3rd Place - Bailey Gay - 16lb - 11oz - $15,626
Kentucky angler Bailey Gay notched his first Top 10 in Opens competition and heavily relied on a spinnerbait, a 3/4-ounce Accent Lures Spinnerbait paired with a Zoom Split Tail Trailer. For targeting suspended fish, Gay relied on a Deps Sakamata Shad paired on a 1/8-ounce jighead.
4th Place - Trey Schroeder - 16lb - 7oz - $14,584
Schroeder targeted shallow water areas to catch his bass early during the tournament. Schoeder modified a 3/8-ounce spinnerbait by cutting the skirt collar to make it run like a finesse jig for a smaller profile to match the shad. His spinnerbait featured double willow blades with a split-tailed trailer. He also used a RAID Japan Osakana Slide 170 Swimbait. Another top lure was a 3/8 homemade jig, alternating trailers between a Missile Baits Chunky D and 6th Sense Congo Craw 3.8.
5th Place - Stephen Browning - 15lb - 12oz - $13,542
Browning covered water with a bladed jig, using a crawl retrieve across rocky shorelines featuring colored water. A Z-Man ChatterBait JackHammer with a Z-Man DieZel MinnowZ for a trailer was his favored setup.
6th Place - Keith Tuma - 15lb - 9oz - $12,501
A Crush City Freeloader paired with a 3/16-ounce VMC Hybrid swimmer head was Keith's choice for the "easy fish". Tuma chose a Spro RkCrawler for covering water when things slowed a bit offshore. He turned to a 13 Fishing Whipper Snapper for enticing reaction bites. A Supreme Lure Co. Slugg, was his workhourse bait. He used the worm for the fishing in and around cover.
7th Place - Riley Nielsen - 15lb - 4oz - $11,459
