Overview
Built to grab the attention of baitfish-hungry bass, the True Bass Hollow Body Swimbaits deliver customized performance that stands head-and-shoulders above the competition. Designed with a rounded baitfish profile and a large boot tail, the True Bass Hollow Body Swimbaits rely on their hard thumping backside to produce action, rather than a traditional side-to-side roll.
The True Bass Hollow Body Swimbaits are incredibly lethal when fished by themselves, on a jighead, or a screw-lock EWG hook, but they are also extremely effective on an umbrella rig. Completes with large, bite-inducing eyes molded into the bait, the True Bass Hollow Body Swimbaits come in a number of jaw-dropping baitfish patterns that will keep your lines tight.

Comments: So I mostly fish Lake Oroville, lake almanor and shasta lake in Northern California, Small baitfish lakes. I use a lot of 2.8 and 3.3 keitechs on underspins or screwlock jigheads. I also use these Truebass, in 3.5" and 4.0" I have some 4.5"that kill it on shad lakes. I use the truebass head ls with 'em, because They just match up well, as they were designed for 'em.. 3/16 3.0 for the 3.5 and the 1/4 4.0 for the 4.0. The action is much tighter than the floppy-flop of the keitechs, but it's a really quick, tight flutter. They get bit pretty much as easily as a keitech, but the magic here: they last FOREVER! I have one on a 1/4 truebass underspin that I should frame. It's caught me (and my wife) like 40 fish between us. I finally retired it after it lost an eye. 10.99 for a slab of five (four of the 4 or 4.5) seems stupid expensive, but show me a keitech that catches 40 fish. In the end, they are actually a lot cheaper. Colors:Citron, winner minner, green bean, true blue, 99 problems, bass whacker all have done me we ll. I have a box of each, and and some of them I have combined over the last 2 years of using em, cuz they last so damned long. I finally bought a second Box of citron 3.5's a week ago. I am not saying these are replacing fat swing impacts, but I throw them pretty interchangeably. I mean, if I throw the keitech and they're hammering it, I'm not gonna whip out a truebass. But if I am using a truebass and they're hammerin' it, I'm sure not gonna try supm else, either. These things are definitely rad. But definitely get their heads for 'em. And they have some hook combinations at the truebass site that they don't have at TW, like 3/16 ounce 3/0 heads for the 3.5s and 1/4 ounce 4/0 underspins for the 4". Hear that TW, stock up so I don"t have to order in 2 places.

Comments: Calling your company "True South" doesn't hide the fact that they are made in China and utter crap compared to Basstrix. They have virtually no action unless you boil them first.

Comments: Have just started using these around topped out as well as submerged grass edges with good success. All have been caught on the ' True Blue' color so far, but cant wait to try some other colors. 3/8 swim jig head and moderate retrieve gets the job done for me.
