Overview

Designed with the help of renowned jig fisherman, Denny Brauer, the Strike King Denny Brauer Structure Jig offers an increased strike-to-hookup ratio and decreased hang-ups.  The Strike King Denny Brauer Structure Jig features a super-sharp 2X strong Owner Cutting Point hook and a 0-degree line tie - for straight pull and solid penetration.

The skirting in the hook gap has also been thinned to ensure that there is less interference in between the point of the hook and the mouth of the fish. The unique head shape of the Strike King Denny Brauer Structure Jig has a wider bottom footprint as well to provides anglers with increased sensitivity and a tapered nose that helps reduce lip blow out. Attached to the head of the jig there is also a precisely positioned fiber weedguard that greatly reduces snagging. Complete with a high-quality chip-resistant finish, the Strike King Denny Brauer Structure Jig is built with decades of tournament experience and jig-fishing expertise.

Comments: I haven't bought one from tw yet but I am getting ready to order 6. These jigs are the best I've fished in lay downs. Small trees, big trees they don't get hung up. I have 10+ 5lb or bigger fish on 1 jig in trees.

From: Lane: Watseka,Il 3/3/23

Comments: Not a bad jig. I've caught a lot of fish running these jigs. They come through grass pretty good, but not great. Only thing I really don't like about these that will keep me buying them is the hook keeper. It's just too big and tears up trailers a little too much, and they don't hold as long.

From: Don: Grand Rapids, MI 11/3/21

Comments: Amazing all-round jig. ive caught fish on this jig in every possible spot a jig can go. Stout sharp hook, perfect strength weed guard, durable skirt, great colors. This was the very first jig I caught fish on when I started and I will always have a soft spot for this jig.

From: Chen: Colorado 11/16/20

Comments: probably my favorite jig to throw just because of how weedless it is. Also it works where ever you throw it deep or shallow and in what ever cover rocks, grass, docks whatever. the colors are also really nice to. I really like how strike king does their green pumpkin, shading it with brown and green instead of just green. Makes that color a lot more versatile.

From: Sam: Oneida 9/7/20

Comments: These are good do-it-all jigs. They excel at nothing, but are good or decent in every situation. You can flip, drag, and swim. Weedguard is not too stiff and hooksets come easy. That's also thanks to the very sharp and strong hook. My only complaint is the baitkeeper on the hook is large and awkward, it tears up thinner soft plastics way too much.

From: Dominic: Montreal, Canada 3/19/20

Comments: I fish from a kayak, so I cannot perform the heaving acrobatics for a jig hook set you see the pros do on T.V.  I  have not found any problem setting the hook on these jigs.  The shape of the head is like a flattened grass jig, which works great for the cover I fish.  I pitch into reeds, weeds and pads.  The wide bottom of the head doesn't help with penetration, but the tie at the tip is oriented like a punch rig or soft plastics flip bait.  (Not that the shape of the head  of any of the other jigs I use prevent weed penetration.  That huge skirt and trailer drag way more than a slight change in head geometry will compensate for).  The nose-oriented eye needs the jig to be pulled forward as it won't suspend horizontally when flipped and hung off overhead cover.  but it does give more open space for a functional hook gap.  This is no small thing for a kayak fisherman who lacks rod-snapping hook sets. I get hook sets sitting with the rod held off to the side. So that's good.  Firm stems can push through the weed guard, but that's not unusual. Skirts and colors are really good.  I'm confident using the blue craw in the clear-ish lakes I fish.  I don't miss the rattle.

Comments: Hands down the best do it all jig I've ever used. Sure there may be better jigs for flipping, better jigs for swimming, or throwing deep. But I can do everything with this jig and have full confidence in it. I can skip it a mile under a dock, then turn a 180 and throw it in 20' of water and still have the same confidence dragging it on the bottom.

From: Jake: Georgia  7/25/18

Comments: Throw this jig in my little pack yesterday while bank fishing a large pond with Hydrilla lines. Caught some nice 3/4 lb fish pitching and swimming the jig, came thru grass pretty good and hook ups were great, only complaint was the hook bent out a bit on hooksets but I was also using a 7'3" Heavy 13 fishingn omen black 2 With 65 lb braid.

Comments: So l was picking up some jigs for my upcoming tournament on a local lake, and at the time l was a Mpack jig guy and they didn't have any of the jig colers l was looking for in the Mpack flipping jig. And   I've never really been a strike king guy but l had just decided to pick up some of these jigs a give them a try. The next weekend l went to the lake to do some prefishing on the lake and quickly realized that l was simply getting more bites on the strike king jig with a rage craw on the back then the regular other jig l have used in the pass and when l would hook fish l would always hook them in the top of the mouth. Then l went to the heavy grass and started punching it and flipping and pitching it and the jig came in and out of the grass BETTER THEN EVERYTHING I had ever used in my life l was so very impressed with this jig even flipping it into the most extreme heavy cover lay downs the jig asked for more it came out so easy and never got hung so l had to put this jig to the test at the ramp l through the jig in a tree and my line got hung up before the jig did. I will never ever buy another jig brand then a strike king this jig made me a believer in the strike king lure company and since then all of my lures have changed to be a strike king.

