Overview
The Phenix Vengeance Finesse Slider Weights are perfect for slip shotting or light Carolina-rigging. Their narrow cylindrical shape allows them to slip through rocks and other under water obstructions with fewer hangups, and they are easy to peg on to your line with a bobber stopper if you choose. Molded from high quality lead and available in a range of sizes, the Phenix Vengeance Finesse Slider Weights won’t fray lighter lines either.

Comments: Stumbled upon these gems whilst browsing TW for weights - after years of bullet weights and split-shotting, I now use these almost exclusively. Fishing in the boulder-strewn lakes of the California central coast, I found that the pointed head of bullet weights would get wedged in between rocks/boulders and no amount of maneuvering the boat would set it free - resulting in breaking off and losing the whole rig. But now with these slider weights, I have reduced break-offs by about 80% as compared to bullet weights. They slide through narrow cracks much easier, and when I do feel like I may have pulled the weight into a small crack, I can usually free it up with a quick flick of the rod tip. I rig with small bobber stopper (I like Danielson 4-8# for 8# fluoro) about 8"-15" above my bait, with the sliding weight above that (sort-of a Carolina rig without the bead etc.). I like the sliding weight better than split shot because I like to think that if the bass doesnât feel the extraneous weight pulling on the line, then they tend to hold on longer on pick-up before spitting it out. Lastly, if you like to powder coat your weights like I do, then don't heat these up very long or they will start melting/bending because of the very thin diameter. Less than 5 seconds over the heat gun before dipping in powder should do it.
