Overview

The smaller, huskier brother of the original Strike King Coffee Tube, the Strike King Fat Coffee Tube maintains the same width of the 3.5” version, but in a more rotund package. Infused with actual coffee bean granules and coffee bean oil, the Strike King Fat Coffee Tube tastes just as good as it looks. The specialized scenting also works to mask human scent while fishing, providing increased effectiveness around discerning predators.  Offered in a range of carefully selected colors, the Strike King Fat Coffee Tube offers a chunky profile that caters to overly indulgent predators.

Updated Review on a fantastic baitI reviewed these a few years ago and wanted to update based on the state of fishing and the emergence of more finesse applications. These still kill it. I no longer fish 3/8 or 1/4 oz. tubes. I fish a ned rig from 1/16 - 1/10 oz., and if I need to bump it up I throw a tube at 1/8 or 3/16 oz. The tubes are more erratic when falling than most ned rigs, and yet they're even more subtle when dragging them (they don't stand up like a Z-Man TRD Ned plastic). They're very versatile in this aspect – and going up to 1/8 or 3/16 oz. keeps them hugging the bottom when you really need something subtle. I'm still throwing them on a Northland Short Shank Tube 1/0 tube jig with an exposed hook for a good hookup ratio. I still like every Green Pumkin color, but I also appreciate the Watermelon option for the red flakes it has. Tubes are timeless and Strike King Fat Coffee Tubes are just a great option for the finesse fisherman. I'm going to pick up some Z-Man TRD 2.5" tubes and see how they go fare against these, but I know for sure that these catch bass in Minnesota or now in California.

Comments: Smallouth Killer!! Was out on Mille Lacs and lost one big one on a drop shot and that was it. Decided to switch to this tube and started catching them. The smallmouth were all over this thing. All of the smallmouth inhaled this bait. Now one of my go to's.

Comments: I use these with Northland short shank tube jigs in 3/8 oz. for finesse tubing. I pull the eye right through the tube & push it through the plastic before tying it on. It is the perfect finesse setup. They are small & not necessarily "fat" but they will draw bites from big fish, too.

Comments: Strike King Coffee Tubes have always been great for me. However, like the other reviewers, the "Fat" tube is very misleading. The use of "Fat" could even be justified of the tube had thicker walls, for a lack of a better expression. They tear up rather easy compared to their bigger brothers. If you're looking for a short tube check out ISG's.

Comments: not super impressed with this tube. Got it thinking it would be fat (hence the name) and it definitely isn't. It's more of just a finesse tube. I'm sure it works fine, but definitely not what the name of the bait would lead you to believe it is.

Comments: The description is way off.  These tubes are tiny!   I didnt take actual measurements, but they are probably closer to 2.5".  And they are not even close to the same diameter as the 3.5" model.  Relatively speaking, if you want to compare these to the 3.5" tube, they should call them "Mini" Coffee Tubes.   If you want to compare them to a 2.5" crappie or panfish tube, then I suppose they could be called "Fat" Coffee Tubes.   That said, I'm sure they'll have their time and place as great baits, like the larger size.
