Overview

Zoom soft plastic baits are known throughout the bass fishing world as tough, dependable plastics that catch fish under every condition, and these lizards are no exception. The secret is in the consistency of the injected plastic - just soft enough for smooth flowing motion in the tail and legs but tough enough to last for more than one fish. The colors run true from lizard to lizard and from bag to bag, ensuring you fish-catching baits every time. Make sure you have enough of your favorite color for the next tournament or the next day of fun fishing. Zoom plastic also takes dye very well, enabling you to customize your baits for changing situations while out on the water. Zoom always offers a great value for a great product.

Comments: Try swimming the 4 inch lizard on top for river smallmouth!! Some crazy topwater hits and if you get to a deeper whole just let it drift on under. I do the same with the 8 inch for pre spawn bass

From: mack: salisbury nc 9/20/23

Comments: I have been using them for I while now and they catch nice bass fast! I use a Texas rig and they work great!

From: 4ReelAnglin': 8/7/23

Comments: Caught my PB (10lb 13oz) bass on a black Zoom lizard at 2 AM on a club night tournament 20 years ago. Dropped it beside a boat ramp and the beast hammered it. Weigh in wasn't till 8 but I didn't care cause I knew the big fish pot was mine!!

From: Unknown: SC 9/17/21

Comments: Carolina rig zoom lizards = bass fishing basics - never fail .. if you don't have a couple bags your missing The zoom lizard boat

From: Dean : Las Vegas.4/16/20

Comments: these are amazing I live in ohio and often have to throw something others are not due to our highly pressured waters and these flat out catch em texas rigs in laydowns and bushes and carolina rigs on rocks these work well for smallies and they also work well in weeds like milfoil my personal favorite color is the black with blue tail they dont just work in ohio they catch fish everywhere ive caught fish on them all the way from lake erie to north carolina

From: Unknown 11/27/18

Comments: If I could only take one bait to the lake this would be it. I've caught countless bass on these lizards and netted twice that many for my dad. Texas rig, Carolina Rig, weightless, it all works. I even watched my wife catch her one and only bass using the Gooseberry color. For me its Black and Blue or Watermelon Red. Great price and great durability!

From: Unknown 4/12/18

Comments: This is by far my go to when the fish aren't biting. I use the watermelon orange and the black with red flake. both work great! fished in many different bodies of water, lots of the places are very pressured, but these still SLAY the bass! amazing bait and definitely recommended for any body of water. Try pegging a 1/16 lead with a 3/0 EWG hook, just ull up and let it sink slow. GREAT bit

From: Unknown 3/9/18

Comments: these baits kill it! the watermelon and pumpkin chartreuse are great for pond fishing. keep a steady reel and just jerk it along every second and bam. you'll have a fish in not time. very durable, you can catch upwards of 20 fish before putting on a new one

From: S&B Fishing: Mississippi 3/8/18

Comments: drop shot them on beds 2inch leader start with green pumpkin or some dark color if the fish move off switch to electric shad or chartruse. start with 6" than go to 4"

From: Matias: Ca 1/6/18

Comments: Caught my PB 5 1/2 largemouth on the black/blue tail. Overall very good plastic are very tough!

From: Brendan: mississippi 6/6/17

Comments: try using with a nail weight in head and real slow stopping occasionally grn ppk or watermellon kills.i use seedess watermellon but sadly they dont have it anymore it looks like. i like throwing in timber u lose em but they always get bit try splitshot 10 in up from lizard works good 2. i give it little tugs then pause repeat

From: Unknown 4/22/17

Comments: It doesn't matter how you rig it or what color you use; Zoom lizards flat out catch bass! They have been the go-to lizard for more than 25 years!

From: Genn - 3/10/17

Comments: These are not just the best lizard but the best soft plastics. I love the six inch size as the black red flake. When it is Texas rigged with a 1/4 ounce worm weight it is straight money. Go and buy these now.

