Great hook for weedless Ned rigNot much to add. When finesse calls it's a useful rig to help avoid snags as opposed to the usual exposed hook point.

Show me what Dat Mouth Do!!These jig heads are excellent bass candy paired with a hula stick or Fatty Z rigged Texas style (weedless). I prefer the 1/10 and 1/6 sizes depending on water depth. Great hooks ratio with the short heavy wired hook.

Great hooksThese are the best weedless hooks for elastec style baits.

The #1 Bait In My ArsenalI have loved fishing Ned Rigs over the years and the Nedlockz jig allows me to get into timbered and rock areas that is difficult to fish with an open hook. This jig allows a "Texas Rig" style of fishing with a enclosed hook. I can fish more where the fish are located without a worry of getting hung up.

Ned Rigs: Challenging River ConditionsI fish a very small river for Smallmouth. The bottom structure is mostly chunk rock, leading to frequent snags. Additionally, there is moderate to strong current in many sections. The NedlockZ EWG is as good as any jighead on the market for helping my baits remain near the bottom while reducing snags. When your plastics are locked securely on this jighead (specifically Elaztech products!!), you will be able to make many casts without losing any tackle and not have to worry about constantly readjusting your bait. Tight lines!

Tackle Tactics is #1When I got my hands on these EWG jigheads, I knew I was using the only jigheads I needed for my technique. First catch told me all I needed to know. These hooks are exactly what you need to fish docks and isolated structures. I love em!

Great jigheadThese babies work. Super sharp hooks. Great fishing landing ratio. They are a little tricky to get on the super stretchy soft plastics. But once on the stay on!!

EWG NedI purchased this product hoping it would prevent snags. And it has for wood, however fishing in limestone rock lakes it still snags in rock when fishing from the bank. However when in a boat it can easily be pulled from these type of snags. So I give it four stars.

Comments: Finesse fishing in challenging conditions (creeks and rivers with rocky bottoms) requires weedless rigging. The Zman NedlockZ EWG jighead makes it very easy to rig most any Ned rig and get hook-ups. I have caught larger creek fish (2+ lb. Smallmouth), etc. with this jighead and highly recommend it. I recommend using Zman products because most plastics made by other companies are poor quality and tear too easy.

From: Unknown: Middle Tennessee 10/2/23

Comments: This is the only non-slip texas rigging Ned Head that I will use with Elaztech baits. That little keeper in the shaft really pins the TRDs and other cylindrical Z-Mans right on the head...No super glue needed like on the Owner Block Heads or Venoms...I fish a lot of Neds and always have a Texposed Ned on board so that I can throw it freely. I mostly use the 1/5 and 1/6 oz and can throw it on my light baitcasters if I have too...Otherwise, I fish them on a 7' MH spin outfit...Give these a try...Tight Lines...

From: Unknown: 9/13/23

Comments: Work extremely well. They're very weedless and the hookup ratio is as good or better than the regular Ned heads.

From: Stefan : 9/10/23

Comments: These are my favorite Ned Rig jig heads. I thought a Texas Rig style might hinder my hook-up percentage, but it doesn't seem to. I have confidence I can fish it around structure. I only use Z-man plastics for Ned Rigs.

From: Unknown: 8/16/23

Comments: awesome ned jig you can throw it anywhere without worrying about snags.

From: Steve: Everett, WA 8/15/23

Comments: The keeper is the best I have used, it is better than the wire. Great weedless setup. It is my go to when fishing the river or Erie.

From: Travis: Athens Ohio 8/6/23

Comments: Fish the Ned Rig a lot. These Nedlockz Jig Heads have increased my hookup percentage immensely and I don't have to worry about hook failure that I use to occasionally have using the standard Ned Rig Jigheads.

From: Unknown: 7/30/23

Comments: These are great when using neds around structure. The ability to fish neds weedless has increased my catch considerably. I highly recommend!

From: RDog: East TN 7/14/23

Comments: Love these. Much stronger than you would guess. Managed to pull in a 19 lb carp today that somehow inhaled my bait. Wasn't expecting that, since I target Smallmouth, Largemouth, Walleye and have to put up with the occasional huge Drum. I'm new to finesse and Ned rig fishing and have been quite impressed with how this technique produces. I'm usually a go big or go home type fisherman that uses oversize baits, but this setup has made me a finesse fishing fan. Hopefully Zman produces a Micro Nedlock EWG in the future.

From: JB: Neenah, WI, USA 7/8/23

Comments: These are by far the best option I have found when it comes to ned rig fishing. The number one thing I love about them is that you don't get snagged as much as you would with the traditional open hook ned head!

