentially a shorter blank and guide spacing remained the same. One thing that I see no mention of in reviews is the butt of the new handle is coated with the same "soft touch" coating as on the CI4+ handle. I have no fears concerning durability, as my "A" units have held up well. Agreed the "B" ML would feel more like the "A" medium...

From: SW: Virginia 7/27/22

Comments: I purchased the 7'2" Medium Light Expride B. It is a Medium power rod, but the best Medium power rod I have ever held. Buyer should know this when they purchase. Love it so much I purchased a second and use them both for medium power applications like Nekos, tubes, and jigworms.

From: Unknown: 7/20/22

Comments: Be warned, these rods are overpowered compared to the previous generation Expride A. The 7'2 ML feels more like a medium, and the 7' Light feels like a medium light.

From: Tony: Kansas City 7/8/22

Comments: The 6'10 medium light is an absolutely killer dropshot rod. Paired with a 2500 Vanford it's honestly weightless in your hand and balances perfectly. I won't be buying another spinning rod until I'm ready to get a NRX+ because there is no point in the stuff in between. I would choose Expride spinning rods over mostly all the others. This new generation is going to be no exception so get them while they are in stock.