From: Caleb: Salisbury, Connecticut 2/21/17

Comments: These baits are money! They are my go to bait in any depth or the darkness of the water. Fish them on a 5/0 EWG hook with either a 1/4 ounce worm weight or weightless and get ready to catch some toads. They are also great jig trailers. I use the four inch for flipping jigs. I love the black red flake in the 6 inch but I'm sure any color would work.

From: Unknown 2/21/17

Comments: Drop shot bedding bass with the 4" Zoom lizard. Use a standard drop shot approach except tie the hook five inches from the weight. Place the tungsten weight on the bed, then gently raise and lower the lizard, occasionally stopping at the top or bottom to change the cadence. Repeat until the fish is caught. Sometimes if the fish doesn't bite, try a different color or try back later in the day. With so many four inch lizards in a pack, they are an affordable bass nemesis for spring fishing.

From: Meredith: Camdenton, Missouri 2/20/17

Comments: My confidence bait! Fish this around the bank, use green pumpkin chartreuse tail it works in any water

From: Gary: Tennessee  1/3/17

Comments: They're the bestseller for a reason.  They WORK.  I catch half of my pond bass on the 8" Magnum Lizard in Watermelon/Chartreuse.  Occasionally switch to Pumpkin/Chartreuse, but the former works too well most of the time.  Texas-rigged with a 3/8 oz brass bullet worm weight. 2/0 worm hook.  If you can get it to where the fish are, they'll hit it.

From: James: KY 12/1/16

Comments: Don't overlook Dropshotting a Zoom lizard...any size will work, if your hook matches up to your rod & line. Try a circle hook. For that matter, try two circle hooks on your DS rig. You can thank me later!

From: Steve: WA 9/24/16

Comments: Great bait & very productive. I have tried with most success texas rigging & 4 or 5 wide gap hooks. Great color diversity. I have got most bass with water melon, green pumpkin & junebug during spring.

From: Rafamar: Monterrey, NM 5/15/16

Comments: I have caught literally over a hundred bass in a day on these lizards. I do not go anywhere with out the 6in watermelon seed

From: Zach: Theriot, LA 3/14/16

Comments:  I like using the white lizards for the spawn with a 3/16 tungsten and a 3/0 EWG gamakatsu hook & my other favorite color is black with a blue tail

From: Logan: Biloxi, MS 2/15/16

Comments: people say use bigger baits to catch bigger fish that is true in some ways but I recently bought the 6in chartuse pepper lizard an it is awesome I caught a 10lb 3oz bass an several other really good size bass with this as of now this is one of my favorite lizards looking forward to trying some other colors out

From: Seth: Whigham, GA 10/11/15

Comments: These are the best lizards on the market. My favorite colors or red shad and black blue flk. Ive had my most success rigging the weightless and twitching them through grass and texas rigging across the bottom and topwater. Ive had 8in bass take the 6in lizard but if you're going for big bass definitely go with 8in

From: Cristian: Grand Rapids 8/5/15

Comments: These lizards are pretty good. They work real well and catch lots of fish all the time.  They are not the most durable baits thought. The noses tear easily and the limbs fall off. I am also disappointed to see that my favorite color is gone. It was called Blue Moccasin or something like that.  It works well Texas rigged down here. For the price these baits are good, but the Yum lizards hold up just a little bit better.

From: Ethan: Meridian, MS 3/17/14

Comments: This is the best lizard I have ever used and one of my best all time lures.

From: Kyle: US Chicago

Comments: Really productive lizard. Its great on a 3/0 trokar magworm. Wat/red is awesome and if they aint on it like the should be dip the tail in chart. garlic jj's or spike it and they will tear it up.

From: Will: AL

Comments: LOVE THESE THINGS! I have had lots of luck with the 4 inch watermelon red rigged with a 2/0 EWG hook but is better with 3/0 EWG hook. First time ever used, first cast flippin into some sticks and grass caught a 3lb bass largemouth. Also have luck with the 6 inch watermelon red.

