Not much choiceThe edge boxes work. I payed the premium for them to store expensive tackle because I have serious corrosion issues here in Virginia Beach, and they do a better job preventing that than the other VCI plastic trays I've used. I haven't tried Buzbe, which seems like the only serious competitor, because I wanted inserts with lids for security when I open one on a kayak. But the inserts are overpriced and I've always been annoyed that they don't stay shut well.

Comments: Really nice way to organize small terminal tackle. The boxes snap shut at the ends and are really secure when placed in the Edge terminal boxes. I like the large ones for flashy swimmers and larger hooks, medium boxes for jig heads and small hooks (sans divider) and paired items (with divider), and small boxes for clips, swivels, etc. Note, these will only fit in the terminal, thin, and 3500 series boxes so check the bottom of the item description on the site to ensure compatibility. They'll technically work in the Flex series and others in a pinch, but will not clip into place given the different dovetail spacing.

Comments: I have been fishing consistently for over ten years and I have never been able to find a product that helped me efficiently organize my terminal tackle until I purchased the Plano Edge box and added the Plano Edge Retainer Inserts. It has been without question the easiest, cleanest, and best way to keep all of my terminal tackle organized. No more terminal tackle getting tossed around my box, or falling into other spaces. Each piece of terminal tackle has its own individual box and the top is see through so you don't have to guess where your items are. I have nothing but the greatest of words to offer about this product. This product has been revolutionary to the fishing industry.

Comments: I bought two of these boxes and use them for weights and small hooks. They fit nicely into a 3500 box that I use for terminal tackle in my pond hopping sling pack. They keep everything perfectly in place.

Comments: Great product!!! Very helpful in organizing terminal tackle kept on my boat. I will buy more.

Comments: The best tackle organization and protective equipment you can buy!!! Have you ever opened up your tackle box/bag only to find that your snaps, swivels, hooks, beads and other small terminal gear have escaped into the other areas? All that working organizing a total waste! Has your tackle box/bag come open by accident and out it all comes all over the ground? All that dirt and debris in with you expensive tackle is sure to cause rust now. Well hold your horses Rodger and check the Plano Edge System out!!! The Plano Edge System is by far the best system for keeping everything neat and protected. I purchased 4 3700 and 4 3600 Terminal boxes and about 30 each of the hook containers and weight containers. My gear is perfectly organized, protected from rust and corrosion, I keep spare terminal and small items in the extra containers, and I can easily move my containers around to the minimum gear needed for the target fish. The Plano Edge gear is a little expensive, but when you factor in the protection and longevity of your expensive terminal gear, the Edge System "WILL" pay for itself. And, my Plano gear is the talk of the town when people see it. I use a main Weekend Guide 3700XL to carry all the gear I may need, and then use a Plano 3600 to bring just what I need at the waters edge.

Comments: I like the customization they offer and while I am sure they will work as intended, I am not happy about them being made in China. I thought Plano was an American company. Not sure I would have bought them had I known this, and I would definitely not pay full price.

Comments: I like how you can swap these out and customize it to my liking!

From: Ronnie: Kendallville IN 1/10/23

Comments: Big enough for most hook sizes for Bass.

From: Bill: Tampa 12/9/22

Comments: These little boxes are awesome they help keep small tackle organized. Drop shot hooks, Nikos ,etc. I even use it for a lot of my crappie small terminal tackle to keep everything organized.

Comments: Not only does Tackle Warehouse provide all tackle and gear at a respectable cost but the shipping and availability is second to none! The retainer inserts worked exactly as described and my drop shot setups are much more organized. I ordered the setup for the bass boat and the drift boat. Thank you Plano and TW for offering a great product!

Comments: Fits into your Plano Edge box as expected and gives you the size of bins you need to arrange your box.

From: William: Washington 6/6/22

Comments: great little boxes. In my opinion, the Edge series is a game changer. The days of hooks, swivels, etc spilling into every other compartment are long gone! They are great for smaller jigs too.

