BalZout Electronics Mounts - $173.99
Some of the toughest mounts money can buy - the BalZout Electronics Mounts are 100% made in the USA. The sturdy, connecting arms are made from cnc-machined, anodized, aircraft-grade aluminum, and the balls that make the mounts work, as well as, the threaded studs are made from stainless steel. The holes in the knobs also allow you to use the end of whatever is handy to lock them down. That means you don't have to stop half way to your next hot spot and reposition your graph to keep it from beating a hole in your deck or knocking the gel coat off the counsel. The red and blue mounts feature a powder coat finish, while the black is anodized aluminum finish. Rest assured the BalZout Electronics Mounts are strong enough to stand up to the abuse, the knobs are made in Missouri, the studs are made in New York, and BalZout makes the rest.

Comments: Had my Humminbird 1197 on a large RAM mount for a couple of years, but had trouble tightening the ball in cold weather, so some sagging in rough water. Bought the largest BalZout and ran it for a year. Finally hated it enough to go back to the RAM. First, you can't adjust the BalZout to the exact position you want it because of the detents in the joints, so you just have to live with "vicinity". Secondly, the mount is so rigid that all the pounding is transferred directly to the electronics unit. Humminbird makes them pretty tough, but not THAT tough.

Comments: Purchased a red one for console and love it. Quality, appearance and rigidity is A+.

Comments: Never buy a RAM mount again! I have a Humminbird 1198 anchored to the right side of the gunwale and extended that big unit in front of my eyes while driving. It doesn't budge! Try that with your RAM mount for more than a month? These mounts are really under-advertised so allow me to market for them. Put a large unit of your choice at 90 degree angle with both mounts; this one vs. RAM and take off across your favorite busy waterway. I would GO-PRO it but I threw all my Ram mounts away too soon!

Comments: I bought one of these for a Humminbird 899ci. I was not dissapointed. This is by far the best depthfinder mount on the market. A Ram mount looks like a toy compared to this thing. If you want the best buy this.

Comments: I recently purchased this unit to mount my HDS9 Touch. It is well built and rock soild. It holds the unit securely and stationary. Great mount, and so far superior to any other i have seen.

Comments: These things are great, quality aluminum, with ball twist bases. Put a dab of grease on the bases if you plan on moving them around. But they are solid as a rock. Mine holds my 10in tablet, the big waterproof case and the gimbal mount for it. No issues. Im a mechanic so I did go beyond the usual mounting procedure, and she aint going nowhere. They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for in this life. Great product for your units, if Tackle Warehouse would carry the small mounts again I would buy one for my humminbird 798. If your 998, 1198, or big hds units are mounted near the railing of your boat, you need these mounts to ensure your big money unit is staying put!

Comments: I bought two of these and I guess I got one of the bad ones. Both are holding HDS 10s. One is perfectly flawless. The other, a complete POS. In less than one month the color started fading and the knobs loosen constantly and will not stay in place. That is one month time, not sitting in the sun. My boat is garage stored. As I said one is flawless and one is worthless. Need to check on some warranty work

Comments: I cannot tell you how great these things are, we recently installed a HDS 10 on the console of our boat and this thing is solid as a rock. They could charge 3 or 4 hundred dollars for these things and I would buy them again in a heartbeat, after having two other (small) ram mounts break under the minimal weight of a HDS 5 I knew I didn't want a $3000 unit being held above the water by a slightly beefed up version of the same technology (which seems to lose all structural integrity when the weather dips below about 20 degrees). After having it on the boat for a couple months I can say without a doubt that if your graph IS somehow jarred loose from it's original position with this mount, than you are going to have much bigger problems than losing a graph. Bottom line when the ram mounts on my front graphs finally give way (which shouldn't be to long now) I'll be purchasing a couple more of these to go up front and never have to adjust them after going over 2 foot rollers again.

Comments: when the new boat comes in in a week I will put the two on I purchased (have rams on current boat). Look really good and well built. Hopefully the stand up to st. Clair and Erie better than the POS ram mounts... Looks like they are going to be a must have for the GL fishing crowd.
Comments: Just installed them on my Basscat. I love them no more having to adjusting units. I have a HDS 12 and HDS 10 they work perfect!!!

Comments: I have bought the large mount balzout and love it i had other mounts and nothing compares to the balzout.

Comments: Put a BALZOUT on my boat finally someone made a quality mount for my $2k graph no more bouncing off the console while running anymore like my ram mount. Which I threw in the trash. Prob could of sold it but didn't want to be liable for someone else's graph to hit the console. You get what you pay for should of known better than going cheap on a ram. Lesson learned don't make the same mistake as me.

Comments: Mounted Elite-7HDI on the bow with large mount. Set it and forget it does not move even under the roughest conditions. No more Ram Mounts for me.
From: Bill: Spartanburg, SC
Comments: fyi if your existing unit is mounted on the side of your counsel it can be tough to get the balzout mount level. I had to create a shim to get the base level. for sure ten times as sturdy as other mounts on the market but only a quarter of the position options
From: Brian: Wauconda, IL
Comments: Best Mount made, No more having to adjust mount when running in ruff water. Unit stay exactly where you put it no matter how ruff of water.
