Disappointment in a caseLooks awesome but it sinks immediately after 2-3 pops, also hookups suck. Stick with a regular popping frog this is a major disappointment.
Hookups SUCK!I lost my pb today on this popper because the narrow hooks burry up into the back of the lure when you set the hook. This bass was no doubt a double digit and it came off at the boat because only one hook got it and the other one was buried up in the lure. I guess I could try to bend them out but don’t even want to look at it again honestly. Only good thing to say is it does get BIT but you ain’t gonna catch them sadly.
Durability3 fish and it ripped now it just sinks
Just ooookThey sometimes sink and stay under the surface a little bit. I have caught some fish on them , but have also lost a lot of fish as well and I believe that is because of the hooks. the worst thing about this and the walking one is the hooks on them. The gap on the hooks are incredibly small and tight. Super narrow.
Don't listen to the haters! Not sure why the bad reviews on this? The action is on point and it doesn't take on water easily. The hookup ratio is as good as any hollow body frog. It casts a mile with ease too. My first trip out with one of these I caught a 10.5lb largemouth on it! Can't argue with results.
Good in cover But..Goes through the bushes great.. but 2 things.. 1. The hooks need to be separated more so bend them out. 2. They crappie pulled the tail out! Bought the spook one too.
Good frogHave caught some good fish this spring .up to 5# super soft. Toothy critters will tear up so invest in mend it. It will dive some but be patient and not work super fast
Great submarineUnless you’re in the market for a submarine I would avoid this popper. You can’t pop it when it’s underwater and underwater is where it goes quickly. It’s a total waste of money.