From: Joden: West Virginia 7/6/23

Comments: It's OK. Nice weedless option but barbs are to small and have lost a lot of bigger fish. I prefer to use another brand but does get the job done if needed.

From: Unknown: Michigan 6/27/23

Comments: It's okay! I think it can make a difference in some tight wooded areas but you cannot beat the original Ned Head for the action it will give you with using your plastic. I will not say it's the best out there it's just as it's certain applications.

From: Unknown: 6/23/23

Comments: Awesome weedless option for Nedrigs. Ultra sharp hooks and much more stouter than regular shroomz jigheads. Definitely worth a buy!

From: John: San Diego, CA 6/15/23

Comments: Best ned lock jig ever. I pretty much only use zman products now that these and the bulletzs are out.

From: Unknown: 4/22/23

Comments: Top notch, fits Z-man TRD perfectly! Stout hook!

From: TG: Ohio 4/13/23

Comments: These are great. Was able to fish these in weed beds and timber and was able to not get hung up as often.

From: Unknown: 4/8/23

Comments: These are a great jig head. I used the Pro Shroomz Ned Rig jig head in the past, then i gave the Nedlockz EWG a try last summer and never looked back. The rivers and lakes in the PNW are Choked with timber, weeds, rocks, overhangs and the Nedlockz EWG has proved itself. They are strong, sharp and the most impressive feature is the jig you tie on in the morning will the same one when you get off the water that night.

From: Richard: Oregon 3/31/23

Comments: Best ned jig out there, hold zman baits in place, great hook size for smallies ,sharp and stout hook, love them.

From: Francis A: NJ 3/29/23

Comments: Great little weedless ned head, though the Green pumpkin color really isn't much of a green pumpkin at all.

From: Simon: Tennessee 3/25/23

Comments: This jig head is amazing. It always hooks up with the fish and so far I haven't had a fish get off it. I fish for and catch mostly bass and these are great. I use mostly the 1/6 and 1/10, but I have them in all sizes and colors.

From: Unknown: 3/11/23

Comments: Best weedless Ned rig jig head on the market. Sticky sharp and strong. You will not use another jig head after using this.

From: Warren: Virginia 3/8/23

Comments: I really like these hooks But there is one thing that I don't like and that is it really hard to remove a TRD finesse worm to change colors because of the locks.  Maybe they could make some with smaller locks or none at all? Thanks

From: Steve: Milton West Virginia 2/17/23

Comments: It is the best way I have found to keep my ned rig weedless when fishing under docks. the bait seems to last longer. The hooks are very strong.

From: Ron: OH 1/13/23

Comments: Best style Ned rig honestly only fish the ewg or regular style have to set the Hook a little harder but they don't get snagged as easily. 100 percent recommend.

From: Connor: Arizona 1/11/23

Comments: When paired with the Z-Man FattyZ Worm, this is an absolute bass slayer. The weighted end of the hook creates a flawless ned rig presentation and the lock keeps your bait in place cast after cast. Not entirely weedless but it definitely gets the job done. Highly recommend!

From: John: NJ 1/4/23

Comments: Been using these exclusively for the last 2 seasons. Nedlockz EWG Jig Heads are my "GO TO" now. Won't ever go back to the standard Ned Jig Head.

From: Matt: Ct 12/27/22

Comments: Very good jigheads. If you like fishing z-mann plastics and need a jig head that is better around cover, these are for you! I love these!

From: James: Pleasant View, TN 12/12/22

Comments: tried a lot of ned rig jig heads this head is the almost totally weedless and great hookup ratio

From: Gary: ohio 11/19/22

Comments: I fish a very rocky, narrow, relatively shallow river for smallmouth. This jig head is one of the few terminal tackle I can use with minimal snags. It works well with a variety of plastics, Zman plastics primarily. Rock Bass also are drawn to my offerings on this jig head.

From: Unknown: 11/17/22

Comments: Luv this jig fishes thru cover very well and no problem with hookset.

From: Terry: Pa 11/2/22

Comments: Big fan. They work great for Z-Man plastics. I wouldn't use other plastics with these hooks though. Overall, very happy.

From: Jeff: Nevada 10/8/22

Comments: This is an excellent jig head when used with the TRD CRAWZ. Super sharp and very strong hook. I have never had to sharpen the hook even after catching multiple fish. The hook sets easily and solidly. Once hooked the fish never gets off. Like all Z-MAN products high quality!

From: Al: Minnesota 10/8/22

Comments: It works great in situations where you don't want to use an exposed hook. The lead bait keeper holds baits in place very well. Elaztech goes over it easily. Other baits can tear if you're not careful. (I wonder if it was designed that way purposely.) I file the lead down to about half the original and color black with a Sharpie. Hookup ratio is great. Recommend.

