Comments: Really smooth reel, it's very tight with no play in it. I believe it's well worth the money. This is the first of many 13 reels to come.

Comments: Bought this reel for using big swimbaits and so far I am "reelly" happy with it. This reel is tight and not sloppy at all. Smooth casting...and with 40lbs of drag, you can rest assured that fish is coming in one way or another! I was able to pick this reel up when it was on sale and for the price, I don't think I could have made any better choice.

Comments: Its definitely a nice reel and simple to operate with no external spool control. Ill never miss it. Its lightweight but kind of feels lighter than I want... got a 300 Scorpion MD and by comparison the Shimano is much much heftier, time will tell which reel i like better. I've paired up the A3 with an 8' expride Xxh (baller nice rod and seriously lightweight for softbait). Its a nice match of weight and perfect match of esthetics, the lightest and best looking big combo i own. Will report back on performance this summer 2023. Beautiful and lightweight reel, plus Oliver Ngy and Matt Allen both give it the nod, I'm sure its about to be a fun prespawn up in Maine!

Comments: This is a pretty decent reel in this price range. Very comfortable to hold, lighter than most similarly priced reels this size and it even offers a clicky drag, which I think is neat. I've seen very few of these struggle. They seem to hold up for now, even with extensive use. They also cast farther than most other low profile reels this price range. It outcasts the Shimano Tranx and Abu Garcia Revo Beast by a fair distance. I have very few complaints about this model. It's worth the money.

Comments: So far it's been a great reel. I wanted something with aluminum construction and a heavy drag so this was what i went with. It is only my second BaitCast reel the other being more of a entry level Abu Garcia Revo model, with that being said i think the price was fair and seems like it should last a while. I mainly fish bass and Northern pike. it is on a heavy extra fast 7' 5 googan squad rod with great results!!!!

Comments: I wanted the new Concept A3 and was able to get it for christmas from my wife. I had two uses in mind when purchasing this monster of a reel. I wanted to use it for throwing huge swimbaits for double digit bass, and tackling the inshore monsters in the Tampa Bay area. I was absolutely blessed to land my pb Snook on this reel paired with a 13 Fishing Muse Black swimbait rod. I was astonished by how well the reel performed when fighting the snook. That snook was no match for the 40 pound drag that the Concept A3 is equipped with. I have run both the double paddle handle and the power handle that come with the reel and love them both. When throwing big swimbaits I use the power handle to give me that extra edge on the fish. I have full confidence that this reel will get the job done no matter what application I use it in. I highly recommend this reel.

Comments: Awesome reel. Super smooth. Great stopping power. This reel is a beast! Mainly use the A3 for heavier applications in saltwater. Landed sharks, rays and my PB halibut with it. Very happy with the performance of the Concept A3.

Comments: Got this reel as a replacement for a curado. Had an issue with my thumb bar not engaging so I sent it in and also had them replace the bearings w the czb bushings. Thing is a tank now and has brought in big lingcod and albacore. Only surface corrosion from the salt everything inside looks great after each season. I dont like the power handle on it since it doesn't have a counter weight but the corkies are really comfortable and i like being able to find a handle really quickly.

Comments: Ordered my first A3 for swimbaiting. Liked it so much I ordered my 2nd. Smooth reel, cast great, once dialed in I've had very few backlashes. I'm throwing 1.5-3.5oz swimbaits on it with no problem. I would recommend this reel to other Big Fish chasers.

Comments: Great reel for fishing a bit more heavier lures. Our Northern Pikes will meet the power of it.

Comments: By far one of my favorite reels, this reel outperforms any other reel I've ever had. I had a buddy throw it for a day and he ended up buying one as well. Super smooth, has a lot of power and the drag gets as tight as you want. I use mine throwing frogs around the thick vegetation on Toho and I've never had an issue.

Comments: Solid reel for the price, improvements were definitely made from the concept A3 to the A32. It casts farther, is more ergonomic, and overall smoother, it's one badass reel highly recommended.

Comments: This thing is real smooth, it's my first 300 size real and I love it. I love it so much I bought another one

Comments: NO BAIT CLICKER. I imagine this is a fine real, However it was misrepresented to me by 13fishing. ( I should have asked Tackle Warehouse as they recommended 2 reels that did have that feature.) The "Alert Drag" in the description is simply a noisy drag. It ISNOT a bait clicker that you switch on and off that clicks when reel is in freespool, like a Penn saltwater or an ABU 6500 has. I SPECIFICALLY asked 13 fishing rep this question, and they get an F grade for having CS reps without a clue answering questions wrong.

Comments: This is my frog reel. 65 lb braid. Tons of line capacity. Takes up just under 40 inches per handle turn on the 8.1:1. 40lbs drag. This is just a workhorse reel. Only downfall is it is a bigger profile over the Concept A but thats it really.
