Buzzbaits TW Fall Staff Picks
Anytime bass are up shallow, the taunting clatter of a buzzbait has the potential to produce a big bite; the fall is a great time to put that theory to the test. Throughout this season, bass will typically start to key in on large schools of baitfish rather than a singular target. While this is great for fishing, it can lead to frustration when using a single hook bait, like a buzzbait. Oftentimes, it results in heart-stopping blow-ups followed by heartbreaking results.
To remedy this problem, Tackle Warehouse Staffer, Doug, makes a couple of modifications to his favorite D&M Double Hammer Buzzbait to help bass hone in on his bait. To start, Doug removes the skirt and adds a larger swimbait trailer, like a 4.8" swimbait, to create a more defined target. Throw a stinger hook on the back of your bait and you're sure to bump up your batting average during the fall."The skirtless buzzbait makes a big difference.