From: OR

Comments: It is a good lizard.I have a Watermelon color rigged on a 4/0 EWG Hook. I fished it on a slow retreive. It hit the water and a nice bass hammered it right away. All in all it is a get lizard.

From: Wyatt: SD

Comments: Beats yum by a mile. Best lizard ever made, I like the green pumpkin magic but every color will put bass in your live well with ease.

Comments: Absolutely the best soft plastic to use in the spring time, me and my buddies have been catching largemouth or getting bites 80% of our casts using them weightless and t-rigged on the green with red flake, I have even been using it with a punch skirt weightless with great success. Had to go buy a couple more packs but if the head gets ripped up simply tear just the head off and t-rig it again :)

From: Zach: IN

Comments: im gong to let a cat outta the bag here and tell my fellow friends here on TW a topsecret trick i use in my area on the 8" lizard that got my fish of a lifetime a 18lb. 6oz largie...(this is a topsecret lure for me still,i wont even tell my boat buddies what it is,they think its some plastic lizard made by some mystery brand that i refuse to tell or share haha)ok what i do is take 2 of the 8" lizards and run a small slit in the belly of 1 and place a rattle in it then i run a line of super glue down the bottom (flat side) of the izard and i take another lizard and glue the 2 bottom to bottom (flatsides together) i leave the arms and tails free (unglued).this gives the bait amuch bigger profile and moves more water with all the arms and tails moving plus the added sound of rattles now,so there u have it,if u want to give it a try...its something the bass dont see often...a beefed up lizard.

From: Steveo: USA

Comments:  These lizards are one of the best soft plastics for spawning largemouths.  I know fisherman in Tenn. that use Zoom lizards Carolina-rigged for keeper smallies in the Spring on Norris.  Green pumpkin, cotton candy, and watermelon colors seem to be the most popular colors in the South East.

From: John: Lexington, KY

Comments: Best soft plastic lizard on the market period, way better than the yum lizard, and swims more natural than the yum lizard does. Any color that mimics a sallemander black blue fleck or red fleck, red shad, watermelon red, etc will catch a ton of fish in any water clarity. I don't even hardly bother with any size smaller than 8 inches, it just seems that the bass dont fall for the smaller ones as much, maybe because most lizards on the market are the 6 inch ones or smaller, who knows. I only weight it if im flipping and pitching it, the rest of the time its fished weightless just slow rolling it, mainly because in florida most of the lakes arent all that deep, and the slower more horizontal fall catches more fish than the nose first dive with it weighted. Just slow roll it around any type of cover, and let it fall to the bottom and work it slowly along the bottom like a sallemander then swim it again, or burn it on the surface, like a longer toad almost, absolutely deadly bait, and at 3.99 a pack you can't beat it.

From: Ben: FL

Comments: Love these lizards only ones in my tackle box!! and the only ones that will ever be.

From: Garrett: GA

Comments: just drag it along the bottom and hold on it kills

From: Ben

Comments: best bait ive ever used it is durable and catches bass. I caught 3 four plus bass and a five 3 (get the white)

From: Preston: Tecumseh

Comments: This lure is superb and has caught me tons of fish. However it is not the most durable lure and the head tends to rip.

From: Moffit

Comments: Went thru 2 packs a few days ago. Dont sleep on slow rolling a lizard. Another great '2 presentations in one cast' bait. If you dont know what that means, I aint gonna tell you.

From: Meatwad: Hangin ova

Comments: Aw man! Versatile and Effective. Weightless for a semi topwater bait, Texas rigged(bumped along bottom or slow rolling for a good swimming action), swimbait, flipping and pitching, trailers(4" works best for that), carolina rig. The sky is the limit for these baits. So buy a pack any size I've had yearling bass eat the 6" on several occasions.
