Overview

Everybody knows that a squarebill crankbait and a bladed jig are some of the best ways to catch fish all throughout the world, the 13 Fishing Jabber Jaw Hybrid Squarebill Crankbait combines the action of these two highly effective baits into one. To achieve this, the 13 Fishing Jabber Jaw Hybrid Squarebill Crankbait is fitted with an oscillating stainless steel bill and metal jowls embedded into the bait, which creates an aggressive hunting action with a metallic clicking noise that is unlike anything the fish have seen before. Its square-shaped bill also helps create a super strong vibration and gives it the ability to wildly deflect and be fished over heavy cover.

Ideal for anytime the fish are holding in shallow water, the 13 Fishing Jabber Jaw Hybrid Squarebill Crankbait will trigger ferocious strikes and is deadly when fishing behind other anglers for pressured fish. Finished with 3D holographic eyes, an ultra high definition paint job, and premium VMC black nickel treble hooks, the 13 Fishing Jabber Jaw Hybrid Squarebill Crankbait will introduce your local fish to a new level of chaos.

Truffle butter loveThis crank bait wobbles perfectly, solid weight and casts like a dream! I choose the color truffle butter as it imitates rock bass well. I catch a ton of bass, small an large as well as pike and bowfin

If it works, it worksI picked up a few of these when they were on a clearance sale, and had a chance to use one a couple of weeks ago. I caught a number of fish on the Citrus Shad color in stained water including a nice 6lber. I tried it again on New Years day at the same lake but the fish were not having anything moving. I look forward to the warmer weather where a wide wobbling squarebill should be better suited to the conditions.

Awesome lureGreat action, for the price especially in muddy water.

Jury is outThe overall look of this lure is nice. The square bill of this lure, by design, is loose and moves. This lure has a lot of side to side wobble. It doesn’t have a tight run like most square bills. This lure does cast nice. I have fished this lure as the water started to cool down. I’ll try it out in the spring.

My favorite shallow squarebillHas a wide wiggle. Great hooks. Runs fairly shallow. Rarely deeper than about one foot. Take note this crank DOES NOT FLOAT. It's something not said on any description I've seen on this lure. It suspends to a very very slow sink.

Awesome squarebillI haven't thrown it a whole lot but I know people who have and they swear by it! No issues thus far, casts good, have no issues hooking the fish and keeping them pinned.

Detailed HardworkingAfter Testing in my local Florida Lake , Jabber Jaw is well made with unique action. The paint scheme is excellent and no need to upgrade hooks. I’ve had it just a short time and already put a bunch of Bass in the boat! Def give this Lure a try.

Comments: This design has produced extremely well for me in the time I've been using it I feel like it's a presentation of a squarebill that the bass don't see often. Where I live the lakes are heavily pressured and it being pretty much silent and the add of the flash makes it a presentation that the fish can't resist.

From: William: Bossier City, Louisiana 9/6/23

Comments: Lately, I've been loading up on tackle. This month I decided to increase my crankbait collection. I ended up buying 5 of these and I'm really glad I did. The size is perfect for a small crank. What really impressed me was the colors! Looks much more impressive in real life than online. I was very impressed the first time I took it out. The bait runs true right out of the box, and the factory hooks held up to a three and a half pounder no problem! ( I still may change out the hooks)What a concept, a "jackhammer" crankbait! It looks and fells great in the water. The price is right, and it catches fish! I know this bait has been out a little while, but it's new for me, and it's really cool! If u don't own these, u need to get some! The price is great, and it gets the job done! I like them so much that on my next tackle warehouse order, I'm going to buy another 5-6 baits because this is a bait u don't want to run out of! Strong recommend buy!

From: Oheim: Folsom, CA 8/3/23

Comments: This has been my best producing squarebill fishing for river smallmouth in the spring a couple years running now. Great paint jobs and very durable in my experience. They don't get hung up easily either and cast well. Day old guac and Natty light have been great colors for me particularly.

