Previous Selling Price: $99.99-139.99
Continuing 13 Fishing’s tradition of excellence and angler value, the new 13 Fishing Omen Black 2 Casting Rods build upon the success of the original series and now feature some key upgrades.
Delivering unbelievable actions thoroughly tested for a wide range of bass fishing applications, the 13 Fishing Omen Black 2 Casting Rods feature advanced 30-ton Japanese Toray blanks with PVG technology. Poly Vector Graphite Technology allows for the strategic interlacing of graphite to precisely control the fiber angle alignment during the blank rolling process. PVG’s tighter graphite composition increases sensitivity and hoop strength by preventing energy loss due to ovalization under extreme pressure. The result is some of the most balanced and sensitive rods in their class.
High quality ALPS guides with Zirconia inserts are precisely placed on each blank to maximize blank performance, while also increasing durability and casting capabilities. Evolve Engage reel seats form a lightweight comfortable base for your reels and hand-selected 3A Portuguese full cork handles deliver all-day comfort. Also equipped with an Evolve snag-less hook keeper for added convenience, the new 13 Fishing Omen Black 2 Casting Rods are better than ever.
Features:
-30-ton Japanese Toray blanks with PVG technology
-ALPS guides with Zirconia inserts
-Evolve Engage reel seats
-Hand-selected 3A Portuguese full cork handle
-Evolve Snag-less hook keeper

Comments: I had a few 13 Fishing Concept Z reels and they are my hands down workhorses among my reels. Thanks to the reels being a great product I took a shot and got this rod at a fishing show a couple years back. It was short money so I took a gamble. If I knew how well the rod was going to perform I would of bought several that day. This is a lot of rod for short money. My 7'3" MH has easily caught over a thousand bass and other species like Northern Pike (big ones). The action and sensitivity are good. Even with a bottom contact bait like a dark sleeper I rarely miss bites. It is a true MH, more backbone than my Dobyns champion heavy (which I also love). I have purchased many more expensive rods in the $250 range and this rod is still always on my boat. I just cant take it out of the rotation. Just like with anything that is man made, there can be issues with quality or failure. I have not experienced this, and I promise you I use and abuse my gear.

Comments: I snapped two of these rods this season setting the hook on fish, one of which was a 13" bass. Steer clear of 13 fishing rods.
From: Peter: Bowler, WI 7/13/21
Comments: Bought the 7'1" heavy last year and has yet to break most durable rod I got I used it as my pike rod and catch 30in + consistently and I can just muscle them in great rod for the money
From: Bob: Colorado 4/30/21
Comments: My first rod and reel combo was the spinning version of this rod paired with a shimano sedona. Now I am a full out tackle junkie with multiple high end rods and reels and I am still impressed with the way this rod preforms for the price. I had no idea what I was doing when I began fishing and was fishing a frog in heavy vegetation with a medium hvy spinning rod and somehow it towed in a 7lb largemouth. I have tried other rods at this price point but i'm not sure you can go wrong with this rod.

Comments: I'm a predominately a kayak fisherman. I had this rod for roughly a year until it broke on a snag while fishing it in a pond. Handle is cheap, build quality is cheap. Two eyelets broke within a year's use. I would not recommend these rods to anybody. Overpriced for how poorly they are built.
From: Colin: San Diego. CA 10/21/20
Comments:Purchased this rod to go with my Abu caster and so far so good I have no complaints. To be fair I have only used it on one trip and I am not sure how it will hold up with extended use. The price point was great and I like it well enough. The only draw back is the weight.

Comments: Very Bad rod. Guides are coming apart on my rod. Poor workmanship. Buy something else. Anything else.
From: Doug: Grand Rapids 7/17/20
Comments:I got the 7'1" Medium power rod, and have to say the rod feels more like MH. The build quality and sensitivity are there, and it is unclear whether they run stiff to flex throughout the line, or just this rod. In either case, it is very fishable, just stronger than I expected. Great rod for the money, especially on sale.

Comments:I have 3 of these rods, 2 casting and 1 spinning. I got a 7'3" MH casting rod to throw spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and swim jigs with. On a freak October day in the Charles River I caught schoolie stripers all day upwards of 3-5+ lbs on a 1/2oz chatterbait with a paddle tail trailer. Zero issues with this rod. I just caught the sale and ordered a 7'3" Heavy for carolina rigs and big worms. Though I have not used the 7'3" Heavy yet, I can say that both that and the MH feel very stiff and more like XF action than Fast action. In my opinion, it makes it good for setting the hook on the baits I mentioned. Its not the lightest rod but I do like the full cork grips.
