Great budget friendly lineI've been using this Suffix line for 3-4 years now and couldn't be happier . 10-14 lb tests are on most of my set ups. From cranking to jigs this stuff works great.

Previous Feedback

Comments: I purchased a new spool of 8lb Sufix Advance mono. A complete mess trying to get the line off the spool. It seized up and broke several times from the spool. I could not salvage any of the line and had to trash it. Very unhappy since I was trying to put it on a brand new reel. A waste of money.

Comments: 10lb has been on a spinning reel for two months now, and it's still brand new feeling. Strong, sensitive, and does not coil up. I am careful how I spool my reels and use line conditioner. If you are still reading this, you are interested, and should just get some to try. You will dig it.

Comments: This is a great all around line for moving baits. I used it last year on my main casting rod and had VERY few breaks. The only breaks I had were because I didn't retie that often. I was using 14lb, which I thought was a little thick, but overall I could fit plenty of line on my reel. It's definitely stiffer than a standard mono, but it doesn't seem to stretch nearly as much, and it's tough as hell!

Comments: I experimented 6, 10 and 14 lbs test line.  I will be specific on each line for its purposes. 6 lbs test line for crappie and spotted bass fishing.  Jigging?  Please don't waste your time.  If casting, it does like long distance without struggle.  Keep in mind, the line's pretty stiff and acted like fluorocarbon.  Just don't overfill the line on your reels. 10 lbs test line for multi-purposes.  Top water?  Done!  Shallow crank?  Done!  Finesse spinnerbaiting?  Done!  Ripbait?  Done!  1/4 oz lipless cranks?  Done!  No problems handling those businesses.  I fish pretty hard.  I enjoy catching fish without having to struggle. 14 lbs test for football/structure jigs, Carolina-rig, Texas-rig, and 3/8 as well as 1/2 oz spinnerbaiting.  Durable, tough, great abrasion and strength totally off the charts!  I did not have any problem hauling fish out of structures or docks or laydown woods. Would I buy an extra for mono line?  For this one with the style of fishing I do, I would spend the extra money for 10 and 14 lbs test line.  For 6 lbs test line, no.  I would stick with Sufix Siege because it does the job just fine and lays down the spinning reels better.  Strong, very little or no memory, abrasion resistant, and strength.  Just know your line knots, change often if you fish often.  The nice thing with this option comes with 1200 yards spool which makes my job a bit easier.  Until then, tight lines and fish away, y'all!

Comments: So far so good.  Casts great and extremely strong.

From: Redgoby: Ohio 4/16/20

Comments: This is a very strong line! I would worry less about the pound test and look more at the line diameter to get a good workable line. It appears pretty rough after a few trips But it is cheaper than some, change it often

Comments: I got a spool of this line (10ib) for free at a fishing expo and I was excited to try this new monofilament sufix is putting out. Spooled it on my 7' M spinning rod and the line just shredded it went from 10ib to 4ib in about three casts. It casts nice, and doesn't stretch as much as regular mono, but the trade off is weak line that shreds. I tested my guides with a couple of different monofilaments (Berkley and seaguar) and had no line shred whatsoever. I don't recommend this, you would be better of getting Berkley big game.

From: Andrew: Foley 10/20/19

Comments: Really good line. This has almost completely replaced fluoro in my braid to leader setups. Decent abrasion resistance and is extremely manageable on a spool. I dig the 8,12 and 17 lb test varieties. 8 on my spinning reels, 17 on my worm and jig rod and 12 pound to fill the gaps.

From: Cole: Prattville, AL 7/20/19

Comments: So Far So Good. Purchased some 17lb Advance for pitching t-rigged soft plastics and like it so far. Really smooth coming off the reel.

From: Kirk: Illinois 6/27/19

Comments: I love this line.  The abrasion resistance is awesome.  I've not had one problem with this line and prefer it to any other mono or Fluro.

From: Unknown: West Monroe, LA 5/21/19

Comments: This line is as Limp as Sewing thread, but also as Weak! They won't post this, but Sufix should be ashamed to sell this Crap! I broke 2 times bareley pulling on a snag! Sufix Siege is better!

From: Michael: Green Valley 4/23/19

Comments: Finally a monofilament line that has the right combination of qualities to spool up the whole reel with. I used braided line with and without a leader for years. Loved the sensitivity of braid but always disliked the connection knot and wanted a little bit of stretch. Sufix got it right with this one, sensitive for a mono, lowish stretch, well behaved on a spinning reel (6lb) and tough. At worst my only complaint is the diameter is a bit large for the listed lb test. 6 and 8 lb are considerably stronger than the advertised rating so the ratings are a bit misleading. Basically just buy by the desired line diameter as opposed to the advertised breaking strength.

Comments: Got some of this line and have been using for about 6 months with no issues at all. I use it for cranking and moving baits with great success. Highly recommend !!

From: Trey - 12/18/18

Comments: Believe all the hype around Sufix Advance Monofilament. It has superior sensitivity, no memory and very low stretch like that of fluorocarbon. It's good enough that I have no problems using Sufix Advance Monofilament as my main line.

From: Adam - Eunice, Louisiana 10/24/18

Comments: So far this has been great line. I haven't used mono in several years but after seeing how hyped up this line was I just had to try it. It is relatively thick mono but that can be a good thing. It's pretty clear in the water. Has minimal stretch to it and tied connection knots so easy. Also there's hardly any memory from the line whatsoever. This mono is good enough I would consider using it as a main line. All in all great line for a pretty affordable price. 10/10 would recommend
