Comments: Bought one 7'3'' mh, caught 30 nice fish...it snapped fighting a 1lb bass. Shimano replaced it lightning fast under warranty. Bought a second and it snapped on a cast. I take extremely good care of my rods and reels, have them in holders, only transport them on the deck of my boat with padded carpet. As a matter of fact I've never snapped a rod before EXCEPT the poison adrena! the rod is beautiful, light weight, sensitive, and I'll never buy one again. Bought 4 Destroyer p5s in the meantime and they are great.

From: Michael: WPB FL 9/12/23

Comments: 6'11M+, great fit and finish, lightweight and sensitive like my NRX. I can throw 1/8 Oz lures good distances. Really like the rod, definite top notch rod. Would buy more but 1 year warranty for $400 rod ain't cool. I'll spend the money on G Loomis, Dobyns, Phenix, etc with lifetime warranty.

From: Tony: Southern California 6/28/23

Comments: I have 3 Shimano poison Andrea m/h 7'3 I love them been fishing with them for over a year now have no problems with mine very light and sensitive and I own edge, trika, lews, AuGarcia Black Max rod none of them can touch the Shimano poison Andrea rod theses rod r my go to rod when I go to buy another I ask is your rod as good as the Shimano poison Andrea they say yes but there not trika will tell you there rods are better and they line there rod up against Shimano poison Andrea rod and it beat it well I know different because I have there 350 dollar rod it doesn't come close to a Shimano poison Andrea rod and edge Rods there more like a 50 dollar rod not having with them at all and I run lews reels from 150.00 to 400.00 and I run the same reel on Shimano, trika, edge rod so it would be far and so no one could say well that rod has a better reel on it I just ordered 2 more Shimano poison Andrea rod 7'3 m/h rods I am saying this someone is going to have t o build a very nice rod to win me over to there rods and to get me this is the best rod I have ever used the lightest and most sensitive Rod I have ever used

From: John: Murfreesboro Arkansas United States 5/23/23

Comments: 7'6" XH. I got this rod last year after completing enjoying my 7'3" MH for bottom contact. I like this rod even more, have used it for Arig and Magdraft and Rising Son type swimbaits, but it has become my full time and only rod for the Carolina rig jobs for now on. If you like to drag the ball n chain around I swear this is the rod for the job. It is crazy sensitive, I can actually tell when a smallie vs largie are biting and it handles 20# floro extremely well, so I just bully my fish right to the kayak. A great length for a kayak guy like me, plus it will also fish funky baits like a tinyKlash or big top water with ease. But for me it's the C rig all the way here. Completely changed how I catch bass. And I'm glad and better off for it

From: Timothy: ME 5/16/23

Comments: When i first opened my 7'3 mh my first impression was slightly heavier then i was expecting. Not necessarily a bad thing hopefully this rod would last me a decade, maybe longer for the money. Shimano only offers a 1 year warranty and i understand why, the rod snapped on a 2 lb largemouth 15 months after I bought it. I'll will definitely be looking into Loomis and st croix when looking for a replacement for it

From: Zach: OH 5/9/23

Comments: I've had the 7'2" H for a couple of years now and I can say I've been impressed with it. It's more moderate in action than my NRX's, which was to be expected, but it has been a great all around rod. It's been my go to rod for 1/2 jigs - incredibly sensitive and the fact that it is more parabolic it keeps them pinned unlike any other jig rod I own. In comparison to my NRX's, Conquests, and my P5 XBites - I'd day it is on par with them from a sensitivity standpoint. Aesthetically it is up there with Megabass, it's a beautiful rod that is comfortable in the hand that is extremely lightweight with the fit and finish 2nd to none. I've liked the feel and looks of it so much I've bought 2 of the Adrena spinning rods that are now staples in my finesse fishing game. I highly recommend them!

From: Jacob: 11/10/22

Comments: Rod is decent in sensitivity, I had more expectations for a $300+ rod. First issue started with the reel seat shifting occasionally. Noticed this when my reel was not lined up with my rod guides. I would occasionally have to twist the reel back into position. And then like others, the rod tip snapped off during a cast (1/4oz T-rig). Sent the rod in with proof of purchase and luckily got a replacement. I'm going to be putting new rod up for sale. $300 is too much for this low quality rod. I've had the Walmart rods that stood up to more abuse.

