Comments: These are my never fail go-to hooks, I buy them 3 packs at a time They're super tough, and they're unholy levels of sharp. I keep a dedicated drop shot rod with 8lb fluoro, a pencil lead and one of these hooks rigged and ready on every single body of water for every tournament. Have pulled in multiple 5+lb Canadian small mouth out of the water with these and have never had a hook fail me.

Comments: I used these hooks all last season for my drop shot and was very impressed with the strength and sharpness! Great hook and great price.

From: Unknown - 1/7/18

Comments: i definitely dont agree with the first review. these are much thicker gauged wire than the gammys

From: Jay 6/30/17

Comments: These hooks work great. I have pulled lots of 5 to 6 pound largemouth out of heavy weeds and have never broke a hook. I always get a solid hookup and the hook always stays in. You can't beat these hooks for the price and quantity.

Comments: These hooks are super sharp.  They past the finger nail test every time.  For those that don't know what the finger nail test is, it's when you rub the point of the hook on your thumb nail and see if the hook will catch.  If the hook catches, or penetrates your nail then your good to go.  If the hook point does not catch then you might want to rethink tying that hook on.  Anyways you can't beat the price of $2.99 for 16 hooks.  The Gamakatsu dropshot/splitshot hooks are a little bit better because they have a finer, thinner, gauge.  So I'd give these hooks a 4.5/5 only because I'd like them to have a thinner gauge wire for even easier hook sets with light line.

Comments: I use these hooks to land salmon, koho, steelhead and browns. i have never broke one of these.

From: Tom: Pulaski, NY

Comments: i've never had any problems with these hooks breaking.  i've landed 3.5 lb largies with them, and even gotten then snagged on logs and thick wire cables under water.  my line snapped well before the hooks did.  i even used these hooks to wacky rig some finesse worms on 50 lb power pro and was able to pull them out of stumps.  don't be fooled by the first review.  these hooks are light weight and tough.  when you set the hook on a fish, they get lodged in and don't let go.  when it takes a little more effort than normal to remove the hook from a the mouth of a fish, you know it's hooked good.  plus at 16 a pack for 2.99, it's an unbeatable deal.  these are the only hooks i use for drop shotting now.  i actually switched to these from the red gamakatsu drop shot hooks.

From: Elijah: Seattle, WA

Comments: used these hooks this weekend at Clear lake and the hooks kept breaking under minimal strain and pressure.  had me very worried to be fishing them...thought i'd try them out but them breaking makes me go back to my Gama Dshot hooks.