From: ED: Boston, MA 1/20/20
Comments:I picked this up during the 25 days of Christmas sale. I got the 7'1 medium power. I usually fish Abu Garcia rods and reels but couldn't pass up a $110 rod for $53. I typically like an exposed blank on the reel seat for sensitivity, but this rod is just as sensitive. I was able to land a fish the first time out with this rod, and with the cork handle I was able the bite more in the handle than any of my other poles. So I don't think it's any more or less sensitive than some of my other rods, but where the thump transfers to my hands is different. As for the look of these rods, I love them. The textured rod is also really nice. I have my rod paired up with a Bass Pro Shop Carbon Lite 5.3:1 and I feel that it's nicely balanced and I was throwing it for around 3 or 4 hours with no problems. Even though I got it for 1/2 off, I'd definitely pay full price for it. I'm also probably going to be looking into some more 13 fishing gear.

Comments:I love 13 fishing reels but this rod is way to heavy for a 120 rod. The eyes on this rod are poorly put together Never had a great experience on their rods. Don't recommend their rods but I do recommend their reels!!

Comments:Great rods! Beautiful looking and are super light and sensitive! Buy with confidence! Price is awesome!

Comments:The omen black 2 compared to the original omem is a disappointment. The real seat is one piece plastic. I'm very disappointed in the quality of components.
From: Zane:Urbana, Ohio7/1/19
Comments:Writing this review more as a message to 13 fishing. I was a faithful 13 rod user almost exclusively ever since the original omen. I have owned over 20 Omen 1 or 2's over the last 5 or so years. The Omen I was a fantastic rod except the grips had some slight comfort problems. Regardless 13's best rod to date IMO. The Omen II was a good rod, more comfortable (no blisters), but the full grips are a little heavy, cheap cork and balance issues. Still, don't get me wrong Fantastic rod for the price at the time. Furthermore the 13 Warranty program is stellar and a big thank you for treating me so well so many times (at least 10 replacements). Moving forward it appears the Omen is discontinued instead of being improved. I have not owned a Fate but have held them in stores and cal tell you the quality is not there. The tip's are whippy, feel under-powered, and look cheap. Also, I am a grown adult, pretty conservative, and probably not going to own a bright green rod unless I cannot pass upthe quality. Today I compare 13's current entry level rods to the Vendetta, Veritas or Tatula and there is almost no comparison. While 13 once surpassed them in every way it seems now to be the opposite. I understand the business side of entering a new market selling premium goods at a low price only to eventually find a profitable equilibrium. I also understand marketing to kids at the lower price point with flashy colors. But regarding higher priced "adult" rods: as an adult that has been fishing for many many years I understand that $175 plus for a fishing rod is a poor economic choice when I can purchase an equal rod for under $100. Also, I live on the lake and between me and my 3 sons we are bass fishing literally every day and I simply cannot afford to purchase something for big money that could literally break the day it arrived due to being stupid (Fishing with 3 boys on a boat can be chaotic at times). 13, I appreciate the great service and fantastic rods and hopefully ourpaths will meet again. Also, if you are considering this rod, at this price, Go for it!! Buy them until they are gone!!

Comments:These rods are good but not as good as the Gen 1 rods. I like the feel and action mostly of my 7-1 MH but I've broken several guides and multiple rods completely. They have great customer service but I can't recommend rods that are breaking this much. Overall there are better rods for the price range
From: Tom:MN 2/23/19
Comments:I've seen so many negative reviews on this rod and just don't get why. I have the 7'3" heavy. I got it for frogging, C-rigs and pitching jigs, and it works flawlessly for both. It's also very comfortable to hold for hours and has above average sensitivity. I can't imagine it snapping as I've put this thing through hell and back. It's held up really well against 5 and 6 pounders being hauled in through 20lbs of muck. I highly recommend this rod. The ONLY downside I'll share is it's a bit heavy, but for this price point one can't ask for a perfect rod.