From: Unknown: 10/20/22

Comments: Was excited to grab 1, pretty sensitive but these adrenas appear to have alot of similar issues, snapping at the tip, 7'2" H model was using a finesse jig, mine snapped about 6-8 inches from tip on hookset, I am not 1 of those slam it home hook set guys, worst part is paid over $350 and with no receipt shimano warranty is absolute garbage. Back to St Croix, best warranty if even needed.

From: Eric: Ballwin, MO 5/16/22

Comments: Pretty disappointed, and I started off so excited about these Adrenas after selling my NRX rods to replace with a few. Well, snapped mine about 8 inches from the tip yesterday setting the hook on a light texas rigged Sweet Beaver. This is only the second time using it, and it has not been abused at all. I take excellent care of all my gear. Also, in my 25 years of fishing and swinging hard on jig and texas rigged hooksets I've never broke a rod. Guess I'm going back to NRX's.

From: Caleb: Lexington, KY 5/11/22

Comments: I've owned several gen 1 Adrenas and several gen 2's. Gen 1's still going strong. All my Gen 2's are in pieces. Pure junk. Can't believe they cheapened these so much and still charged the same. Wish they'd bring back old design.

From: Bobby: VA 4/2/22

Comments: Love the Adrenas, look really nice. I have the medium plus and the 7'2 heavy. The medium plus snapped on me mid cast throwing a 1/2 chatterbait. I sent it in and had a new one within a month of snapping , didnt have to pay for anything other than shipping. I hope it was a fluke because i really love both rods.

From: Unknown: 11/27/21

Comments: I love shimano reels but this rod is a no. It is light and people say it's super sensitive but tbh it really isn't in my opinion but it does look nice but went to go set the hook in a fish and the rod just snapped in half around 4 inches about the second eye from the reel seat. No, the rod was not damaged at all no nicks or anything the rod was kept in my room with a rod sock and you think a $350 dollar rod would be made in Japan but it's made in China so my opinion is it's over rated and not worth the money and pretty weak rod in my opinion

From: Noah: Oklahoma 10/18/21

Comments: 7'3" MH was my first step up to a higher price point for casting jigs and dragging other bottom contact baits. I have felt, set up on, and landed more 4 pound and up class fish with this rod than any other setup combined. Basically taught me how to fish a jig the right way because I feel everything going on down there now. I couldn't imagine a rod being more sensitive but have been told they are out there at a higher price point. For me, this rod paired with a Metanium is extremely light, very powerful, and has given me the advantage in open water and close quarters set ups. It is slightly more parabolic so I try to keep some tension when the jig is falling by lightly thumbing the spool, and have smacked so many while my jig is falling to 25 or 30 feet that its revolutionized my want to jig fish. Bigs bite jigs! And this rod handles them all with class. Very very satisfied. Will be buying more!

From: Tim: Hollis, ME 10/10/21

Comments: I have 7,4 H, use for medium jigs and heavy jigs this rod is so damn sensitive for jigging. I go fishing with guide up in Clear Lake, Ca every bite I felt I could almost feel the bass sucking in the jig while creeping over huge boulders.

From: Unknown: 10/5/21

Comments: I bought the 7'4 heavy in July and I use it with my Shimano Antares DC MD for heavy bass lure and some inshore fishing. I stand by the quality of this rod. In August I caught a 6.5 pound Largemouth and flipped it on to the bank. I've also caught countless fluke and some schoolies back bay. The carbon monocoque handles are great because they are ridiculously sensitive. On the 7'4 heavy I feel every tap with this rod despite the heavy action. I definitely recommend this rod to anyone who is in the market for a higher end rod.

From: Simon: Hackettestown, NJ 10/1/21

Comments: Purchased in June 2019. Will not purchase another. The rod had the coating peeling off. The rod broke on a hook set. The customer service wait when calling is north of a hour wait. The review of the returned rod, stated I damaged the rod, nicks. I guaranty I have in no way damaged this rod. Never again.