From: Preston: Austin TX 11/28/17

Comments: Not my favorite jig. The hookup ratio isn't the best id hook em but they would always come off. They get snagged really easy. Bait keeper just shreds through baits. Get Dirty Jigs they make the best jigs. Strike King makes some great baits just their jig aint one of them

From: Cavan: VA 8/6/17

Comments: Pretty amazing jig! I've been fishing these for the last couple of years and have no complaints, They come through wood, rock, artificial habitat and whatever else you can throw it into. It hooks them really well and very few fish come unbuttoned. Great job Denny and Strike King.

From: Chris: AZ 4/6/17

Comments: Another great jig from SK. If its a jig that has Denny Brauer's name on it, I have to give it a try. I was not disappointed. The head shape is great. I honestly can't think of a time where I lost one of these. It comes through cover great whether it's grass, wood, or rocks. Skipping with this thing is a dream. It skips forever. Peanut Butter Bug and the Black/Blue work best for me in Central Illinois.

From: Jordan: Illinois 2/7/17

Comments: Great jig not gonna lie. I bought (2) 1/2oz Blue Craw and I missed two 5 IBers this past winter. I was mad I set the hook hard, but i still lost them. It could've been the line I was using, or the hook on the jig. I trimmed up the weedguard even, so I have no clue. Best trailer to pair it with is the Paca Chunk in the Blue Craw color. I would buy more, but I need to sharpen the hooks more or something.

From: Sean: Texas 1/13/17

Comments: I have used this jig for everything. Fishing rock, grass, wood, you name it and all I can say is it catches fish. The only problems I have with it is the band holding the skirt is just about to break off of my favorite one and the hook got duller after a couple good fish. Overall though, a good jig.

From: Hunter: Nebraska 11/8/16

Comments: This jig is great. I use it for docks an over hangs most often because you can skip it a mile. Buy far my favorite jig.

From: Harry: Franklin, TN

Comments: Like the ability to skip but I have lost more fish with this jig than any others. 1/2 oz hook is too small. I bent the hook out like Zona said to help with hook ups but still tough. The 3/4 has a better hook gap. They use a different hook & sign me up.

From: TJ: 7/22/16

Comments: These are great jigs, especially for fishing deep water timber. Worked well at Toledo Bend fishing 17-20 FOW in deep stump fields. Never got hung up. The hook used is just a 5/0 Owner wide-gap worm hook. Nothing fancy or specialized, but its a great hook regardless. The only beef I got with this jig is the bait keeper, at least on the 1/2 oz. It makes a huge cavity in the trailer and after 1 or 2 fish the trailer is so torn up at the front it becomes unusable, particularly in Raptor Tail Jr's. I'll try the Z-Mans and see how those work though.

From: Simon: TX 7/10/16

Comments: I've used the 1/2 oz & the 3/8 oz versions & have had the same problem on both of them. The lead head breaks & separates between the bait keeper barb & head. So far, 2 out of 2 have broke there after one fish. I'm not sure what kind of lead the head is made of but it's very brittle. I tried pushing the barb keeper back up & crimping it with pliers & I can't compress it at all. I use 20# fluoro & set the hook pretty hard when jig fishing. I feel the hook flexes & cracks the lead. Great design but needs improvement. They do skip well but not any better than the Hack Attack jig. I'll keep using the Hack Attack jig!

From: Bart: Kokomo, IN 6/25/16

Comments: The versatility of this jig is awesome. You can flip & pitch with it but what it really shines in is skipping under docks.

From: Tyler: Baltimore, MD 12/26/15

Comments: These are my absolute go-to jigs for casting, and I throw them all year round with consistent results. For better hookups, I trim the guard to just beyond the super-sharp hook point and the skirt about 3/8 inch. Think of modifying a jig as you do dress slacks; you get them to fit the way you like. I use different trailers, but mostly go with a large chunk. I let the jig sink to the bottom, then use my rod to vary erratic crawling and hoping motions. Spring & summer bites are aggressive; late fall and winter are more subtle.

From: Barry: Atlanta, GA 11/24/15

Comments: this is one of my all time favorite jigs to throw. The versatility is amazing. You can fish it as a flipping jig and a football jig at the same time. Where I fish a lot, on the shore there's a shallow flat the runs about 4 feet off from shore, and then its straight ledge for 17 feet. I can pitch this shallow, work it like a casting jig, and then work it like a football jig down the ledge. It's killer, especially paired up with a rage tail craw you will hammer fish. Blue Craw w/ a Summer Craw RT Craw trailer is a really nice combo.

From: Nick: Pittsburgh, PA 8/13/15

Comments: This jig comes through brush piles and trees easily rarely getting snagged. Fished one for 3 days on LoZ never lost it caught 2 4.5s and a 5lb large mouth worth 625$ in the big bass bash.

From: Aaron: New Lenox, IL 10/15/14

Comments: Not a bad jig, but overpriced for what you are getting. Mainly the skirt is not made from the best silicone strands. It doesn't flair a whole lot and that's the appeal of a skirted bait to the bass. Head design is a good concept though, but I think you get more with Dirty Jigs and Dandy Baits. I remember when Strike King was a great tackle company. The best thing they have going is their crankbaits.

From: B: LA 6/27/14

Comments: Very poor quality control in my book from Strike King. The eye of the jig was completely coated over. Who wants to spend 5 minutes digging it out with risk of damaging the inside of the eyelet before you can tie it on. Also disappointed with the size of the hook. Having such a short hook shank with a rather large bait keeping it actually reduces the gap quite a bit. I do like the shape of the head and location of the eye. I feel the jig could be used in cover or swimming it quite nicely.