From: Dallas - Dallas, TX 10/29/18
Comments:I am not the type to leave reviews, but with all the negative reactions I see, I felt I needed to share my experience. I own 9 13 rods, 10 omen black, 1 crankenstein (which they quit making unfortunately), and two fates and I will never own a rod from another company. The omen black is a tremendous rod for the price, and I would put them up against all of my fishing buddies st. croix, g loomis, etc. Most importantly, 13's customer service and warranty program is second to none. Rods do break, especially if you fish a lot of tournaments. No matter how careful you are, you'll have partners step on them, rod lockers slam etc. I have broke 3 in 5 years, and 2 of them were my fault, and one happened on a hookset. They replace them for a period of five years m, and send them back quickly. I would venture to say 75 percent of rods you think just snap on a hookset are a direct result from some abuse you are unaware has happened, like netting a fish etc. if they do break, don't complain, follow the simple instructions on the site and send it back. You will get a new rod in weeks. Even if a warranty replacement breaks, you can continue to replace them for 5 years. As for the complaints about feel, if you can show me a 100 dollar rod with better sensitivity and softer tip, I'll shut up. They don't exist. I've had rods for 3 times the cost that doesn't hold a candle to the omen black, and that is 13 3rd teir quality. Sorry for rambling, but all the lies and misinformation on these reviews piss me off. Just like you'll see a review for top of the line braid crying about casting a lure off. When the truth is they can't tie a proper braid knot.
From: Shane:Indiana 7/27/18
Comments:I have had the 7'1 MH for 2 years and its still a beast! I have used it for vibrating jigs, spinnerbaits, and most of all t-rig plastics. This rod has great backbone to get good hook penetration and to pull bass out of tulies. Overall, a great durable all around rod at an amazing price point.
From: Jeff:San Diego, Ca5/14/18
Comments:Got the 7'3" MH. I have mixed feelings about it. The rod looks beautiful. But....much stiffer than any other medium-heavy bass rod I have. Takes away from the action of almost everything you would use a MH for.Doesn't cast as well either.Good looking rod to have at the house but doesn't seem to keep me using it very much. Also butt is too short for my liking.
From:Unknown: Fort Lauderdale 2/12/18
Comments:Had a 7' Med Fast for about a year before the reel seat came lose from the rod blank. the gap in the reel seat where you are supposed to be able to feel the rod blank directly for more sesitvity is a lie. Its a false Blank it spins with the reel seat not the rod Blank itself. Very Upset.
From:Sam: Michigan 1/28/18
Comments:Just want ppl to know I bought 8 of these rods thinking they were solid rod but 5 of them are broke. Do not recommend these at all! A lot of the rod either snapped when casting or the whole rod you can turn the blank cause of the glue wire off and have only had them for 2 months.
From: Andrew: 10/29/17
Comments:I have the 7'1 hvy. Really stiff. Only thing I'd use it for is punching and maybe throwing a 1 oz. c rig. I've also lost two guides on them. Overall, if you're guying to buy an omen black i would be the 7'1 mh or 7'6 mh for flipping and heavier equipment.
From: Evan: The Woodlands 10/1/17
Comments: I've had my omen black 7'3 heavy for about a year now and I loved every second of it, until it broke due to a freak accident, totally my fault I was riding my bike and went over a drainage ditch which was deeper than I expected and the rod plunged into the ground and snapped clean in half, any rod would have broken in that situation. This is a great product and its withheld through pulling 8+ lb bass out of weeds and flips them onto the bank with ease. I'll be checking out a DEFY next because of the price point but if you are on the edge of buying the OMEN I would 100% do it, well worth the money.
From: Alex: FL 9/12/17
Comments: Not sure why everyone is having problems with their rod breaking.. I have a 6'7" MH rod paired with a baitcaster, and have pulled multiple large smallmouths and pike into the boat. Rod is very sensitive, I can feel every rock and structure on the bottom, and it has enough backbone to set the hook, and keep a fish pinned. The shorter handle makes it easy to cast from my kayak, and get my lure in the strike zone of the fish.. Don't knock it until you try it.
From: Klayton: Ottawa 9/6/17
Comments:To start I got this rod in 7'1 MH mostly for t rigs. I got it at a Going out of business sale for cheap. Had the rod for just at 3 weeks and used it 4xs. It split into about half way down the rod on a hook set. The store wldnt take it back so I looked up the warranty on 13 website. Sent it back as craftsmanship warranty and got a brand new replacement in a week. All I paid was the shipping. I've been fishing the new one like crazy. Love it. Only thing I dnt like is the short handle. Not bad short just like a little longer. Great feel and the company stood behind their product. Definitely will be looking into more tools from 13!!
From: Dale 8/19/17
Comments:This is crap. I went to set the hook for a 2 pound bass. This would be my second fish on this rod. The rod snapped. Looked at the warranty and it said "it does not cover intentionally and/or accidentally damaged parts.
