Overview

A must-have for all big bait enthusiasts, the Baitsanity Explorer Gill Glide Bait delivers an ultra-realistic bluegill profile and an unrivaled action that big bass simply can’t resist. Molded with an anatomically correct profile and details, the Baitsanity Explorer Gill Glide Bait features a single joint construction, which generates a wide side-to-side “S” swimming action that draws the curiosity of fish and triggers ferocious strikes. It also features silicone attachments on the inside of the joints to reduce noise as it glides back and forth for a more natural presentation that will fool even the most discerning of bass. Adding to its realism, the 3D scales feature a three-level grain design, which is a progression of texturing that adds more depth to make the bait look more lifelike.

Featuring a patent-pending tail connection system, the Baitsanity Explorer Gill Glide Bait allows anglers to change between the stock tail  Baitsanity HatchMatch Paddle Tail 3.0, and the Baitsanity HatchMatch Atom Tail 30, creating different actions and ensuring the life of your bait, even after a big fish. Armed with a set of premium treble hooks that are ready to chase trophy-caliber bass right out of the package, the Baitsanity Explorer Gill Glide Bait offers a deadly bluegill imitation that will help you catch your next PB.

Awesome baitThis bait gets chewed! Perfect snack sized gill with awesome color and sink rate varieties, quality components (swiveling hook hangers, stock hooks, 2 replacement tails, 2 baitsanity tungsten adhesive weights, and joint silencer pads), and action. The action of this bait is choppy and easy to impart action using your reel and/or rod. I've fished both the slow sink and floating versions, and the rate of fall on this bait is truly a slow-sink. My favorite is the floating version because it's very easy to turn it to suspending or sinking bait by adding the included board weights and/or swapping the hooks and split rings to some that are a bit heavier. I changed my hooks to #2 owner st-56s which turned my floating bait into a slow float allowing me to get down to the desired depth by working the bait or letting the bait float and deadwalking it. Killer bait that is versatile and fish of all sizes love, highly recommend.

Buyers bewareExcellent bait! Catches big fish, looks amazing in the water and love this lure. The bad part about it and it is a major one is you can no longer get replacement tails for this lure. Unless you want the paddle tail version. After the second fish I caught I lost a tail. Put a new one on and after the third fish I looked and the second tail was already came in hinged. If I wouldn’t of noticed it I more then likely would have lost it on the forth fish.

buy itHave caught 20+ fish on this, lost one and instantly bought another. Every bite is 4+ lbs. Bass, striper and catfish. Mainly targeting bass but it gets hit by everything. Always tied on, great product.

Badass color.....I ran across this bait searching for the Chimera and also seen it on Tactical Bassin's list of best glides. It was hard to choose which color because I like all of them. But after seeing it in hand I am more than happy I chose this color. I also bought the UV goldfish which is awesome also. The goldfish is slow sinking so I got the dark gill in floating to have both styles. I also bought the paddle tail extension and being a floating bait it pretty much doubles the wake it makes when reeling it in. So interchangeable tails is another great option you get with these. I just got them and in Michigan the water is froze so I haven't caught anything yet but there's a ton of video's showing them hammering hogs. I think I want at least one more in a light white color And that will complete my arsenal. I'm lying I probably will also get the regular bluegill color for clear water.

Comments: I waited on a drop from a garage bait maker and got a floating gill glide from him. Almost $200 later, my bait arrives. It does not float. I spent way less on this, and it floats. Mass production is the way to go now days...no more hoping and praying some guy takes a lot of your money only to get a bait (hopefully you get it) that isn't what you want.

From: O'billy Dudewright: 10/24/22

Comments: This gets bit by biggins! I've fished both the floating and sinking versions and like both. If had to pick one it would be the floating so I can fish in more spots (Florida is a lot of shallow water and grass). Got over five over 8lbs so far a long with a dozen 5-7lbers.

From: Ted Lincoln : Florida 7/8/22

Comments: I am very impressed by the performance, smooth glide and you can fish it pretty much at any speed. Smallies are crushing it!

From: Ken: Las Vegas 3/25/22

Comments: One of the best performing glides I have seen in a while. I have had consistence results. The tungsten weights included is a whole new level. Great bait.
