Comments: this is a well built reel. smooth and solid feeling. performed great today, caught multiple 4-5 pound smallmouth.  standout feature is the drag. i expect this reel to last many years. paired with a daiwa tatula medium fast rod , it is well balanced, sensitive, and powerful.  not as light as the daiwa LT reels. the 2500 seemed a bit bigger than other daiwa 2500, more like a 3000 or 3500.

Comments: This reel is solid and buttery smooth. The drag is silky smooth when fighting big fish in current. I will be purchasing another one soon.

Comments: It's a little heavy but it's smoooooooth.

Comments: I recommend the Daiwa eliminator 4000 reel . I originally got it for fishing big bass at lake Toho and my Tournaments in NY but got good use of it reeling in a 38lb red fish . I put it to the ultimate test a 25 min fight and it's still smooth and seems like it will last a long time.

Comments:
Using for river fishing atm with 8lb fluorocarbon and it cast great, smooth retrieve, drag is excellent, and all around I like it! Give it a go if you are thinking about it!

Comments: Love this reel thus far. Using it on fresh water bass applications - it's a bit heavier but I like the solid feel and smoothness great.

Comments: Needed a reel for small/baitfish so I decided to purchase this Daiwa Eliminator 2500. Excellent reel for the price! Very smooth reel right out of the box, great quality and overall look. Performance wise it is worth every penny! I have caught a few bass within the 1lb-2lb range without a problem, has more than enough drag to land decent sized fish. I would highly recommend this reel and would definitely buy it again.

Comments: This is an exceptional reel. Bought this reel in a 2500 size thinking that I should have bought an LT series Diawa instead. Once I started fishing with it, all thoughts of "buyers remorse" went away. This reel is crisp, has excellent drag, and is weighted just right IMO. The very best part of this reel is the awesome sounds you get from the aluminum body. Fitted with a braid to leader, this reel sounds pro level. I have this reel mated to a shimano expride 7' medium rod, and it has been far and away the best spinning combo I have ever used. I have pulled numerous 3lb largies, tons of 1-3 lb smallies, and even a 4.5 lb walleye with this combo. I plan to buy this reel again if I need to outfit another spinning rod.

Comments: Great reel for the price point. I went with the 3000 series and it was a little larger than I had expected, otherwise no complaints at all. Drag performance gets an A+, smoother than any other I've tried in this price range. The retrieve is also incredibly smooth and lacks no power what so ever.

From: Jamie M: Oregon 2/13/20

Comments: Next level reel, super smooth and the drag is strong. Only complaint I have is its a little on the heavy side.

From: Vibu - New Delhi 8/19/19

Comments: Landed a 40lb grass carp on 8lb braid with this and the ardito-tr travel rod. Drag was nearly locked and the fish made several 20 yard runs, the drag on this reel absolutely smoked that fish. Only time will tell how it holds up but I'm extremely impressed, super solid reel for the price tag. I will be taking this setup to fish for trout in South Dakota and Wyoming in a few weeks and will post another review with how it holds up being fished 6-8 hours a day for a week.

From: Cullen: Virgina, 5/19/19

Comments: Absolutely killer reel for the price. super smooth, drag is strong. I spooled the 2500 with 150 yards of 8lb braid and paired it with the Ardito Tr travel spinning rod, It handled a 40lb carp with ease yesterday! Only time will tell how it holds up with the felt drag but i'm very impressed with the performance so far.