From: Harry: North Carolina 6/14/21

Comments: I have the 7ft3 MH. Its a beautiful looking rod. Super light and super sensative. I also have NRX Plus and have owned Exprides and an xstacy. The NRX plus is a little more sensative and it a step up but also is 200 dollars more. Best rod under 400 IMO. The thing is after tax its almost 400 dollars at that price I would go buy and NRX Plus. However if 400 is your budget this is the rod. My only complaint is I dont know how much better it is than the Expride and is almost 100 dollars more. Expride IMO is the best for the price and the NRX Plus is the best if price doesnt really matter.

From: Isaiah: 6/5/21

Comments: I have 2- 7'3" MH's and they are by far the lightest, most powerful rods i've held.  On a sad note, one of them snapped after catching many 4-5 lbers with heavy hooksets....on a 1 lb bass with a little tiny hookset.

From: Michael: Florida 4/29/21

Comments: The Poison Adrena series is a unique a super practical rod series that I absolutely love! starting with the 7'2' Medium, I like this rod for throwing finesse swimbaits on up to 3/8 oz jigs for Smb, Good flukes rod too. 7'2' heavy i like to throw t rigs, casting jigs, skipping docks, heavier structure jigging. 7'3'' medium heavy is one of my favorite models and is super versitile from bottom contact to certain moving baits like swimjigs, underspins, spinnerbaits but also is fantastic for finesse jigs, swimbaits, light carolina rigs, t rig. the 7'4 heavy is a fantastic swimbait rod with plenty of back bone and resonsive tip for keitechs ranging from 3.8- 5 inches and excels on jig heads at 3/4. Great for dark sleepers, carolina rigs, deep jigging. The 6'10 plus is great for accurate casting with jigs, spinnerbaits, and is best suited for larger jerkbaits. Accuracy! I have to say these are fantastic rods, great sensitvity, actions unlike anyother bass rod, most accurate casting rods made! The cons of it are the handle, the handle layer wears off and can be tough on hands during the winter seasons but that is minor and can be fixed with rod grips if needed. Use them primarily for great lakes smallmouth bass fishing but still great largemouth rod. I dont reccomend using the heavy models for frogging, just isnt the right rod. 6'10, 7'3'', and 7'4'' are my favorites, cant go wrong with either of those models.

From: Bobby: Hammond 4/16/21

Comments: I started with one MH fast action rod and ended up with 6. Another is being purchased today.  2 MH spinning, 3 MH casting, 1 Heavy casting and today's will also be a Heavy casting.  I like these rods because they are very light and when you cast up to 800 plus casts in a day, light matters.  Strength also matters as well as how the rod maintains the correct tension with a fish on.  I have found the Poison has solid hook setting capability.  I use only these rods when fishing for a simple reason: I know the feel for the bite immediately as the rods all have the same feel.  The exception to this is when you fish a slack line with certain rigs. The rods all cast alike and are very accurate with the ability to cast a long distance if desired. Hope this helps!

From: Keith: The Villages, FL 4/15/21

Comments: Have had the poison adrena for a month and finally put it to work today.  Beautiful rod, very light and very strong.  I needed a rod to flip bass up off the bank due to my health, this is it.  My NRX is more sensitive and my GLX is also more sensitive and stronger but it should be as it's a 4 power.  The Adrena is heads and shoulders above the Expride.  Casts are long and effortless and the handle is wonderful. I needed another rod and wanted one that was light but strong and it was a good choice for less money than another GLX or NRX. I had a chat with tacklewarehouse and they guided me correctly.

Updated: My second review after several times fishing with my 6-11plus.  My favorite rod!  I have an NRX and 2 G Loomis GLX models.  The Adrena is insane light yet great handling bass with mainly senkos. Very versatile as I used for light top water and jack hammers.  I like my Loomis rods but this rod is for reel. Have it paired with a metanium and can fish 8 hours with it.    A friend took me out today and used it and promptly wanted this setup for himself!

From: Paul: Lenexa, Kansas 3/28/21 Updated: 6/5/21

Comments: I have been using the 611 m+ for a few months now and I love it. Super light and sensitive. Still has enough backbone to reel in 3-4 pounders all day in open water. I would probably not use this in heavy cover though. This is most likely going to be my favorite rod and probably going to be my all around rod in open water for medium swimbaits, underspins, jigs 1/2 or less, even 1/4 to 1/2 ounce drop shot when I don't want to use my spinning setup for that. I also have the 67 ML spinning rod and I can say I don't like it as much as the 611 m+ casting. The 67 ML is a tad too soft and parabolic for my liking. I have old school Fenwick Techna AVs that are MF and LF and those two are more stiff at the tip and more sensitive than the poison adrena at half the price (too bad Fenwick discontinued those models). Anyways, long story short I probably would not have bought the 67 ML if I knew the tip was that soft. For the price it is not worth it, however, since I already bought it I will most likely use it for very light hair jigs, 1/8 to 1/4 ounce swimbaits, and small drop shots. Both rods are very light and the fit and finish are superb.

