Overview
Designed with a compact profile and natural action that imitates a variety of baitfish, the SPRO Phat Fly is a top choice when fishing ultra-clear water or targeting bass that are suspended, schooling, or highly pressured. Built on a sticky-sharp Gamakatsu 90-degree jig hook, the Phat Fly is precisely tied with premium synthetic fibers that readily undulate, flow, and pulse for a subtle, highly realistic movement that appeals to even the most finicky fish.
Equipped with a vertical line tie and precisely balanced to maintain a horizontal posture, the Phat Fly fishes perfectly on its own or under a float as part of a "float and fly" rig. Complete with a sculpted head and 3D eyes, the SPRO Phat Fly is highly productive for targeting bass and a long list of other species.

Comments: I first bought them for the cold water application but struck out with no luck. Then one day after I already lost most of search baits, I decided to use these since they were with me in the tackle box of that trip. After 10 casts, I caught my first and largest striper on this. My opinion: buy them if you're targeting stripers. Though the Gamakatsu hook is small, it is tough enough to within the strikes of stripers and not bend. I also hooked a 4-5 lb largemouth, but it came off because I was disappointed that it wasn't a striper. This lure is definitely a keeper as it catches all sorts of bass.

Comments: Threw these phat flys today for the first time. Limited out on crappies. Great hooks, no fish lost.

Comments: Phenomenal, currently my favorite lure to throw in any condition; slow retrieve, jerk jerk cadence, fish just loves this lure.

Comments: These are amazing for getting fish to bite. I use them on a 6'Light (preferably) or a 7'ML spinning rod with light braid to leader. I cast these with either a crappie sized grub trailer or tiny fluke style bait behind them. Have not caught any huge fish with them, but they have enticed a few 2-3lb smallmouth bass in colder months. Overall a great lure. I wish they made a 3/16 size with a slightly bigger hook, but not quite as big as the bass size hair jigs SPRO sells.

Comments: With the float & fly technique using this lure I've caught a 5.8lb zander, a 4.8lb carp and also some bass and a pumpkinseed sunfish. They work for many species and they catch big fish too! I use them in all seasons. They're not just for winter. In summer, when there are a lot of small fish in the lakes these lures are a great option. I use them even in dirty water. Use the chartreuse ghost color in dirty water.

Comments: really good hair jigs. the only ones that i will use. I got the bluegill color and the bass were tearin it up.. I originally bought these for clear water lakes(lake mead, and havasu) after watching some vids on youtube, but i decided to throw them on a stained water lake and it worked really well. they are also good for bluegills and crappie too.
Comments: Early early spring in cold water these little guys cannot be beat on a float and fly!!! These are AMAZING! and the hooks are VERY sharp and sticky! i love the colors bluegill and baby bass. These are the only things i could catch ANYTHING on in the cold water on a float and fly! Im buying a ton more!

Comments: Quality is ok, but the colors are bland and haven't found anyone of them to really keep up with the numbers and quality of fish caught with the custom flies I buy.