From: Shawn: Twin Cities MN 5/15/23

Comments: It definitely works on large mouth I got some good fish in havisu fishing a tournament definitely going to be a player in my arsenal

From: Dean: Ca 5/6/23

Comments: This is just about my favorite lure right now. I ran out of crankbaits on a trip and went to the tackle shop and picked up a few of these. These lures were on fire. The walleye and bass love these lures. After my trip, I went on Youtube and saw videos calling these "the lure of the year." You better believe I ordered a bunch of these. I was super stoked when they went on sale at Tacklewarehouse. I stocked up!

From: Hoovdogg: CA 5/3/23

Comments: Great bait especially in the spring. Colors are great and that wobble and clicking are attractive especially when the bass are up shallow. Caught several good 3 lbs off this.

From: Scott : Tn 4/12/23

Comments: Great paint job and sticky sharp hooks. I switched out the stock snap for a stronger Decoy egg snap, which was quite a chore. I cannot report on the effectiveness of the bait due to 12" of ice on the local lakes. I don't think many people throw this bait where I live and I am hoping it shows the highly pressured fish something different.

From: Dave: Omaha, NE 1/30/23

Comments: Great crank bait, caught multiple species of fish in Minnesota this summer. love the action.

From: Unknown: 11/5/22

Comments: I have caught the fire out of largemouth bass on this crankbait in Day Old Guac and Lucky Charm using them in spring, summer and fall here in north TX lakes.

From: Steve: Weatherford, TX 11/2/22

Comments: The metal bill gives it a unique sound in the water and the way the line tie is set in the bill lets it run true right out of the box and it stays in tune. One of my new favorite square bill baits.

From: Tom: Payson, Az 10/28/22

Comments: I did get a chance to throw the Jabber Jaw on a recent trip. Pros: Appearance paint is very well done. Tight wobble, rock deflects very nicely. Con's.. I threw it thru shallow cover due to the advertisement of being able to work thru cover. While this might be the case I did not observe this. Overall: The bait dives to approx 2 ft and did catch fish. If can get the bait to work thru the cover would give it a positive rating...

From: Unknown: 10/19/22

Comments: The Jabber Jaw has been working well in the CA delta area. I Have caught many limits of Large mouth bass especially when baitfish are in the water. Many colors work but baits that have orange on the underside of the lure work best. Regular bill works at low tide but deep diving bill works best at high tide.

From: Ron: Oakley, CA 7/10/22

Comments: Great crankbait. Casts much further than a KVD 1.5 maybe even further than a 2.5. Plus you don't have to swap out the hooks. Great action and deflecting ability. Perfect for cypress knees and lay downs in FL. Awesome color selection and even when you knock âem on docks or trees the paint jobs stick.

From: Jimmy: Florida 3/31/22

Comments: This is by far the best crankbait/squarebill I've used, I threw it all day at Dale Hallow and caught about 45+ fish and the hooks and bill is still great and sharp. I would recommend to anybody who uses chatterbaits because the bait has similar action to a chatterbait.

From: Grant: Franklin, TN 3/31/22

Comments: Bass love them! Easy to fish around laydowns.

From: Bubba: GA 3/28/22

Comments: When it comes to square bill cranks this one is gets it done. The action is great. And the bass love it.

From: Ricky: Dubach, LA 2/11/22

Comments: Hands down the best shallow crankbait on the market. I have about 15 of them now. They run really true in the water, and maintain the swimming movement without rolling.....It just keeps digging. The metal bill attracts fish even without banging cover. 13 Fishing definitely made a fish catcher. Oh, and no need to change hooks. The VMC's they use are great.

From: Allen: Summerfield, NC 1/26/22

Comments: I was skeptical at first but once I tried it, I ordered 3 more! The vibration that it feeds back to the rod is amazing and it drives fish crazy. It flat out catches fish. I love it and will be getting more.

From: Unknown: 1/15/22

Comments: 7 fish 15lbs 1outing. What's more to say? Tried it on a Fall afternoon. Can't believe it but it outperformed my Strike King Hybrid Hunter. Going to try the deep diver version, just wish they had a bluegill pattern.