From: Senyi: Minnesota 2/20/21

Comments: I have 3 Adrena's and I really like them. They are light and very crisp with some backbone. They are well made and look good also. I have some JDM ultralights and they are close in build quality. These rods are very comfortable in my hand.  I've fished them almost a year and caught anywhere form 5 oz to 5 lb fish and it's been a pleasure. IMO sensitivity is very subjective so I won't go there. I recommend them.

From: Jim: Louisiana 12/28/50

Comments: I see all the stellar perfect reviews, and I would be one of them too except I had one eyelet bent from stowing it under deck. When I bent it back it broke off, then within a week the next two that weren't ever bent snapped off during a backlash cast with a pretty heavy lure. I paid a lot more than 400 for mine when they came only from Japan. I love the rod so much I'm looking to have it repaired. Also right when I got it the glue came loose from the cover on the threaded reel seat tightening ring. Was not that big of a deal I glued it back. Still it is as awesome as everyone is saying. I'm buying another now, is what brought me here to see these reviews, thought I just say what happened to mine. I nearly always kept it in a rod sock too.

From: Scott: Fort Worth, TX 11/14/20

Comments: I have had this rod, 611m+, for over a year now and is such a amazing rod. Weird rating I do have to say. It is incredibly versatile rod for me. I do however mostly use jerkbaits on this rod because 2-3 months of the year, that being late fall and early spring (whatever time there is no ice and it is very cold), that is basically the only thing the fish will bite consistently. I can say the rod does work well form lipless crankbaits and smaller spinner baits. It also should be good for topwater because of the crisp the tip is and the beautiful parabolic bend. It can work as a jig rod in a pinch, but I would only recommend jigs fishing in tight fishing situations. Like people said it is very sensitive and I wish I could pick up more to be honest. My biggest complaint however is how bad the shimano Ci4+ reel seat is with shimanos own magnesium framed reels. You have to the reel seat tight constantly or it will chip the paint off. So I now just put tape around the reel foot.

From: Connor: Michigan 9/19/20

Comments: Recently purchased the Adrena after hearing so many positive things about it. Been using it as a jig/worm setup. It's a very good looking rod and overall I'm happy with it. However, anyone expecting to get NRX level bottom contact sensitivity out of this rod will be disappointed. The NRX blows the Adrena away in terms of sensitivity and it's not even close. Not trying to be negative, the Adrena is a great rod and I'm happy to have it in my arsenal. But I was expecting elite sensitivity and it's just not there.

From: Brian: Iowa 9/7/20

Comments: Normally don't write reviews but I bought 3 of them the other day cause of such good reviews and I can say it's reallly nice. I have a few nrx. This rod is just as sensitive, light and crisp. It's a really solid rod. I'd recommend this. I'm going to buy a few more.

From: Bruce: Sacramento, CA 8/3/20

Comments: I have NRX, Phenix K2, Dobbyns Xtasy, and legend extreme. I purchased an Adrena 7'3" mh recently and am very happy with it. It is as light and as sensitive as any rod I own. It is extremely well designed and made. It is stiff for a MH rod compared to others above. This is not a problem, I like it that way. Very positive hook sets with this rod. One complaint is that I would like a model 2 or 3 inches longer.

From: Rod: Clovis 7/30/20

Comments: I own the 6'11 medium + and the 7'3 MH. As far as I'm concerned the medium + is the best chatterbait rod money can buy. It's extremely comfortable lite weight and extremely sensitive. I love love love the handle on these rods. Shimano out done their selves.

