Comments: Howdy, I bought a few of these baits a few years back and was rather excited when i received them. They do catch fish thats for sure. Ive even had a double hook up on the Snow Leopard and on the Copper Perch. So that is great! What is not great. Their hooks are really weak and snap off. The saddest part for me is most of the them cracked all over. In fact only the Green Copper Shad, Green minnow and one of the I.5" Red Crawdads have not cracked. They were stored in plano boxes with many other brands and no problems with any of them. Its a real bummer especially when youre living on the other side of the planet in South Africa. Would I ever recommend them or buy them again? Nope would not! Sadly.

From: Todd: 8/1/22

Comments: THIS LURE CATCHES EVERYTHING . LAST SATURDAY I CAUGHT A LOT OF FISH STRIPER
LARGE MOUTH ,SPOTTED , SMALL MOUTH AND A 2LB BLUEGILL . ON THE CAL DELTA

From: Kenneth: Fairfield, CA 5/26/21

Comments: Bought the snow leopard color and replaced the crappy stock hooks it comes with with some oversized red daichi round bend trebles and I slayed the fish with this bait... became the favorite crank in my box

From: Ashton: Suffolk, VA 2/27/17

Comments: I bought one of these in the spotted shad I have tiny fish to 5.5lb bass if works great around fallen trees and the edge of weed lines I think these are the best squarebill crankbaits these are the only ones I use now

From: Gunnar: McKinne, Texas  2/12/17

Comments: I just bought the green ghost and the red crawdad. The green ghost have no green on it just a lot of gray & the red crawdad have no red on it, they should have call it Orange crawdad. The two bait look nothing like the pictures. Never buying this square bill again.

From: Jerry: Fresno, CA 7/6/16

Comments: By far my favorite crankbait this thing's a beast. My only problem is the bill will crack after 30-40 fish but I have never had them break off. I like the green minnow but just match the hatch of the pond or lake you're fishing in and you will be killing it.

From: Grant: Council Bluff, IA 5/19/16

Comments: I purchased the RC that Lucky Craft made for a long time before Rick moved to Luck-E-Strike. I now have some of each and can say that these do produce and hold up well. I took some to Lake Fork and put them through the abuse of wood and big fish and was able to fish several days with the same bait without fail. I recommend them.

Comments: One of the best squarebills I've ever used. I can use them in almost any situation. Best deal around.

From: Hayden: Lebanon, TN

Comments: I purchased a few of the new 1.5 rattling series cranks and they all ran horribly. Tuning a bait of this size is not an easy feat and I could not fix this factory flaw. I mailed the baits back, called Luck-E-Strike, and emailed them & I have been ignored. Luck-E-Strike baits have all been removed from boxes and trashed out of principle. Wake up Luck-E-Craft.

From: Bryan: Fairfax, VA 1/19/16

Comments: Like the crankbait but need to change the hooks. Losing fish, definitely need to upgrade the hooks.

From: Jim: Forest, VA 6/2/15

Comments: Good cranks. I like them more than the kvd 1.5's. For the people complaining, baits don't break on their own. Stop smacking them on the water to clean them off. 100% recommend.

From: Nick: Vineland, NJ 12/18/14

Comments: sure it catches fish I've caught 30+ in a day, but every one either cracks and fills with water or the bill breaks  hooks are terrible and break easily.

From: Byron: USA 12/4/14

Comments: bought this bait in the craw pattern. Went out and fished a local stream this evening and caught 4 smallies in about 15 minutes only to have the bill break completely off. And I wasn't even banging it off things.

From: Dickie: Pikeville, KY 5/23/14

Comments: I must have got a dud. Sinks tail down. Tied one on after my ito vision 110 broke the bill off. I had a hot streek going with the megabass at a tournament yesterday untill it broke. Couldn't get bit with one of these.

From: Pete: USA 4/14/14

Comments: Has a wider (and tight) wobble than a KVD 1.5, which I love. I bought the Green Copper Shad last week, and in limited use, I've caught 3 fish on it. Since then I bought the Tasty Shad, but haven't used it. Intend on getting the Reel Shad next. Good stuff.

From: Kevin: Morgan City, LA 4/2/14

Comments: Bait ran really well for a couple of months until I had the bill break off while rubbing rocks. But overall I love this bait and will be buying more of these soon. Also I've caught about 50 bass on the (Reel shad) color series 2 because it resembles a gizzard shad. It would be really helpful if they made a gizzard shad color.

From: Clay: Ely, IA

Comments: I love these baits. Especially since are not as expensive as the Lucky Craft ones. They work just as good. I've caught everything from Smallies, to Northern pike on them. Last week I was catching Channel Cats on them, and one Carp. None were snagged they actually hit the bait. Never had that happen before.

