Comments: I really like the profile and overall design of this jig but the hook does not last when fishing near wood or rock. If you get hung up you stand a real good chance of getting everything back without breaking off because the hook is soft and will easily bend out. I have been able to bend it back but the hook will already be compromised. After bending the hook back I've had 14" smallmouth bend it out again. The hook will break after correcting the bend more than twice. I've given the jig head plenty of chances but I no long want to risk losing a real good fish on one. It would be a go-to jig head for me if VMC put a better hook in it.

Comments: I have been using these jigs (1/8 and 1/4) for a year now. I give it a 6 out of 10 rating. The hook bends really easy. It's not strong at all. Bait keeper is very good but the paint chips off really fast.

Comments: Awesome awesome awesome jig head!!!! Will easily take any of your jig head presentations and increase the numbers you catch on them. Something about these whether its shape or the giant eyes straight outfishes a standard ball head. Only complaint is the hook is VERY light wire on the 1/8 oz. (All I have fished so far) and braid paired with too tight of drag will bend these out while fighting fish. So, make sure you don't pay more than $1 a jig head. Don't know why TW price on these is so high???

Comments: Fantastic product. Was introduced to these jig heads by walleye fishing friends years ago and they easily cross over from a live bait presentation to a finesse soft plastic jig head for bass. These jig head have caught bass for me from Smith Lake, AL to the Canadian shield lakes. However, as unbelievable as it may seem, you can find the VMC Moon Eyes cheaper elsewhere. I have always paid less than a $1 a jig head in numerous other places; especially if you go with the 8-10 piece packs.