From: Shawn: Hilsboro, IL 7/28/20

Comments: After my Lews magnum hammer broke on me, I decided to get the Shimano Poison Adrena 7'3" MH. It was bought with the intentions of being my all-round rod (except froggin and huge swimbaits) and it has live up to that. This rod is so light you forget that you're using it and you're just focused on fishing. The rod is extremely sensitive, light weight, powerful, and did I mention BEAUTIFUL! The only thing I could find that was a little nit-picky was that there isn't a hook keeper, no big deal, I just put one on.

From: Chenchar: Colorado 7/24/20

Comments: Update : I'm a rod snob .. I've so many it's just silly .. but after fishing this rod now for a good 7 months , I can honestly say it's my favorite rod of the 30 I own .. I prefer my poisons over Dobyns Xtasy - Gloomis NRX - megabass destroyers & exprides .. all great rods and I highly recommend them all .. but the poison adrena is just on another level .. you will feel the slightest of bites in that monocot handle - it's extremely light . ( lighter then my NRX ) when you slam that worm hook home I can't help but fear I'll break the rod in half it's so light .. but never happens . It balances just as well as Dobyns rods ( their famous for balance) .. and what makes it all so unbelievabl is the $350 price tag .. like the expride the poison adrena is undersold .. but shhhhh .. let shimano think it's spot on .. it's a good thing I Like diversity, otherwise I'd have an Arsenal of nothing but .. very modern rod with high end tech - the only thing it lacks is Torzite guides .

From: Dean: Las Vegas, NV 7/5/20

Comments: Alright guys, so I bought the 6'11 poison mainly for jerk baits in the winter. I didint use it at all after this past winter until today. I had a feeling this rod would be good for smaller crankbaits such as square bills. And I was right. Even tho it's not a crankbait rod, it handles fish beautifully. I lost a total of 0 fish once I had them hooked. The rod has enough give to it when the fish are pulling and it also has a amazing back bone. All n all I love this rod, it's not my most expensive rod but it will have a place in my arsenal year round from now on!!!

From: Rafa: Santa Maria, CA 6/27/20

Comments: My second poison adrena picked up the 6'10 M glass for top water / jerk baits .. not exactly meant for top water I know but for what I like to throw and what I enjoy feeling .. these adrenas in my book are just worlds best rods .. trust me you fish one - you˙ll want your own or you'll want multiple .. shimano hit a grand slam in design .. just an unbelievable rod is so many ways .. I can't imagine how one can improve other then adding Torzite guides .

From: Dean: Las Vegas, NV 5/15/20

Comments: These are great rods.Sensitive, light, super clean build and beautifully crafted. Moreover, they are very comfortable in the hand. I have two models 7'2" heavy and 7'3" med- heavy and I like them a lot. They are covering different applications like, jigs, Texas rig, small to medium swimsuits, chatter baits & spinner baits. Highly recommend.

From: Abduljabbar: Woodbridge, VA 5/8/20

Comments: before I start, I'm a Canadian fisher and purchased these mainly for my walleye and pike techniques so I was in need of a very sensitive rod. I purchase the 6'11 medium+ and the 7'3 MH as well as a spinning rod, and these rods are just something else. the weight and sensitivity of these new poisons are just incredible. quality and design are just top notch. I've fished exprides, GLX, and NRX rods for years now, and the 19 poisons are definitely a step up from the GLX and exprides in all aspects. the NRX fishes a lot differently, but for how sensitive these arenas are, I honestly can't feel a difference between these and the NRX. the balance is also top tier. I could ramble on about these rods all day, but let me just say you need to have these In your arsenal if you fish high end gear. truly the best value for a rod, I say it beats the expride value by far. feels like I'm fishing a $500 rod. paired both up with a metanium DC. get these while you can because they will be sold out soon. only issue is they don't have more different rods lol! 10/10

From: Nic: Guelph, Ontario, CA 5/7/20

Comments: I own several rods in my arsenal g loomis glx & nrx, kistler zbone, megabass destroyers, dybons xtasy, daiwa steez but the MH 73 poisn adrena blows them away IMO its crazy light weight and unbelievable sensitivity and very well balanced. Beauty of it 10/10 Long story short get one you'll be happy you did nd some how you'll find a reason to not put it down like me.

From: John: Texas 5/5/20

Comments: This is NRX Light. Its unbelievable. Transfer of sensitivity with the monocoque handle is unreal. This blows every rod at its price point out of the water and even some higher price point rods IMO.

