Overview

A new take on the bladed swim jig, the Strike King Tour Grade Rage Blade Swim Jig features a unique blade and head design. Instead of having the head molded onto the hook like most swim jigs and jigs in general, the weighted head is actually molded onto the blade. Field testing has shown this design greatly increases hook up percentages by giving the blade more movement to get out of the way of the hook when a fish strikes the lure. It also helps decrease snags as well thanks to the increased movement of the blade, and still delivers the classic bladed swim jig vibration that bass can’t resist. The Perfect Skirt and twin tail trailers also combine to provide additional lifelike action, and a custom Gamakatsu hook is sticky sharp and ultra strong to keep fish buttoned down. If you like fishing bladed swim jigs, give the new Strike King Tour Grade Rage Blade Swim Jig a try. The results speak for themselves.

Comments: By far the most weedless blade jig I've tried. Also - the most ignored by the fish, by far.

From: Michael: Illinois 5/31/23

Comments: Incredible bait! Best action I've seen out of a bladed jig. I have literally crawled it along the riprap bottom and not gotten snagged. Incredible the cover you can smash this threw and not get snagged.

From: Justin: Kentucky 1/30/19

Comments: I lost or broke all of my bladed jigs during a really good dock skipping bite so I threw on a big swimming trailer and gave this a try. Unfortunately the blade has to much bite and really doesn't skip well at all. Also a bummer how slow you must reel it to keep it in the water. I will say the bait keeper is awesome and would really like to see that keeper on more products.

From: Moses Lake, Wa 8/21/18

Comments: The only Bladed Jig I don't have to fear hanging up in cover where I fish. Plus it catches big ones, roughly half the bass I have caught with this bait are 3 pounders an over. Please, Strike King don't quite making them because in the last six months most places that I could have purchased these baits no longer carry them.

From: John: Kentucky 8/7/18

Comments: The only thing weird with this bait is I got the blue gill color and it has a lot more purple in the skirt then expected haven't used in water yet but first glace says its going to catch fish.

From: Logan: Tonasket, WA 12/30/17

Comments: Just caught my first fish on one of these yesterday.  I have tried using a traditional bladed jig but most of the cover in my area is rock and wood and they would not come through even mild brush without hanging.  I fished these successfully in a lake with numerous pine deadfalls in areas that I couldn't get a spinnerbait through.  Love the snag free performance and the hook is awesome.  Will be throwing it more in the future.

From: Andrew - NC 4/17/17

Comments: Literally never seen a better action out of a bladed jig, not to mention its very weedless, can be reeled super slow or burned at the surface, and the durability is great. Only ones I buy anymore.

From: Unknown: Nebraska 3/12/17

Comments: Last couple of times Ive gone out using crank bait, jerk bait and worm- went home with 0 catches. Purchased one of these a few months ago (among 20 other style/color baits) and forgot I even had it. Yesterday, found it in my box of goodies and tied it on (3/8 black/blue). Caught 1lb, 2.75lb, 5.25lb, 1lb and lost what felt like a 4-5 pounder. Was skeptical but this bladed jig catches fish, period. I'm ordering a few more of these asap! As a few others have noted, hard to keep 3/8oz down but if you know this and are in shallow water and slow your retrieve, you will catch em.

From: Unknown 3/8/17

Comments: Just won a tournament on this bait and also had a 6.61lb big fish for the kicker. First, all of the comments about not keeping it down in the water column can be controlled by your trailer. It's a great bait for open water and around docks. The one downside to the bait is that is does not go through vegetation very well as it hinders the action of the unique head, but at that point, I would switch to the swim jig if it's getting hung up that much anyway. Rock on!

From: Dan: Spokane, WA 8/22/16

Comments: This bait deflects off rip rap & rock exceedingly well. It is not a bait to burn to the boat. But when the fish are on a square bill & they turn off (or if you're getting back seated by a squarebill), grind this over the junk. Get rid of that hunk of useless trailer they provide, and run a small swimbait. Or better yet, a Missile Craw!

From: Chris: Long Beach, CA 10/20/15

Comments: Ill stick to the chatterbait elite baits. You can burn them and they stay under the surface. I bought 3 when they first came out and gave them away.

From: Joe: Rough Hill, CO 8/25/15

Comments: I have the 3/8. It looks good in the water but as others have said it won't stay down no matter what i do. Also as others said the snap pictured is inaccurate (maybe they fixed it) the snap it comes with is very cheap. Other than that it's good if you're fishing near the surface.