From: Unknown: Lake Saint Clair, MI 5/26/22

Comments: I love these retainers. I have used them in several Plano 3700 Edge tackle storage. I have bought many different types and I will be buying more. I recommend them to anyone who builds and repairs their own lures.

From: James C.: 3/7/22

Comments: Like the fact that I can purchase extra cases and interchange them based on my needs. Great tackle storage box!

From: Mark: Medina, Ohio 2/28/22

Comments: Awesome product! I bought the inserts to customize a Plano Edge Terminal 3700 by replacing the larger hook boxes that don't have dividers and to improve a Plano Edge Thin 3700 by adding covered boxes. Worked as planned and I am very happy with the inserts and the results.

From: Unknown: 2/13/22

Comments: I love the concept, but they need to work on the quality control. Most of the additional boxes I purchased to further customize my terminal tackle box came just slightly warped. I have a difficult time putting them in and taking them out from the box. Perhaps they need a harder plastic. I didnt feel it was worth the effort to return them so I will settle for not taking them out once placed

From: Zach: San Diego, CA 2/2/22

Comments: I wasn't sure about investing in the Plane Edge boxes along with these inserts but now that I did and got a chance to set up and create my own customizable thin 3700 boxes I'm glad I did. The medium size inserts are great because you can keep the little separator which divides the space into two smaller sections or (what I do mostly) is remove them and use the larger space for longer terminal tackle like swimbait jig heads, swivel heads, larger worn hooks, etc... Everything is buttoned up nicely and things like drop shot hooks, ned heads, wacky hooks, etc.. are not able to get caught or stuck between the top and the containers or worse yet jump around and enter other areas.

Comments: Super handy and makes the Edge series boxes customizable. Particularly handy when adding a container or two for terminal gear in my technique-specific boxes of soft plastics. Makes everything I want in one place.

From: Unknown: 12/15/21

Comments: Great product, I used them in the 3700 slim and so nice knowing the hooks stay right where you put them. Definitely recommend for a terminal box

From: Brandon: Carthage, MO 11/20/21

Comments: These inserts are not just for the terminal tackle box but fit all but the skinniest boxes. Makes it easy to create customized application boxes.

From: Steve: Hermitage, TN 7/29/21

Comments: These have changed how I organized my hooks and weights great system

From: Dave: Unknown 7/2/21

Comments: This whole system is great. Super pricey, but in the world of organization, it's worth it.

From: Brent: Boulder City, CO 4/27/21

Comments: Well, now at least my smaller hooks don't migrate around the box.  I have too much money invested in these Edge boxes but at least now they work...

From: Matt:  Mont Vernon, NH 3/29/21

Comments: I decided to try out the terminal tackle box this year because I couldn't figure out a good way to organize all my hooks and weights.  As soon as I tried it, I saw an immediate problem - they give you a few of each size of hook retainer, but there's one problem.  The large boxes are just too big to be useful for most hooks, unless there's a size you carry a mess of.  Being able to buy the small and medium separate has been great.  Plus, if you have any of the 3700 thin boxes that you use for something else, you can use these to put the hooks/weights for a technique specific box in there.  It's ultimately cheaper to just buy these bins separately with a 3700 thin than to buy the terminal pro box, and you get EXACTLY what you want.

From: Sean: Centennial, CO 2/28/21

Comments: Wonderful product...allows me to customize my weight/hook storage boxes in any custom many that I may require. This is great for organizing different types of weights by size and style. Holds everything neatly and tightly in its place.

From: Steve: Dunbarton, New Hampshire 02/19/21

Comments: Great for organizing, sometimes the lid can be a little tricky to open. However, the ability to separate to organize a box out weights the lid being tricky sometimes.

From: Ernie: Maine 2/14/21

Comments: Very good. I have got a lot of use out of them

From: Jimmie: North Charleston, SC 2/12/21

Comments: It took a while to get in stock but exactly what I needed. It gave me options with my Plano Edge 3700 terminal.