From: Edward: Washington, DC 10/1/22

Comments: These jig heads work well around cover. I have little to no hang ups and the hook is stout and sharp. Works great with the finesse TRD, TRD craws and the hula sticks. Those are my go to baits. Thanks for a awesome product Z Man.

From: Brooks: Three Springs, PA 8/5/22

Comments: I really like these heads a lot! The lead shoulder on the shank helps keep the bait tight, and snug to the head, and the EWG hook keeps the bait virtually snagless, even in tough rock, and heavily-wooded cover. If you like bouncing plastics on the bottom, or pitching to heavy cover, these might just be the ticket for you!

From: Eric: Oregon 7/19/22

Comments: I use these with mostly 3 inch TRD zman plastics. Excellent for weedlees application & they stay put! Better then Ownr stuff IMO. these work well in SD Bay for spotted bass & green bass in local lakes.

From: Sean: San Diego, CA 7/15/22

Comments: Excellent jig head. Very sharp and sturdy hook. Hook sets are immediate. With minimal effort the hook is buried in the fish's mouth. Very rare to lose a fish due to hook set. I highly recommend these jig headz.

From: Al: Tower, MN 7/9/22

Comments: These heads have completely changed my Ned Game. Fishing a Ned Texposed allows total autonomy and allows me to cast and skip literally anywhere. Unlike other heads without the Nedlockz keeper, the Z-Man TRDs as well as all their Elaztech products really notch on there and dont budge. I use Venom, Flatlands, Blockeheads, etc, and these blow them all away...I sometimes even pitch the 1/5 and 1/6 oz on my BC gear. But, usually I just launch them out thhere with my & 7 ft spinners or skip cast them into the bramble that I would normally avoid with an opened hook NED...I highly recommend this head.

From: Mark: Putnam, NY 6/17/22

Comments: Great hooks with a bait keeper that works best with elaztech. As long as you're careful you can ease most soft plastics over the keeper though. Hook size seems suitable for 2.5-3.5" baits. Also, the green pumpkin color looks more like black w/ dark green glitter.

From: Unknown: 6/7/22

Comments: Great for the smaller ned plastics like the finesse TRD. They keep the bait on the hook no doubt, just makes it difficult to remove and replace colors.

From: Unknown: 5/6/22

Comments: The 1/5 oz work great for the currents and tides in CA delta waters, at least for me. I use them with all sizes of TRDs as well as FattyZs and TicklerZ. I still need to order some lighter ones next order because sometimes the water isn't moving as strong and I know the whole concept of TRDs is to fish as light as possible. With all of them, the offset area and the molded keeper can sometimes hold onto weed/vegetation, but as far as I'm concerned, ALL baits have potential to do that whether rigged weedless or not. I minimize mine by stuffing as much of the head of the TRD into that offset against the head, that way it kinda balloons outward and keeps vegetation from holding onto that section of the jighead. The properties of the Elaztech allow for this. Ordering some more 1/10s.

From: Nate: Folsom 4/24/22

Comments: These jig heads are great for rigging your Ned rig weedless. Strong Quality hook is also a plus.

From: Greg: Dallas, TX 4/23/22

Comments: The entire point of the EWG is to make the bait weedless, however; the line tie gets caught on a ton of weeds and junk. Would not recommend.

From: Todd: Wisconsin 4/15/22

Comments: Great for zman baits. Not so great for any other. They will tear when sliding over the keeper.

From: Kevin: Unknown 3/13/22

Comments: This has been great way to fish a ned rig in and around weed mats. its also been great for bed fishing in areas where bass are bedding around weed beds.

From: Pablo: Romeoville,IL 3/8/22

Comments: Works very well with ZMan TRD craw and tube. Like the chartreuse offering to add flash to NED baits.

From: Chuck: Floresville, TX 2/21/22

Comments: These work great with ZMan ElaZtech baits. Once you get the hook in place, push the plastic up over the keeper. The keeper holds the lure very securely, and it does not tear the ElaZtech. These hooks would not work so well with other types of plastic. You need the properties of ElaZtech for this style of keeper.

From: Nick: Unknown 2/18/22

Comments: Great for fishing elaz tech baits . You can catch many fish on the same bait all day ! the keeper is the key!!!

From: Bob : Northumberland, PA 1/5/22

Comments: These are great for ned rigging in vegetation. Can't beat the weedless presentation of a Texas rigged bait. One thing that's very important is to pull elaztech baits over the keeper instead of pushing them. Also the beefier hook helps with hard hook sets whereas the original shroomz heads would bend out if you set them too hard.