From: Westin: Arkansas 7/7/17
Comments:I purchased the 6'7" Medium Fast and paired it with a Revo S with 12 floro. I've only thrown jerk baits and shallow square bills with it. So far it's an awesome combo. The shorter rod allows me to make accurate casts when fishing shallow banks.
From: Trevor E.: Orono, MN 6/30/17
Comments:Bought the med fast for spinners and what not. I love it. It feels a bit whippy for what I'm used to. (Compared to cheap sub $100 rods) I don't see this thing breaking like some of the comments have said, but I'm a kayak angler and I don't boat flip. I'll be setting up jig rod soon enough in the med heavy. I'm getting tingles thinking about it.
From: Nicholas: West Virginia 6/19/17
Comments:I bought the 7'-1" heavy action and it's a stud. Absolutely a beast. In the first week of use I caught over 50 huge bass on it. The largest one was over 9 lbs. The rod performs flawless. Great product.
This rod was driving worm hooks deep at 40 yds away from the boat with 15 lb flouro.I'll be buying another one soon.
From: Jason K: Belleville,Il 5/21/17
Comments:Excellent rods! Sensitive, durable, and lightweight, makes these a pleasure to fish with all day. All of the lengths, powers and actions has covered any application I need and then some. And with a five year warranty and oops protection was a no brainer for me to choose the Omen Black.
From: Mike - Logan, IA 5/13/17
Comments:Many angler tell me they always end up breaking their 13 Fishing rods ( I assume mainly due to user error) but I've had ZERO issues with mine such as hook sets and what not but I broke 2 by accident which had nothing to do with fishing. Accidentally broke 2 rods (closed a car door on one and hit another) and was able to receive new ones within a week (no charged). I've owned the 7' Cranking rod, 7'1 MH and the 7'3 Heavy casting rods and these are really great rods for the price. Not a light-weight rod but also not a heavy-weight rod. Handles any fishing application really well. Great rods to start off your fishing, also VERY good customer service from my experience. You can use these rods forever but once you go up the $200+ point, you will feel the difference between these $100 and $200+.
From: XENKO 3/19/17
Comments:I have this rod in the 7'3 Heavy. Looks great, sensitivity is good, but man is it heavy. Working a jig on this rod for more than a couple hours will leave you with dead arms. Overall decent rod, but I won't be buying another.
From: Garrett: Dallas, TX 2/15/17
From: Jake: Danville 1/17/17
Comments:Let me just start off by saying what a phenomenal rod this is. As far as sensitivity goes, these are nearly impossible to beat. The full cork handle, comfortable reel seat, and quality hook keeper seal the deal.
From: Ashton: Dallas, Texas 1/16/17
Comments:I use the 7'6 MH rod as my primary jigging rod, and I absolutely love it! It is paired with a 13 Concept A, and it is the best jig combo I have ever used. Sensitive with backbone, perfect for jigs. Light enough not to wear your arm out.
From: Drew: West Virginia 1/3/17
Comments:I own two of the 13 Omen Black 2 Casting Rods(7'6"MH, 7'11"H). I am a tournament catfisherman and use them, exclusively, for "bumping" while drift fishing. It is an absolute must that my rods are sensitive enough for me to be able to feel and identify structure and bites then, have plenty of backbone to win a fist-fight with a 40, 50, or even 60lb+ angry cat. Both of these rods do just that...and more. "Catfishing ain't pretty." Rods get kicked, stepped on, muddy, wet, slimy, thrown half-way across the boat ramp and cussed at...the whole 9yds. Mine, also, catch fish...bigs and littles. No complaints from me on any aspect of the Omen 2 series. My next purchase will be one of the Omen Spinning Rods....to start upgrading my other passion.....Bass fishing. Overall, excellent product.
From: Darren: Henderson Co., KY 1/30/17
Comments:I don't know how people can like these rods. I had 3 of them and I broke all of them in 6 months. Let me be clear here too, I haven't broken a rod in 3 years( St. Croix, Gloomis, Setyr, Powell). I do a lot of tournament fishing and I Expect my equipment to perform but when I break a rod casting an 1/8 oz skakey head with a 6" roboworm then i think there is a serious issue here!
Comments:I have several of the original Omen rods and they are great rods very sensitive & have held up well. I recently broke my 7'6" MH flip stick dragging a toad out of some have brush after 2 years of heavy fishing. The customer service was great and the new Black 2 is a great rod. Took it out & you can fell every stick your bait even bumps. This is a great company that stands behind there product.