From: Burt: PA 1/11/22

Comments: This lure does catch fish although I'm not sure it catches them any better than any other square bills. It casts well except into a breeze. It tends to tumble into a breeze of 3 or more mph and above. I throw mine on a glass rod so I don't feel the vibration on it until I get it on short line but my buddy uses a graphite rod and says he feels the vibration pretty well. I wish they dove a little deeper. Waiting on the supply chain to kick loose so I can get the deeper diving ones and use them. Haven't had any issues with durability and I've used them quite a bit. I recommend these as a little bit different bait in your arsenal.

From: Brad: California 11/29/21

Comments: Runs good. Looks good. However I have seen no improvement over my normal square bills. I will keep using it, but it's just another square bill to me.

From: Cam: Blooming Grove, TX 11/26/21

Comments: I like it! Good vibration and wobble. A go-to in stained water for sure.

From: Scotty: Texas 11/10/21

Comments: I'm like most everyone else, and loved the idea of it. I'm a little skeptical about the longevity though. Should have been a metal backer in the groove the bill travels in. So far it hasn't given me any issues.

From: Unknown: Carlsbad, NM 11/6/21

Comments: I'm not impressed with this lure's performance. NorthEast fisher here and there are better baits that aren't gimmicks. This catches fishermen, not fish from my experience.

From: Steve: Virginia 11/3/21

Comments: Innovative. Very cool, great colors, nice action. Bill came off after 30 mins of working rip rap. Square bills take an enormous beating. Durability needs some work. I'm sure the next generation of this line will be awesome, but right now they're still in the gimmicky phase. This coming from a big fan of 13's rods.

From: Charles: Omaha, NE 10/20/21

Comments: Was referred to this bait by a friend, who said that they worked well. I like the silent aspect of them and so did the fish on the first trip out with it. I caught a few bass largest was 20" and a few pikes which I was hoping to do. the bait casts well and has an action that is similar to the old wiggle warts. would recommend getting some if you're looking for shallow running yet enticing bait action.

From: Larry: 10/15/21

Comments: not impressed with this bait, it has little vibration and little lure depth.

From: Mike: Irmo, SC 10/11/21

Comments: Very good for bass in shallow water and adds noise with loose blade.

From: George: Guntersville, AL 10/8/21

Comments: good action but does terrible around grass id rather use a 1.5 any day over this thing

From: Unknown: 10/6/21

Comments: Love the looks of the bait, plus the ability to combine a square bill and vibrating jig GENIUS! Well, so I thought until I actually cast it. The bill on mine did not move and 2 out of 3 casts the hooks fouled with the bill. Maybe I just got a bad one, but for$10+ there shouldn't be bad ones IMO. Don't waste your money learn from my wallet and pass.

From: Ross: Van Buren, MI 10/4/21

Comments: Work of art ! Built like a 4x4 truck and can be fished anyplace. Must have for any shallow crankbait situation.

From: Franko: Hudson,Fl 9/26/21

Comments: I love the action of the jabber jaw, but one of the hooks broke when the lure got stuck in some light dying grass...I have 3 total but now I have to change out the rear treble on one of them, haven't fished the other 2 yet but really hopping that the first one I've been using was just a one off, I see other comments on here talking about how good the hardware is, nothing more frustrating then having to change out the hooks on a brand new lure.

From: Quentin: Cincinnati, OH 9/19/21

Comments: I actually haven't thrown the jabber jaw yet, but looking at the lures construction and detail it gets an A+ from my perspective!

From: Brad: Washington 8/20/21

Comments: Great crank bait..colors are awesome hooks are extra sharp and they catch fish!

From: Randall: Unknown 8/12/21

Comments: Amazing! I have had great luck on these this year. Awesome paint jobs great action hooks are supper sticky out of the box but don't hold there points long and do need replacing after your first trip. But definitely 5 out 5 for me and will be ordering some more.

From: Wes: Ohio 7/29/21

Comments: The Jabber Jaw is a great crank bait, I throw it in thick cover and it rarely gets hung. Great action and catches fish.

