Comments: These rods are not bad, specially when you manage to snag a deal for them. I wouldn't use them for jigs or Texas rigs myself because they require sensitivity, but this rods for moving baits is great. If you use better rods 100-200$ this is a great rod to use for top-waters, jerkbaits, light frogging, and other stuff that doesn't necessarily need a good amount of sensitivity or super light weight applications. Personally I use it for swim jigs and jerkbaits. (This review mainly applies to the medium-heavy 7' fast)

Comments: Decent rods for the price! I use a medium (MedHvy) 7ft rod for throwing Flukes, and a (Med) 7ft for throwing Balsa crank baits. Love the grips and feel on these rods!

Comments: Like the guides, grips and reel seat. Finish seems to chip in places. For what you get for the money, they're decent rods. Got a couple 7' MH and a 7'8"

From: Ross: Rogersville 12/11/20

Comments: I never thought I'd buy an Ugly Stik but when I held it, I knew it was a good rod. The Winn Grips are awesome, even some high end rods don't offer that, The reel seat is a Fuji reel seat but its not a typical hard plastic like others I've seen. It has some tacky-ness to it like it has a rubber coating and I actually love that. The action is great for all-round techniques. Again, at its price point, it's very hard to find all these features. now a downside is weight. I did notice this rod is a little on the heavier side when i pick it up but so far I've had no issues with it and is a great rod at this price point. (I own the 7' MedHvy)

From: Chen: Lafayette, CO 6/15/20

Comments: Okay i know what you are thinking. Ugly Stik for bass? Heck no, good golly gee willakers I'm a professional. Well let me tell you these are light and actually sensitive. Feels like a normal graphite/carbon rod, surprise. Dragging a jig doesn't feel like mush with these guys anymore. I own a few (7' M, 6'10 ML) and don't think the med light is too flimsy either. It's the perfect jerk bait/squarebill/medium diving crankbait rod. I like a medium light/fast action rod (which are unicorns apparently in this broom stick day and age of the bass fishing world) for those techniques compared to a medium/moderate rod. I seem to cast better and more importantly accurately because it's not a limp noodle. Plus the backbone of a fast action tip does a lot of the work to bury the hooks because let's face it, we don't pay attention all the time on the water. The rundown: straightly placed braid ready guides, well designed reel seats, great rubberized grips. Seems to be a great quality rod for the price tag. Only time will tell of the durability of it's glue, guides, reel seat and paint finish, but all in all, I'm satisfied with my purchase and plan to snag a few more throughout this season.