From: Joe : Monroe, NY 1/1/22

Comments: These are an absolute must have for any bank fisherman, or anyone who is tired of snagging their ned rig constantly. I've tried Lifted, but the hook was too large for a TRD. There's also Flatlands EWG ned hooks, but I like the #1 hook on these. The hook is nice and stout, and the little keeper keeps my TRD on the hook. I 100% could not live without these or my Owner Flashy Swimmers. Two must haves for any bank fisherman!

From: Chris: Cincinnati, OH 12/26/21

Comments: Great for Ned rigging small profile baits like the finesse TRD, the TRD crawz, and TRD bugz

From: Anthony: Chicago 12/5/21

Comments: Great head for fishing smaller plastics in heavy cover .. not a big fan of the keeper works good for elaz tech baits but really tears up standard soft plastic

From: Mason: Ohio 10/30/21

Comments: Best hook for the Fatty-Z. Had my best year fishing these in heavy cover!

From: KM: Illinois 10/17/21

Comments: This Nedlockz hook is the perfect way to fish Ned Rigs weedless. I fished it for two days on a large Tennessee river and never got snagged while catching over 40 smallmouth each day.

From: Greg: Highlands, NC 10/15/21

Comments: The Z-Man Nedlockz EWG Jig head greatly decreases the number of snags my Ned Rig experiences. It does exactly what I hoped it would do.

From: Howard : Unknown 9/24/21

Comments: These hooks work great for small to large bass. They work great for not getting snagged on every little thing in the water when you rig your bait Texas style. They tend to catch weeds just because of the surface area of the jig head, but rarely snag bad enough to lose it. I've caught my pb on these. They also have a little bit slower fall with the 1/6 weight that I always use. A must have for swim baits and paddle tails as well as Ned rigging. I would recommend these to anyone, I always pick some up when I can, I say you should to.

From: Dan : Reading, PA 9/20/21

Comments: Decent Ned heads, keeps snags to a minimum as opposed to the regular Neds. It's a little tough to the the Z man plastics on since they're so plyable but overall a good jig head.

From: Chris: Pennsylvania 9/19/21

Comments: Great for throwing your ned rigs in more cover than the OG fnesse shroomz allow. As some others have noted, the line tie and head will still grab onto pads and grass but my hook point doesnt end up embedded into cover nearly as much. The hook is fairly stout for the size, it won't bend out like the straight shank version. If you want a truly weedless finese presentation, just throw your ned bait on a size 2 ewg hook with a 1/16 bullet weight.

From: Noah: Massachusetts 9/5/21

Comments: I was goin through my tackle and in the bottom of my bag was a pack of the Nedlockz EWG 1/6 ounce Jig Heads and a pack of MegaBass (which I have been looking for weeks ago) but they were 3" Sparks in baby bass color, so I figured it looks like the right size hook, maybe not the best jig head for a swimbait, and the chinlock itself had to be dealt with gently while putting the SparkShad on the jig head, hit it with a lil dab of super glue and said the hell with it let's go throw it in some sparse eel grass, and the bass couldn't get enough of it, got a few 3s and a 5+. Sometimes the silliest things jus works. They're like a match made in heaven, downside ya get two or 3 fish at best. But I'll take it!

From: Dave: Unknown 9/5/21

Comments: Great performance and the perfect solution for fishing the Ned Rig in cover.

From: Greg: Highlands, NC 8/27/21

Comments: Simply the best Ned Rig jig Head on the market,1/10 for max 8 pound fluoroline wind or not is perfect presentation between 3-10 ft level

From: Gianluca: Pontedera, Italy 8/24/21

Comments: Best weedless Ned jig heads out there I definitely would recommend these to anybody that is looking into getting any heads. No more getting hung up on anything and loosing all ur jig heads which ik is very frustrating

From: Tyler Peck: McAlisterville, PA 8/22/21

Comments: Great improvement. The bait hangs up much less and is easier to get it free when it does. The baits stay on great. I seem to loss about the same number of fish as a normal Ned rig, maybe a few less.

From: Trent: Omaha, NE 8/8/21

Comments: These things are a saving grace from the bank. They fit the TRD perfect. i bought some of the Lifted EWG ned hooks, but the hook was too big for a TRD. They are a little too big for the TRD craws though. I have no problems with my hook ups as someone had mentioned. You have to be careful how you skin hook elaztech

From: Chris: Cincinnati, OH 7/26/21

Comments: From my experience using these, the weedless feature is subjective. On rocks or in rivers, sure, but in grass the line tie is not very protected and brings in a lot of vegetation with it. I'll use them with the lil craw in the river, as my main issue with the traditional Ned head was my hook points dulling in rocky snags. Still searching for the ultimate truly weedless Ned head for my grass lake.

