Evergreen Bow Worm Product Review
A detailed breakdown of the Evergreen Bow Worm Noodle. A super long JDM soft plastic worm that is made for targeting big bass.Evergreen Bow Worm Noodle Product Review Intro
Plastic worms are some of the most popular, productive, and legendary baits in all of bass fishing. Designed to be rigged and fished in a multitude of ways, plastic worms come in a massive variety of shapes, sizes, and configurations for a wide range of applications and conditions. With such a huge selection on the market, many worms look pretty similar to each other and don’t offer substantial innovation or uniqueness to really set individual baits apart. Enter the Evergreen Bow Worm Noodle.
Made by one of the biggest names in the JDM scene, these baits currently come in 8- and 12-inch sizes and feature a long, slender, noodle-like profile that should grab any bass angler’s attention. While definitely different and eye-catching, the real question is: Do you really need a worm like this in your tackle box? Continue on to see what the Tackle Warehouse staff thinks of these interesting soft plastics!

Breakdown
Performance: 9
Fortified with salt and a shrimp, squid, and baitfish formula, the very soft, long, and extremely skinny profile of the Bow Worm Noodle makes it more challenging to rig than typical worms. Because of this, our favorite way to fish the Bow Worm Noodle is wacky style. Not only is this rigging extremely easy and straightforward, but it puts the hook smack in the middle of the bait for higher hookup ratios while allowing both ends to freely wiggle and flow.
Texas rigging the Bow Worm Noodle definitely wasn’t our first thought, but after seeing a couple rigged this way in a video with pro angler Justin Kerr, it piqued our interest. While it’s certainly possible to Texas rig either size, the 12-inch version leaves a ton of worm trailing behind the hook, likely increasing the probability of missed hooksets. Since these baits have such an ultra-slim design, a light-wire hook and small, very low-profile weight is the best match when Texas rigged.
Coupled with the slim profile, the soft composition of these worms helps give them a ton of action underwater. The Bow Worm Noodle reacts to even the slightest current or angler input, making it easy to impart the most subtle action when presenting to highly pressured or inactive bass. These baits also float, so a Texas rig will allow much of the bait to stand straight up off the bottom, while wacky rigging with a simple unweighted hook provides just enough added weight for a slow, undulating descent.
“These worms are crazy thin but produce a crazy amount of action.”
Durability: 4
Unfortunately, the super thin and soft composition of the Bow Worm Noodle isn’t a great recipe for durability. These baits tear pretty easily, but an O-ring or sleeve can help extend the life of each worm.
“The durability leaves something to be desired.”
Value: 7
Carrying a standard price of $12.99 for either a 10 pack (8”) or 8 pack (12”), the Bow Worm Noodle isn’t exactly cheap at first glance. However, when compared to the few similarly skinny JDM worms out there, including the Geecrack G Crazy Worm (18”/5pk/$11.99) and Imakatsu Skinny Eel Crawler (12”/8pk/$13.99), the Evergreen Bow Worm Noodle falls nicely into the mix.
“The price isn’t half bad for a unique JDM worm, and they are crafted with the precision I’d expect.”
Utility: 6
The high-quality colors, unique profile, and lively movement allows the bait to excel in pressured situations where bass are typically subjected to a nonstop parade of traditional worms. We see the Bow Worm Noodle as a top choice for ultra-clear water, where a more subtle profile is often preferred. Despite its strengths in more “finessy” situations, the Bow Worm Noodle doesn’t have the rigging ease, durability, or versatility of many other worms, which knocks back our score a bit. Our favorite applications include drop shots along with wacky and Neko rigs.
“The 12-incher makes an especially awesome sound when casting — WHOOOOOSH!”
Final Thoughts
A high-quality JDM offering that stands out in a very crowded market, the Bow Worm Noodle is anything but ordinary. Based on its price, durability, and design, we view this bait as more of a specialized worm that we’d reserve to fish when trying to get a bigger bite under tough conditions in clear water. Wherever and however you fish it, the Evergreen Bow Worm Noodle can be a useful and productive addition to your existing arsenal of worms.
