Casts a mile! Super weedless! CATCHES BIGS!!!If you like topwater blow ups, particularly walking baits, you will love the Mongrel! This bait casts further than any hollow body bait I’ve ever used, is incredibly weedless, easy to walk and just gets BIT!!! Throw it up into the thickest cover or even open water, the walking action combined with the best beads/rattles you could find and get ready to hold on!!! People have commented that it isn’t durable or separates where the hollow body meets the hard plastic, but I have not had this issue and highly recommend this bait.
The build quality is garbageThe glued body comes off the head immediately, and the weight also falls out because of the poor glue job.
I agree it’s worthlessRubber body separates from plastic, tried using it for an hour before it tore up, great idea just a poor design.
BIG FISH BAIT !The Frog Factory Mongrel is fantastic for targeting "kicker" & trophy largemouth bass. Smaller fish will hit and miss, but monsters will devour this bait. The loud rattles make the lure easy to find, so covering water is faster and more efficient. The Mongrel is proof that, " Every Dog has His Day"! Good Fishing!
WorthlessI gave it a 1 because zero was not an option. I purchased 4. I have used 2 and they both broke on the first fish.