From: Unknown: 7/19/21

Comments: This is the best weedless Jig Head I have ever. It penetrates the fishes mouth almost as well as the open hook jig heads and the bait stays secure because of the locking system. A great addition for Ned fishing.

From: Bob: Arizona 7/11/21

Comments: If you want to step your Ned game up to the next level, then you need these. This new head design gives you the ability to fish the Ned weedless and in many more variations. You no longer need to worry about throwing an exposed hook into the Brush, this new head allows for a weedless presentation.

From: Jerod: Pickerington, OH 7/7/21

Comments: I really like the Z-Man Nedlockz EWG Jig Heads it really works good on the smaller rubber bait and the hook is very sharp a very good product

From: Ron: Bellevue, WA 7/1/21

Comments: Great weedless finesse heads. No more worrying about hooks catching under water debris. Wish they'd make a bigger model for the big TRD series

From: Anthony, Chicago, IL

Comments: good jig heads the weight is a little difficult to get around but it does hold well once the body is in place.

From: Unknown: 6/23/21

Comments: I use these only for the TRDs so far and they are great. They hold the TRD well without the need for glue and they come through everything from weeds to brush and rock. Have not had any issues with hookup percentage.

From: Mark: New York 6/23/21

Comments: Z-Man Nedlock EWG Jig Heads are a great asset to the Z-Man line. The hooks are robust and the ability to rig them weedless is a great benefit. They are useful not only for ned rigs, but also for plastic worms, crawfish and other 'creatures'. They're a little on the pricy side, but the weedless aspect allows one to retrieve them from situations where one would lose other style jig heads.

From: Kerry: Florence, AL 6/19/21

Comments: Absolutely love these. Bought them to fish small mouth in the river. Have caught many fish on them, and 9/10 times they will pull free from huge rocks and logs. Overall great jig heads for fishing weedless Ned rigs, will definitely buy more.

From: Sam: Wisconsin 6/5/21

Comments: Love these new Z-man t rigged shroomz heads...Inthrough alot of diff color heads from red to blue and chartreuse to green pumpkin but the main key with my 4in big TRD and Hoolsticks etc is they really help out around wood and timber filled lakes. Yes the head will still catch some but they straight catch bass and big bass too!I usually had 2 tied on 1 weedless and 1 open hook pro shroomz head on deck almost everywhere I travel. I've now gotten big bass in tourneys 4 times off this little finesse technique...just keep drag loose and don't horse the bass and u will catch #s and size anywhere in the country

From: William: Kentucky 6/3/21

Comments: Great ned rig hook.  Keeps plastics locked in at the head of the jig.

From: Dave: Rogers, MN 5/31/21

Comments: I really like these jigs, especially when using the Zman baits. I can rig them weed less and still have a good hookup ratio. I've caught a half dozen 20 inch smallmouth with this setup in the past week.

Comments: I tried these because I wanted to use a ned rig in a spot with a bit more vegetation. Weedless works well. Thicker gauge hook than ned heads of equal size that aren't ewg. Hook up ratio is fine for me. I think maybe next time I will try some without the bait keeper and just use some super glue. When I rig this up on thinner soft plastics, there isn't much meat of the plastic on the hook.

Comments: The hook up ratio has been a bit of an issue for this ned rig jig head compared to others I have tried. I tried them a few days and switched back to what I normally use.

Comments: Not bad for shallow water smallies. Hooks is a bit small. I probably prefer the Flatlands version but still a good option.

Comments: Did a test with one rod with these NED jigs and one with my old NED jigs.   The line tie on these seems to stick out and get caught in weeds more often.   Not the end of the world as they still work fine, but I'll be sticking with my old NED jigs.

Comments: Great little ned rig with bait keeper. I get a ton of bites but my hook up ration is about 50% due to the small #1 hook. Wish they used a #1/0 instead.

Comments: I love this hothead for my Ned rigs. I honestly wouldn't mind the same modeled hook but in a larger size for bigger worms.

Comments: this jighead paired w/ a Zman Fattyz is absolute money. Only setup I use when they slow down.

Comments: Best ned hook on the market. Don't worry about bending this one on a big fish. Awesome versatility, texpose this bad boy and it's nearly impossible to get snagged. Perfectly fits the original trd as well all other Zman soft plastics up through the big TRD style. Will never buy another ned hook!