From: Unknown: 7/16/21

Comments: This bait is amazing it swims well and feels great when reeling it in and comes with very sharp hooks ready to use out of the box

From: Unknown 7/5/21

Comments: This bait is awesome love the day-old guac for early spring craw pattern. This bait also comes with awesome hooks ready to use straight out of the package. Tournament ready!!!

From: Unkown: Page, AZ 6/27/21

Comments: The Jabber Jaw is the real deal! Out fished my buddy who was throwing a SK squarebill in a same color scheme as my jabber jaw. Dont hesitate and get your hands on some Jabbers!

From: Matt: Joplin, MO 6/27/21

Comments: I ordered the dream gill and the tweetie pie. I never received the tweetie pie. I'll be satisfied when I receive my complete order.

From: Andrew: Lagrange, GA 6/21/21

Comments: A deadly squarebill for early and late spring a must need in your tackle arsenal.
From: Max: Indiana 6/15/21

Comments: Threw everything in my tackle box on the last day at the lake. This was the only bait that caught anything.

From: Adam: Massillon, OH  6/8/21

Comments: Great Crankbait.Runs true out of package.Great Hooks.Does not get hung up in heavy cover

From: Jeff: Johnson City, TN 5/23/21

Comments: Excellent crankbait,we'll weighted cast easy.deflects of cover well, and catches fish.only drawback could be some more color selections

From: BJ: 5/17/21

Comments: I never write reviews but this bait deserves one. this is a great bait it has very good hooks the fish bits and they are pegged the bait has great vibration and feel. I know they are a
little on the pricey side but money well spent!

From: Jerry: Ohio 5/10/21

Comments: Flat out catches bass. Combimation of a chatterbait and a squarebill. Great action.

From: Otis: Missouri City, TX 5/2/21

Comments: Have not got to use yet but lures have a great finish and feel like quality built.

From: Unknown: 4/30/21

Comments: I put these through the ringer. I mean really through the ringer. They are excellent. Remember when you were a kid fishing in your dad's or your grandad's aluminum john boat and the sound you heard when you fished a ratLtrap?  These are louder. If you can hear it imagine what the bass hear.

From: Chris: Texas 4/16/21

Comments: Let's me start by talking about just how good the Jabber Jaw looks from the paint, to the holographic eyes, down to the VMC treble hooks, it is one amazing looking bait. Just to think it combines two of the most used baits in bass fishing into one lure. The Squarebill and bladed jig have always been some of my go to baits. The Jabber Jaw combines both of these baits with the metal bill that goes back and forth banging off the baits metal cheeks. The hunting action is like none that I have ever seen. The Jabber Jaw will deflect off of cover and keeps on moving. I like to change up my retrieve until I figure out how the fish want to eat it on that particular day. I've added the Jabber Jaw to my arsenal and it's going to stay in my gear year round.

From: Unknown: 4/14/21

Comments: These baits are awesome. I love these. You can go wrong in shallow water.

From: Quickhitter Fishing: Texas 4/7/21

Comments: Picked up a handful and my oh my do we have a winner here. I mean at the baseline, its a chatterbait paired with a squarebill - two main stays so obviously its pretty slick. Paint schemes are true, nice finish and the bill took a beating on rubble banks the past few weeks and held up perfectly. Love that I can get them to run to 6' on a long cast with light fluoro too - deeper than I expected.

From: Ryan 4/5/21

Comments: I bought two of these and one of them sinks? Straight out of the package.

From: Unknown: 3/25/21

Comments: Great lure and a lot more weedless than regular style cranks

From: Unknown: 3/17/21

Comments: This lure is by far, one of the best and most versatile lures on the market. If you like throwing chatterbaits and square bills, this is the lure for you. I love throwing it through submerged vegetation and it produces when other lures won't. The Jabber Jaw flat out catches fish. If you don't have a couple of these you're missing out.

From: Mike: Winter Haven, FL 2/23/21

Comments: As you'd expect from 13 Fishing the Jabber Jaw is superbly finished and works a treat. Have had Australian Bass crawling all over it. Glad to see 13 fishing jumping on board for our ABT Bass tournaments in Australia.

From: Robert: Coffs Harbour, NSW, Australia 2/17/21

Comments: Great looking crankbait. Unique action, and design. Recommend to all.