From: Adam: Long Island 4/23/15

Comments: This bait is killing the fish during prespawn in any shas color. Any color of water .. And big fish

From: Jay: VA 3/30/15

Comments: I wish there was an honest review I would have never bought 4 of them. I'm not sure if its a design flaw but every other cast the swivel part flips over itself and lock up. I use a bunch of Strike King stuff but these are terrible sorry.

From: Dale: Gallatin, TN 3/21/15

Comments: Don't get me wrong I love the Z-man chatterbaits but this Strike King RageBlade is killer the sexy shad color is awesome just wish they weren't $6 so you could buy more if the skirt falls off you can put a Zoom swimmin fluke in the white ice color on there and they seem to hit the mess out of it in the spring

From: Austin: Huntsville, AL 3/11/15

Comments: The Rage Blade is a machine when it comes to catching large bass. I like the 3/8 Black/Blue combination in muddy water and the 3/8 Bluegill or Green Pumpkin in clear water. Add a minnow to the hook and you have one awesome presentation that produces big fish. My biggest so far 6lb 14oz. I would recommend buying 3 or more of your color choice because if you throw these where the big ones are you are going to lose some because they snag on branches easily.

From: Yakenstein: Hickory, NC 3/9/15

Comments: This thing in a 1/2oz bluegill absolutely rocks! I've never done well on chatterbaits outside of a pond but each outing I've boated nice fish on this. Tailedit with a Yamo double tail grub and game on. Come over rock and brush better than any others I've thrown

From: Brian: York, PA 7/7/14

Comments: On my third cast of the day I caught an 8 pounder on this, which is my personal best! would recommend 1/2oz because I have the 3/8oz and it tends to not stay down.

From: Thomas: Haymarket, VA 6/30/14

Comments: I have recently started fishing with bladed jigs. I bought this after I lost a chatterbait, and I am pleased. Great action, comes through cover great with the new weighted blade design. Mine did not come with the same snap as pictured, but I have not had a problem with it so far. I have the 3/8oz and would recommend the 1/2 because the 3/8oz will not stay down even when reeled slow. Overall another great lure from strike king.

From: J.C.: USA 5/22/14

Comments: Holy cow...caught a couple of 5 pounders today...awesome considering that im in cheyenne wyoming where no bass is suppose to be...paired with Gary Yamamoto kreature...killer combo...Highly recommend...

From: Danilo: Cheyenne, WY 5/4/14

Comments: After the classic buzz on Chatterbaits I tried several chatterbait style lures out and this is by far the best.  New version has an improved line tie so that is no longer and issue.  Quality Gamakatsu hook. This thing is awesome for shallow grass lakes in the spring and comes through grass and pads like a beast.  Pull off the skirt and add a lake fork magic shad or boot tail magic shad for a set up big bass have never seen before.  Highly recommend.

From: AJ: MO 3/23/14

Comments: LEGIT. I was getting bites the guy throwing a Chatterbait wasn't.

From: Jay6: USA 3/21/14

Comments: Comes through all cover much better than other bladed swim jigs. Hook up ratio is also better.

From: Unknown: USA 3/17/14

Comments: I bought the 3/8 ounce and i couldnt get it to run no more than 3-5ft max on a very slow retrieve.  Junk in my book...

From: Chris: Burlington 3/3/14

Comments: Definitely a different type of bladed swim bait. This bait comes through all types of cover MUCH better than traditional "Chatterbait-style" lures.  Wicked vibration combined with confidence in throwing it in all types of cover makes this a winner, and as long as the line passes through both small loops of the line connector  it is a tremendous improvement on the old duolock snap that comes on all bladed swim baits. I tie directly with 50-65 lb. braid and have caught numerous big bass and striped bass with no distortion of the connector under heavy strain. It would be difficult to resort back to the old style of bladed swim jig after using this product.

From: Thomas: Lake Wylie, SC 2/27/14

Comments: The snap that comes with this lure is definitely in need of an upgrade.  I had to change one out because the eyes would not line up.  The snap that comes with it is not the one in the picture.  A whole lot flimsier. I ended up changing them all out.  Hard to believe SK would put such cheap hardware on a lure.

From: Mike: Central TX

Comments: definitely change the swivel out, but its a goood idea. Swivel broke in testing on a 8lb dumbell.
