Comments: As everyone said above, amazing rod. Great castability, very smooth, and it handles all line very well (braid, flouro, mono.) If you want a fast, quality reel, that will work for almost all power fishing presentations ,than this is the reel for you. Abu Garcia is really on a roll now. I'm excited to see whats in store for 2011 and cant wait for the REVO WINCH to go on sale.

Comments: I don't know! I've gone through two Abu Garcia STX, and the gear and the guider has always broken down on me after 5-6 months. In a little over a year I would have to change it twice. I'm not too happy about the STX, but for the premier, it's still going good for me. Three years and still going strong.

Am I pleased, I not only got the reel for near 70 dollars cheaper than anyone else sells it on sale or damaged, but I got it brand new in box and shipped to my door. Comments:I got this reel during the labor day sale for 120, and it was the best investment I've ever made. I have it paired up with a 6'9" carrot stick, fast action and it is amazing all around. I've flipped jigs, thrown 1/4oz crankbaits, 1oz swimbaits, buzzbaits, slug gos, and the reel has handled them all. super smooth, and able to handle pretty much any situation. my friend got the premier and the only area where i could notice a difference was the weight.

Comments:These are great reels, they are both smooth and strong, very comfortable and will cast a mile. I own other Abu Revos SXs, Winch and a S, along with the STXs. I don't think you can beat them and at this price (with rebate) you can get a STX for the regular price of a S so load up.

Comments:This is the first baitcasting reel I have purchased and I am very glad I decided to buy the STX. It is very smooth and I had no problems other than the first few casts with overruns. This was the first time I had used a baitcaster and needed only 3 casts with this reel to get it down. I can cast much further than I had expected. The price tacklewarehouse is offering this reel at is unbeatable, most places are still selling this reel for 199.99. My advice would be to get them while they are available because these are selling fast and at 139 (119 after rebate) its a hell of a deal.
