Comments: Great Baits, especially in cold water. They seem to catch fish better than about anything we have in the boat when that temp dips into the mid to low 40's on the river by us.  Not uncommon to catch 100 bass when you find them grouped/schooled up in small areas.  The bonus is you also get a lot of extra fish like walleye, sauger, crappie, and white bass that you most likely wouldn't with maybe some more traditional bass baits like skirted jigs with a chunk trailer or slow rolling a spinnerbait.  Seem a little pricey for a thin piece of steel and some lead, but as long as they catch fish like they do...  Price is not really a concern.  We happily pay $25 for a megabass jerkbait so what's $6 for a silver buddy.  In the end if tackle catches fish consistently they are worth whatever price you have to pay!  My only complaint is that recently they have come without the snap.  I am quite sure this is not a TacklewWarehouse issue, I'm sure it is most likely a Silver Buddy Issue.  Adding your own snap is not a big deal, but they should come with the snap like intended. They do come with some nice sticky hooks!

Comments:  The weights on these are all over the place. The 3/4 oz varies from 15.0 grams to 16.5 grams, which is just over a 1/2 oz. The 1oz varies from 23 grams to 25.5 grams. It's okay that they weigh less than advertised, but it's unacceptable that the weights are so inconsistent.

Comments: These things work in the river I fish. One time, I actually caught 2 bass on the same cast. I had a smallmouth on one hook and a rock bass on the other. Only time in my life I ever had that happen. The same day... the other 2 guys fishing with me didn't even get a bite but  I caught 5 bass on the ole silver buddy. These things can cast these things a long ways too. They're awesome baits!

Comments: I was told about this bait two years ago when fishing a lake in the early spring.  I was surprised but it caught fish.  Iâ•ÂË™ve seen it catch fish when nothing else was working.

Comments: This lure catches fish! I use it in a lake with sand and weeds throughout and I catch everything on it. I've caught big bluegill, bass, walleye, and pike. Get the right weight for the lake you are fishing at otherwise you will just get snags and weeds. Gold works the best for me! Give it a try.

Comments: If you ever fish Dale Hollow Lake or Lake Cumberland when the water gets below 50 degrees & you don't have one of these tied on; you are missing out on a chance to catch the fish of a lifetime. I've caught over 20 Smallmouth that exceed 5lbs with several in the 6lb range & my biggest smallmouth a 7lber coming on a silver buddy. Fish this thing on a medium action rod when the smallmouth are out on the 20 - 35 ft contours & you will be amazed at the huge fish that will hit this lil' bait. Long time Dale Hollow Guide Fred McKlintock introduced me to this amazing lil' bait back in the 80's & I haven't looked back. I've caught hundreds & hundreds of smallmouth on this bait & it truly is amazing.
