| Buzzbaits can be pretty basic, a blade, wire, hook, head, and skirt and you're catching fish! The Team Daiwa BuzzMax is
generations removed from the basic buzzbait; Daiwa has added some interesting refinements that make BuzzMax a more
effective bait in certain situations. The working part of any buzzbait is the blade and Daiwa has created a new blade design that
makes more noise and splash and a different sound than the standard delta shaped blade. You'll notice the forward facing prop
that is on the leading edge of the blade. This prop makes more splash and throws water well forward of the bait creating more
disturbance and excitement when you run the BuzzMax over lurking bass. The shape of the blade is also different, the front is
curved down to the front point allowing the blade to rotate more freely in the water making it a little faster than the standard
delta design. The head of BuzzMax is extremely weedless and has a flat planning surface giving the bait a little more rise to get
it to the surface quicker. The skirt is top quality silicon that is tied on with nylon string so there is no rubber band to rot out or
slip off. The down sweep of the wire puts the super sharp hook right in a chasing bass' face and the wire can be adjusted to
allow the blade to strike on each turn making more noise. We wish the hook were a little bigger but it is VERY sharp and will
penetrate hard bone and cartilage easily giving you solid hookups. The front prop will tangle with loose grass a little more easily
making BuzzMax better for open water. This is a top-of-the-line bait and will become one of your favorite topwater weapons. |