Comments:I now have quite a few 13 Fishing products ranging from the green series, black series, envy, Concept A, C, KP's & I have to say I've only had one shipping problem with one of the 7'7 MH Green Omen two years ago which they replaced so fast I didn't have time to blink! With the new Black series I have the 7'3 in M & MH, both rods are fantastic! I've been using the M for a dock skipping, spinner bait chucking, light cranking rod now for more than half a year with NO problems. I do take care of my equipment, I don't swing bass into the boat that have any weight to them, rods aren't meant to do that. I don't allow my rods to hang over the boat edge and get compressed by docks, reeds & other obstructions in ways they weren't meant to be bent. So far these things are built to a high standard, you can feel every pickup of the bait (use the MH for worms currently) & so far as has been in the past no problems. Looking forward to getting my hands on some more of these!
From: Kris: Minneola, FL 8/17/16
Comments:I purchased the 6'7" medium rod & thought it was a nice rod at first glance. It was light & felt nice. I had never had a bait casting setup before, so I am not an expert on weight or feel or anything, but I have been fishing my whole life. In my first outing with this rod, I got stuck on a reed & then the boat and the tip of the rod broke under an amount of stress that the rod should have been able to handle. Good thing warranties exist.
From: David: Rowley, MA 7/7/16
Comments: Decided to pull the trigger on a 6'10" M/F. Upon arrival I really liked the components throughout the build. The reel seat is comfortable, the full cork is much nicer than I would've predicted & the guides & eyes seemed good. I've gotten probably 10 good outings with it at this point & I am very satisfied. The rod fishes really well. The Omen's price segment is chock full of options & respectively they're all pretty good. The Omen is a nice surprise though. Don't think so much and just get one.
From: TB: USA 7/5/16
Comments:I have several 13 fishing rods I have really liked the rods themselves. I will say however that every one of the rods I have owned the tip has broken on them & recently the tip section of my Envy rod broke & to be covered under warranty you need to send the entire rod back. I will not be purchasing anymore 13 rods.
From: Aaron: USA 6/21/16
Comments:Personally I find this rod uncomfortable & many reviews say that the rod breaks easily when boat flipping or any action where a bit of pressure is applied to the tip. Fortunately it comes with a 5 year warranty. I will update after a few months of use if it has not broken.
From: Nick: SC 6/3/16
Comments:Awesome rod. I have 3 of these rods & none disappoint. I have 2 7'1 heavy & they're perfect jig rods for brush & also somewhat for punching! Great sensitivity & strength. I have a Duckett Ghost 7'3 hvy but i cringe when i boat flip a bass with that rod but i don't with an omen!
From: Ryan: Benton, AR 6/2/16
Comments:I've been using the 7'3 MH for Football Jigs over the past 6 or so months. I've caught a boat load of fish and this has quickly become my favorite rod. I also throw Chatterbaits & Swim Jigs on it, it handles both very well. I thought I'd miss the split grip on the old omens but the full cork handle on these feels great and this rod is very well balanced. I have a few more in different actions on the way!
4/26/16
Comments:Found my new fleet of rods. Absolutely love this rod. Feels more balanced than more expensive rods I own. Well made with quality material. I bought the 7'1 medium heavy. Casting is a breeze very light weight rod feels very good.
4/25/16
Comments:I got this rod about a month ago and I noticed the Guides are not held by the glue very well. I have broken 2 guides on my 7"6 Medium heavy. I own four of these rods and I see the problem in all of my rods. Wont be buying any more.
From: Griffin: SC 3/22/16
Comments:I bought the 7'1 MH model and let me start by saying that the tip is one of the softest tips I've ever seen on a MH rod. Lots of backbone to go along with a soft tip is deadly. This is the true definition of an all purpose rod. I can throw literally anything on this rod. For anglers who are looking for a great all purpose rod for bank fishing, this is your match.
From: Jeff: San Antonio, TX 3/14/16
Comments:Quality rod. Sensitive, light, strong and easy to hold all day. My first 13 rod, and I am impressed. Great price for a quality rod. Just buy it, and be done with it. You will not regret it.
From: John: FL 3/9/16
Comments:This rod is truly phenomenal! I have the 7' MH & have been fishing jigs, texas rigs & buzz baits & it has handled great. It may not be the lightest rod in my arsenal, but it is definitely one of my favorites.
From: Dale: St. Louis, MO 1/3/16
Comments:Best rod I've ever owned! I used to use Duckett Micro Magics, but then I discovered this. The reel seat is super smooth and very comfortable, the full cork grip is amazing, and the blank is super sensitive. 10 out of 10 for me.
