Overview

Many times the right tool can make all the difference, especially for a niche procedure, like removing spool pins. The Boca Bearing Spool Pin Pliers feature specially slotted tips that allow for quick and easy removal/installation of spool pins on any reel with a main spool shaft bearing. Simply align the spool pin in the slot then squeeze, once most of the spool pin has been pressed through, use the push pin to gently persuade the rest of the pin out of the hole. For installation, just reverse the process and you’re ready to go. Constructed with hardened alloy steel and anti-skid grips, the Boca Bearing Spool Pin Pliers have turned the once difficult task of removing and installing spool pins into a piece-of-cake.

Comments: These are ok but can be difficult to use. The spool pin alignment is a pain on specific reel types (Lews). I damaged my tournament Mb spool pin. Luckily Lews had an extra (discontinued model) and sent me a new spool free of charge. There are other safer options on Amazon etc. if you are looking to simply flush the existing spool bearing trying using a sharpie cap full on the flushing fluid vs removing the pin and bearing. If looking to replace bearings use a safer tool to prevent a repair or junking a reel.

Comments: Dont waste your money these pliers are cheap junk on the 3rd use the pin bent slipped off and gouged the spool shaft and ruined a $150.00 spool

Comments: HORRIBLE product that doesn't work on larger shimano reels like tranx and torium. Tool scraped up the spool shaft and mangles the pin. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY ANOTHER TOOL.

Comments: These Pliers have worked great for me so far.  I now don't have to worry about bending the spool pin when using these pliers so this is a big plus

Comments: Got mine last week and they seem to work great.  Definitely work better than using a pair of standard pliers.

Comments: Just got mine and they seem to work great on my Revo reels.  It definitely beats using a regular set of pliers.

From: Sam: College Station TX 7/15/17

Comments: I can't use mine after two years of use. The pin has mushroomed and bent, the push seat has rounded out so that the bearing pin just slides off. Worked great for a while, not built to last for 40 bucks. Get the hedgehog!

Comments: Can be sketchy to use. Hard to align without perfect lighting. Can slip and gouge your spool or even damage the pin (especially Lews, haven't had issue with daiwa). Going to try a different brand... oh yeah, these are very expensive for only having one function.
