Overview

Maxima has incorporated all the desirable properties of 100% Fluorocarbon into this line. This made-in-Germany line has been produced using 21st Century Carbon Technology and offers the ultimate in invisibility, castability, and durability. A blend of low refractive materials and a special non-reflective finish makes Maxima totally invisible to the fish in the water. A new polymer structure makes Maxima more sensitive and enhances it's smooth casting performance. The special finish is additionally treated with a UV-protective agent to further extend the line's useable life.

Comments: Haven't seen many reviews on this line, but decided to try it. I bought 8 pound test for river smallmouth fishing. After a couple times of using it, so far I have to say no complaints. It spooled up really evenly on spinning gear. I stopped while spooling it every 15 cranks or so to check for twisting. The line seems very manageable for fluoro and I didn't get any twisting up of the slack line, or line jumping off the reel as I've seen with other lines. Before my first trip I did spray some reel magic on it. It performed great and is pretty sensitive. I did notice some abrasions from rocks, etc., but the line strength held up even after intentionally not re-tying when I noticed some slight wear. No wind knots or issues with twisting so far. I used a doubled San Diego Jam knot and had no issues breaking off. Did not hook anything huge for a real test but it seems like it would hold up fine.

Comments: I tried this line because of good word of mouth and the strength rating in line tests were really good; however, I regretted that decision! This line only lasted me one time fishing before I removed it. The line kept digging in to itself on the spool, I never had so many backlashes, and when I set the hook, I snapped the line twice! As I attempted to pull off the bad parts of the line and re-tie, I observed that there were bad parts lasting over 30 yards of the line. This line is, by far, the worst fluorocarbon line I've ever tried. Be warned...don't waste your time. I'm going back to Gamma and P-line!

Comments: I bought this line towards the end of last summer and it worked perfectly. No twist no frays no anything. I got 5 lb and it worked perfectly for my spinbait 80 and shakyhead and the rest I used on my crappie gear and used both reels until it was all gone. It lead me to my biggest crappie 16.5" and almost 3lb. and plenty of bass on a shakyhead. I would 100% recommend this line.

Comments: This line sucks!!! limp limp limp ...lost 3 eco drop shot weights because of the weak line, if you make a bend on the line it gets weak and breaks. also it gets all limpy and not straight. Sticking with made in U.S.A. The only line I like is the 15lb. but the less then that such as the 6lb is garbage.

Comments: This is one the best Floro I've ever used.  I use it alot as a top shot in salt water and it never failed me.  Im a big fan of Maxima, especially the Ultragreen.  I also like that the comes in 200yd, instead of 25yds like the Seguar.