From: Tyler: St. Louis, MO 12/25/15
Comments:So my 7'1" MH Omen Black 2 just arrived & I'm very pleased with the packaging. They surely don't play around. The rod itself is very light & I love the look & feel of it. Going out of town for the weekend, so unfortunately won't get to test it until next week, but satisfied so far!
From:Christian: Virginia Beach, VA 11/5/15
Comments:This thing is epic. Wife did a solid and got me this for my birthday, can't say I've been happier with a gift (along with a new Tatula to put on it). I had the first generation & thought it was great, although felt the reel seat could have been more comfortable. This new one fixed that. And the blank feels way more responsive in my hand. Couldn't be happier. Way to go 13 guys, awesome product. Two thumbs way up!
From:Mike: Minneapolis, MN 10/30/15
Comments:Looks great, feels great but still wish these had the Fuji ECS reel seats. most comfortable reel seat ever but these are quality sticks. I have the 7'6"MH & it feels better than most other companies higher dollar rods. Keep the price affordable. Thanks 13 fishing
From: Chuck: NC 10/1315
Comments:Recently purchased two Omen Gen 2's & finding them to be an excellent value. My 7'3'' M has a great tip to it, excellent full cork handle, great build quality. Really like the action on it while still remaining very lightweight & powerful. Isn't the most sensitive blank on the market but far exceeds the $100-130 price tag. I bent one guide on the front deck and lost the insert but was mostly my fault, fairly good guide construction. Overall great value for the price and love the cork handle.
From: Taylor: Winston Salem, NC 10/13/15
Comments:I got the 7'6"MH & feels like it'll be a great rod. It is a tad tip heavy but won't be an issue. Only thing I noticed is a lot of filler in the cork handle. I hope this will hold up over time and the handle not totally be uncomfortable after a short period of time, due to pits in the cork. Other than that, great looking and great quality feeling rod. I'm going to be using swimbaits on this mostly and maybe a big football jig with 20# flurocarbon. Should work out great.
From: Jordan: NC 10/6/15
Comments:Bad ass rod!! I troll 6" rapala's at 3.5-5 mph ripping for Browns. This poll is stiff enough to save my arm from getting jelloy after a long day but also soft enough to troll 2 oz weights with silver trons for salmon. I like the softness to be able to watch my tip with salmon to know if debris catches my hook. This pole is fantastic, can't tell you how many I've been through. I wish the handle was an inch or two longer, but for the price, no better rod out there. Looks tough too, great job 13 fishing. Never heard of you but found the rod on tackle warehouse and am thrilled, I'll defiantly be buying more.
From: Lars: Fresno, CA 9/22/15
Comments:Awesome rod very light and sensitive. Very high end looking. Still getting use to the full handle have only had split grips for about the past 8 years
From: Joey: Ringgold, VA 9/3/15
Comments:amazing fishing rod for the price. Very light. Much improved from the original version. The grip is nice. I can fish all day and I don't feel pain. Very sensitive as well. 5 stars :)
From: Bogdan: Canada 9/1/15
Comments:Awesome rod just got my 7'3" MH very light and sensitive very well built. Looks really high end. Great BANG for the buck. Will definitely be buying more. Haven't owned a full grip handle in a really long time that will take some getting use to again.
From: Joey: Ringgold, VA 8/27/15
Comments:Believe it or not these really are an upgrade from the original. From what I can tell the action and the power are identical to the originals. The weight of these is identical within only a gram or two. They balance just as well maybe better due to the full grip. The upgrades can be found in the quality. The grips are way way more comfortable than the original and the SS guides look and feel stronger. Also you are getting full grip cork which like them or not speak of higher quality.
From: Nathan: Pasco, WA 8/27/15
Comments:Ordered the 6' 10" Med. First impression was how well put together the rod was. Mounted a reel to it and went to the closest pond to try. Rod is very light and balanced perfect. Also has got to be the most comfortable reel seat I ever used. For a medium action rod it has alot of backbone. Won't have trouble fishing 1/2 oz texas rigs. Will be buying more.
From: Ryan: Lafayette, LA 8/21/15
Comments: It's HERE! This finally arrived today. Already took it out and broke it in on a local lake; 2 fish in and I must say the MH is pretty stiff. Very well balanced rod; very responsive caught 2 little guys (1.5 lbs) and I could feel em bite - So far very happy. The only draw back; handle could be a little longer; I got the 7.1 MH - and the hook keeper; yes its innovative; however a tad impractical in my opinion if you are using anything besides a treble hook lure. Love the feel of the rod though.