From: B: Minnesota 4/21/20

Comments: Absolutely unbelievable stick. I bought one really just to try one out being mostly a Daiwa/Megabass rod guy and I am contemplating selling a bunch of my other rods for more of these. I have a $600 Daiwa Steez AGS rod and my 7'2" Heavy Adrena is favored against it. The Steez is still more sensitive, but there is something about how these rods handle and fish that is unexplainable until you just fish one. I have mine paired with a 16 Metanium MGL and it slings jigs so far and accurately. The main selling point of this rod for me is just how light and balanced it is. The monocoque butt section is for sure something special. I'm planning on selling some high end Steez sticks for 2 or 3 more of these Adrenas. I can see why there is a cult following of the Poison series. Can't imagine what the Poison Glorious and Ultimas are like, JDM only though. Buy one if you can ASAP, cause once the wave catches up to these rods, they are gonna be back-ordered.

Comments: WOW! For now I'll use one word, phenomenal! This rod is flat out sick, phenomenal. Move over Gloomis I've a new favorite. You had me for 25 years but this rod is just way to modern freakishly perfect. I bought the 7'3 MH, weighs only 3.8 ounces. Anything that light for size ratio is going to be incredibly sensitive. The mono kote handle is extremely sensitive. No way do you miss any strikes or inhales with these rods. I believe shimano undersells some of their high end rods. like the expride the poison edrena with any other name on it would be $100 more. Ive mine paired up with my all time favorite reel the shimano chronarch MGL. Perfect marriage, visual eye candy! Put their new mentanium on this rod you'll be the envy of your lake. Rod is outstanding, my very first thought was how new school modern it is. Go Ahead and put your dollars together and buy yours. Guarantee it will be arsenals crown jewel.

Comments: I picked up a 7'3" MH rod. All I can say is buy one. These rods are very light and very sensitive. I was worried I wouldn't like the reel seat and that it wouldn't feel good in my hand, boy was i wrong. This rod fits like a glove in my hand. The construction is top notch. The only thing I wish it had was a hook keeper. I just bought a fuji hook keeper from TW and that solved my problem. I plan on picking up a 7'2" heavy when they get them in stock. Great rod for the money

Comments: I picked up the 6'11 medium + for jerkbaits and finesse applications. The rod is cosmetically pleasing, but not as impressive as a Megabass rod. Besides the cosmetics, it performs flawlessly with jerkbaits, but it also shines with other applications within it's weight specifications. It is truly a versatile rod where you can feel confident in finesse and moving baits/reactions (treble or single hook applications) It is very similar to an Expride, but feels more balance, and CRISP! It is also lighter, and has a faster tip than an Expride. No complaints in the sensitivity category at all. It is hard to say anything negative about this rod. It does everything it's suppose to do exceptionally well, BUT considering it's price point, and being a JDM rod, it should have at least come with a nice rod sleeve. C'mon Shimano/Jackall, put the icing on the cake!

Comments: Just got my 6'11 in today! Got out for an hour on my local ponds and caught 9 LMB. First impression, it's absolutely gorgeous and light as a feather! I paired it up with my Curado DC and the feel is incredible. The best way I can describe it is it's like you have the reel in your palm but just the line no rod like the braid went stiff through the guides as they float in the air. It felt so right. The handle and reel seat are satin smooth and fit my hand naturally and look amazing. You feel everything through the handle. The guides are nice and quiet on the power pro 30 lb braid. A lot of my other rods have noisy guides with the braid and it annoys me. Tossed a Keitech 3.8 with an 1/8 oz weight, 3/8 oz jig and craw and a 6in zoom trick worm with a 1/16 oz Neko weight. Caught fish with all of them and even got a few top water bites landed with the Keitech dragging over some algae! The rod performed great with all of them. Pulled a few out of the grass with ease and plenty of backbone for home run hooksets. Casting was easy with all the baits. The trick worm loaded the tip great so even without the DC most finesse baits should be no problem. I do have a couple complaints though. No hook keeper makes no sense to me but I still bought it so whatever I'll put one on. No rod sock...Megabass Leviathan rods come with them and cost about $150 less. Step your swag game up Shimano I didn't even get a sticker! But thanks for the free T-shirt Tackle Warehouse! At least I know y'all appreciate the business. Tight Lines!
