Comments: Have been using the 7'1 MH Power Finesse. First, warning: these rods have microguides so forget about braid to leader. Didn't realize that and so rod sat on my wall rack for 2 years unused. But I've lately realized straight braid works fine in the dingy waters I typically fish locally. So I finally gave this one a try on a straight 12 lb braid. OMG, this rod blew my mind. First of all, it casts farther than any spinning rod I've ever used. With aerodynamic dense baits like a Deps Cover Scat, this thing covers an insane amount of water. And the amount of power this rod has in the lower half of the rod to horsefish out of moderate cover is really impressive. I've caught 2 4 lbers on Cover Scat each of the last 2 times I used this rod and it was no problem landing those fish. And the sensitivity is top-notch, which also makes it a great Senko rod, which also chucks a mile, even unweighted. Also great for flukes. And while it does have a fast tip, I've been able to catch fish on mini-max chatterbait and keep them pinned, although time will tell if it really is soft enough to keep that up. But I can throw the mini-max a lot farther on this rod than I can on my Curado 70 bait caster, which is my go-to reel for lighter baits. This rod has really made me rethink why I used to bother tying Fluoro leaders, which definitely reduce casting distance and are just another failure point (although my Alberto knot rarely fails). It is also great for people who prefer spinners to bait casters but want a bit more power than the usual Medium spinners we all throw. Can't recommend it highly enough and can't believe I let it sit in my wall rack unused for so long.

Comments: Have been using the Bailey's Mag for the past month to easily lauch deps 250s( I originally got a megabass leviathan for 250s, but found it way to overloaded). I'm certain I have the upgraded guides as it casts 70lb flouro to 80lb braid knots quite easily. Just got my first striper the past week on it and it held up nicely. Not sure if I would trust the rod to be a traditional moderate taper treble rod as the fish on the end of your line needs to be large to really bend over this rod. But it's been great so far, very light for what it is. Only gripe I have with it is the trigger in the reel seat being way too big while the actual handle length being too short for such a heavy rod.

Comments: Have the 731S Ultra finesse and when I received it I felt the tip was too soft, but after fishing with it I realized this rod is phenomenal! Super soft tip that can throw 1/16 oz hair jigs all the way to 1/4 oz ball head swim baits with ease, and plenty of power. It's like have a light power rod until the 4 th guide, then a medium power rod in the mid section. GREAT NED RIG ROD. Best spinning rod I own for Ned rigs and finesse swim baits, light applications that need to be able to handle bass over 4 lbs.

Comments: Honestly don't waste your time. I bought some of these in the 7'1 medium they were supposed to be extra fast as stated on the website. The rods did not label/display any kind of action. They definitely were not extra fast action, they were fast action. I have an extra fast action Saint Croix rod and it's at night and day difference. The tackle store where I bought them from agreed with me that they weren't extra fast, Luckily they were nice enough and they offered me a store credit for slightly under what I paid. When I called Irod and dealt with Matt he basically acted like they were xf And ignored my feedback and did not offer to even look or exchange the rods. Based on the quality of the graphite and everything with the rods they're not worth $150. Multiple guides were not Epoxyed well, there were air pockets in them. I would totally avoid this and just go by Saint Croix. I've owned a lot of fishing rods now and I'm done with the one off companies. I don't care what people say about these rods for what they charge I would rather spend my money on a Saint Croix or a G Loomis in a heartbeat!

Comments:  bought the 7'7'' Genesis III about 3 years ago. The rod has held up phenomenally well... There was one incident where I wasn't paying attention and lifted my rod into the air and it hit a ceiling fan (in-motion) and the tip didn't break or damage. I've caught a decent amount of fish on this one. This is my first "good" or "expensive" (more than I wanted to spend at the time) rod and I'm writing this review now because I am looking to buy the 7'1" version too.

Comments: I have this. I dont know about incredible sensitivity, but they are decent rods! 30 Ton graphite is average sensitivity, but I Like actions on these rods. I use them for drop shot.

Comments: I bought the new G2. It will definitely help you land more fish. It's like an old school rod on steroids. The moderate tip helps keep fish pinned, but it's the backbone that really impressed me. This has become my go to dropshot rod. I'm also throwing dart heads and shakey heads as well. I've paired it with a 2500 reel, but I think a 3000 would work as well if not better. Like all Irod's, it's super sensitive, but I feel that it's the overall design of the rod that sets it apart.

Comments: I have been fishing the casting rods for two years and finally started to upgrade my spinning rods to IROD.  I used to fish ducketts and the veritas similarly priced rod series for everything.  Now I'm trying to sell all of this to get nothing but IROD's.  The sensitivity is unmatched paired up with the customer service.  I just had a rod snap for the first time after two years and I sent the pieces to the address on their webpage.  6 days after I shipped it, I had a replacement on my doorstep last night!

From: Aaron: San Diego, CA 10/11/17

Comments: Amazingly light and sensitive. But what seperates Irod is the customer service. I called Matt and needed 2 broke rods replaced for a upcoming tourney, he had new rods at my house in 3 days!

From: BK: Roseville, CA 4/17/14

Comments: ive got 2 of these an 8 of there casting rods have no idea where you pepole say there tip heavy i love the I Rods keep up the great work

Comments: My wife just took her new Genesis II out on the water and it was amazing. The soft tip along with the light weight of the rod made for easy hook sets drop shotting. This is a great rod.

From: R.J.: San Diego, CA

Comments: These rods are very tip heavy. I fished with a friends of mine and have never fished with such a tip heavy spinning rod. They definitely need to work on balancing out these rods. I'll stick to dobyns.
