Different approach of chatter fishingall reviews I've read consist of "blowing out" and "rising high". as a midwestern guy chatterbait is on deck from ice out to ice in. This style of chatterbait in my opinion was meant to be slow rolled because of the hard thumps from the blade, i fished this bait on a 7' medium with a 7:2:1 slx dc spooled with 14lb fc sniper and i was able to slow down my retrieve to get on a bite that my buddies who were throwing other branded chatters could not get on. Slow rolling this chatterbait in 7-9 feet of water with 3-4 feet of standing weeds was key for this chatterbait. at the end of the day i feel like this chatterbait shines when youre not trying to fish through weeds but on top of them and slow rolling.
Thump!Get the 1/2oz, Reel slow, and be prepared to yo yo because it does ride high. But boy does it catch fish. Especially in low light and night time situations. Never had a night like I just did with any lure. Even with a glass rod I could feel every thump and clank from this thing. Awesome bait that I’ll be getting more of.

Updated review !Sorry. I realized I had the wrong gear ratio reel on while testing. This bait hunts more than a jackhammer and is loud. Go when they need to see something different
Great action BUTPurchased the full lot after watchin a video on YouTube. I tied a 3/8 on today to test and this bait rides super high in the water column.. ai counted it down to the bottom up as soon as I reel (6.3:1). It lifts straight to the surface. I hope it’s just a quality control or this specific one. Maybe try the 1/2 next. GREAT ACTION, but lot of lift!