From: Noel: MI

Comments: Great crank for the money. Caught some giants on these lures when nothing else worked. Good paint and very durable. Hooks are total garbage. They are still worth the price with changing the hooks and runs true 98 percent of the time. Beware of the TW sunfish color. Its appears as a muted orange / yellow in the picture but actually is a darker green with just a hint of orange on the belly. Still a great lure. Clunn could have made these perfect with better hooks but I change mine annyway.

From: Steve: Mount Laurel NJ

Comments: Bait runs pretty well but had a problem with bill breaking on mine. Dumped the tackle box (forgot to latch it) and bill broke when hit bottom of boat. Might of had a bad one but other than that bait runs pretty true in water.

From: Rob: NC

Comments: Great squarebill!!! I had taken my friend out to go fishing. He was not as experienced as I was and was looking for Me to help him catch some good bass. We hadn't caught anything all day and were getting kinda down. I had him tie on one of these and boom!!! He caught three in thirty minutes! We went on to catch 12 that day. Thanks luck e strike

From: Robert: VA

Comments: If your hating on this crank stick to soft plastics lol this crank kills them.

From: Jesse: Avondale,AZ

Comments: Produced all year! This is the only bait my kids want to throw. My daughter caught back to back 4 pounders and a fisherman was born. Thanks, Tackle Warehouse

From: Durt: VA

Comments: Pretty solid crankbait for the money. Pretty much the same as his old LC cranks, but less than half the price. I like to throw squarebills into cover mostly, but the only thing I can seem to throw the series 1 and 2 on are my spinning rod....not real good idea throwing cranks into cover with 6# FC. Still nice baits! Series 3 and 4 work well for me, and I plan on picking up a few more!

From: Mike: SoCal

Comments: ive had good luck on the copper perch and snow leopard colors change the hooks tho!!

From: Ethan: Nebraska

Comments: great cold water crankbait. i like the smallest one for smallmouth, largemouth, and sunfish. i caught my first bass of the year on this bait in feburaury. u must switch out the hooks though!

From: Cmac: PA

Comments: A solid shallow crank, especially for the price tag, but do yourself a favor and change out the stock hooks immediately.  Also, pay attention to the fellow Illini reviewer that provides accurate diving depths for each model.  He's right on the money.

From: Mike: Aurora, IL

Comments: Series # 2 is one of the best lurer I own series # 2 bream,over 9lb in 1 1/2 hour.

From: Ron: Mokena, IL

Comments: 04-16-2012. I have the Series 2 (2" 1/4 oz) Spotted Shad. Excellent bait! I also own the similar sized 0.5 Lucky Craft version of this lure. I would say the latter  runs with a little tighter wobble, but both are great in Series 2 size when you want something to appeal to cold front bass. Please note that the depth levels TW shows are not accurate. My Series 2 runs about 2-4 ft. while the Series 1 is 1-2 ft., Series 3 is 3-5ft. and Series 4 is 5-7ft. Not much more to add to what others have said. This crank is a winner.

From: Ed: Campaign, IL

Comments: Series 3, Green copper shad, shallow timber. 14 pounds today.

From: Rick: Angola, IN

Comments: At first I wasn't sure I liked the silent aspect of this crank... Let me tell you, I was WRONG. These things are fish catching machines! Shallow along rocky banks and seawall in the spring is unbeatable. The hogs slam these baby's and don't let go!

From: Ronnie: Warsaw, IN

Comments: love this cranks at first i thought i had orderd a shallow squarre bill crank with rattles but then soon realized that they were silent and thought they would not work in murcky water but treid it anyways and saw that it ran straight and trew right out of the package and 7 cast later caught a 6 pounder then a 3 pounder and soon can a 15 fish day best silent crank ever

From: Shawn: Ont, Canada

Comments: These Luck E Strike rc's run perfect, cast perfect ,deflect cover perfect and catch good fish...couldn't be happier with these crankbaits..definitely helped me collect a check and my biggest fish of the tx. this past weekend. Well done Luck e Strike and R.C.

From: Chris: Henry Co., GA

Comments: I liked the LC baits that Rick Clunn had but since he isn't on them anymore and went to this brand, i like it just as well.  The price is soo much better then the LC baits.  I just wish they also made the American Shad color also.

From: Alexandria, KY

Comments:  I have been throwing squarebills for years, and this is a really good bait. the rc lucky crafts bills are fragile, the old ones arent but the new ones chip and break.. However, you can beat the Lucky Strike off the rocks no problem. this bait holds up very well. I ve caught alot of fish off of this bait. The only downfall is the stock hooks are very cheap, but i change all mine to kvd trebles anyway.

From: Trey: Athens, AL

Comments: Well they run true, are a little light, but I guess they don't make the rattle style.  Also noticed they don't have the color selection as the LC.  But for the price they'll do.  Have not caught a fish on one yet though!

Comments: They seem to run identical to the LC RCs. These are a little lighter so they won't cast as nice. However with the $7 price tag I'd choose these over the LC every time.

From: Sam: Chicago, IL

Comments: The baits run true like the original RC but they are not as balanced when casting. Great for prefishing but not game day.