From:
Unknown: 2/11/21

Comments:
Sharp hooks and a good looking bait. Casts easy on 12lb flouro. I have caught fish with it. Maybe it's just a gimmick but even so it's a quality bait. I'd buy again.

From: Joe: South Florida 1/28/21

Comments:I am a tournament fisherman and almost always use balsa wood baits when it comes to cranks. But since I also like throwing a chatterbait I decided to try this out. People really get into different colors with baits but most of the time they catch more fisherman then they do fish, so all the crazy shad patterns are really a big turn off most of the time for me with newer baits made of plastic. But this bait has a great action and is much more durable than balsa baits. So for the price I would recommend this bait for hard structure and covering water.

From: Unknown: 1/3/21

Comments:Excellent choice of colors. Casts very well and has a unique hunting action. I recommend that you give them a try.

From: Bill: Troy, NC 1/3/21

Comments:I can't stop buying these - just an outstanding bait - should be best square bill of 2020.. these baits are just money.. would love to see a regurgitated shad color. Fingers crossed the tech (jaw acoustics) gets put into other baits. Only winter & Im having great success.. can only imagine when the water warms.. don't hesitate & just buy yourself 3 or 4.. their legit!

From: Dean: Lake Mead, NV 12/30/20

Comments:Great hunting action. Very castable. Good color selection.

From: Randy: Kingston, TN 12/29/20

Comments:I was skeptical at first, but I figure if young hammer Jacob Wheeler says it works.. Why not? So far I've been impressed with it. Tied to 15lb Hi Seas co-polymer I could definitely feel the "chatter" action of the metal bill, but what I really noticed was the amount of feel that it transmitted from bottom and structure contact. As they say.. "steel is real", and I'll have to agree. This thing really works. How long will the bill stay attached? Who knows, but I'll keep on throwing it to find out.

From: JB: Decatur, TX 12/28/20

Comments:Haven't used these yet, but have a shad and a crawfish pattern. The detail on these crank baits is awesome. If the fish don't bite, they will at least look good sitting in my storage boxes!

From: Unknown: 12/24/20

Comments:I understand 13 fishing hired a new lure designer fresh out of college - the kid is on fire! I'm very impressed with the quality of tackle lately 13 has put out - these baits here are no exception- very well built - paint job is upper class - the recessed eyes are a nice touch - great hooks .. hats off to their new hire.

From: Dean: Las Vegas, NV 12/19/20

Comments: Very well built and with good hooks. Great action in the water and they sound incredible.

From: Hunter Robinson: Canton, NC 12/7/20

Comments: This bait slays. It's well built, paint/colors are realistic and durable, and it has incredible action. Works best with a quick start and long pause retrieve.

From: Unknown - Austin, TX 12/5/20

Comments: First observations is they are very well built. Runs true in the water. I haven't used it much yet but I will be soon.

From: Jeff: Killeen, Texas 12/4/20

Comments: What a cool crankbait! Really noisy and has an erratic action due to the lip. The colors available made it appealing to me as well and I bought several of them!

From: Rudy: Bossier City, LA 12/4/20

Comments: Fast shipping even with all that is going on at this time. Baits have good action and the paint and finish is above average!

From:
Unknown 12/3/20

Comments:
It runs about 4 feet or so and fairly straight and has an erratic action.

From: Ed: Harker Heights, TX 11/30/20

Comments:First of all, it doesn't chatter like a chatterbait in my opinion. It has the same action as most other squarebills but it does catch fish. I'm not disappointed with my purchase.

From: Robert: Pickwick, MI 11/18/20

Comments:This bait SMASHES! Best new bait I've bought this year. Very loud, and unlike other moving billed crankbaits it doesn't get hung up. 10/10.

From: Ryan: Florida 10/20/20

Comments:I don't ever write reviews but here it goes I love throwing a chatterbait and a sq bill caught a lot of fish on both won a lot of money on sq bills but these haven't caught anything! went down a bank throwing this never got a bite turned around came back with a regular sq bill caught 3 keepers!
