Overview

Introducing Abu Garcia’s lightest and most compact low-profile baitcasting reel ever made, the Abu Garcia Zenon MG-LTX Casting Reels combine the new SLC spool concept with hybrid ceramic bearings to create the ultimate finesse baitcasting reel. Weighing in at just 4.5 ounces, MG-LTX casting reels reduce weight without sacrificing strength by leveraging Abu Garcia’s one-piece X-Mag Alloy Frame and C6 carbon side plates. Perfect for casting lightweight finesse-style baits with ease, the IVCB-4 braking system offers fine-tuned adjustments by using a unique four brake block configuration with an external adjustment.

Generously equipped with eleven total bearings, 2 CeramiLite spool bearings greatly improve casting distance, while 8 high-performance corrosion-resistant (HPCR) bearings and one roller bearing in the handle deliver exceptionally smooth retrieves. Fitted with a custom lightweight bent carbon handle and carbon star drag, the ergonomic shape fits into your hands like a glove and the EVA handle knobs provide all-day casting comfort. Comments: I did a review on this reel, it's an absolutely great tool. Is it worth 549? That's very hard to tell, I would rate the metanium shallow spool as the better buy. This thing is ridiculously light and super palmable. But that metanium has a beauty and crispness that is hard to describe.
