Overview

Big baits catch big fish plain and simple. The 6th Sense MagDog Topwater Walking Bait is an oversized topwater that calls to the biggest and most aggressive fish in the lake. Designed for one purpose to chunk and walk, the 6th Sense MagDog Topwater Walking Bait’s large profile results in maximum casting distance and a highly visible target for fish to hone in on. Its internal rattle system also keeps the bait perfectly balanced for an effortless walk-the-dog action and to create loud acoustics that calls fish from a far distance.

Perfect for targeting schooling fish in open water or working high percentage targets in shallow water, the 6th Sense MagDog Topwater Walking Bait is most effective when used with a fast retrieve to trigger aggressive reaction strikes. But it is also highly effective with a slow methodical retrieve for those times when the fish are pressured and not in an aggressive feeding mood. Finished with two super sharp and extremely strong EWG treble hooks that provide the hook penetration and power needed to land big fish, the 6th Sense MagDog Topwater Walking Bait is available in a selection of highly detailed colors that match the forage on any body of water.

Previous Feedback

Comments: First, I want to say I've been using 6th sense lures far before they became popular or mainstream. I was given 4-5 provokes that a relative gave me to tryout and give feedback on. I finally tied on a provoke after losing several LC Pointers on a laid down I was targeting. Once the provoke hit the water I started not only catching more on it but the size also increased. Needless to say 6th sense had grabbed my attention. I filled my cart with all of 6th sense lures carried by TW at the time. I loved every single lure I bought. From paint to action to results all top notch. I heavily endorsed there brand and still do. Now to the negative review that saddens me to write it. The MagDog is good looking and great sizes, however if u can't have a consistent walk the dog action the lure is worthless imo. A couple twitches and it nose dives terribly. I've tried different length rods with different powers n actions. All gave me same result. Tried straight braid n a stiffer suffix 832 braid to a limp daiwa j-braid. Same result. Tried mono liters in different lb test and also straight mono, all same result. To me this lure is a flop. I tried in various conditions from dead flat water to windy condition all same result.  Haven't tried the 130 size to see if it has a traditional walk the dog action. There Dogma 110 is one of my favorite Topwater lures to use and I use it often. 6th sense failed all of us who endorse there products on this one. Imo the wide flat belly design is the cause for the problem. It needs to taper down from the sides at a steeper deduction width of size gradually into the center of the belly with half the flat width of the current belly design. I'm still dedicated to using there lures and still highly recommend and endorse there line up, but this is the 1st and hopefully last lure I will NOT endorse of there lineup.

Comments: Update; changed out the stock hooks to #2 Owner ST 36s and the bait works very well now. It's caught me several nice fish and has a really loud knock with each twitch.

Comments: I have both, these baits are Great for covering water and quickly becoming my go to for this style of lure. They are heavily tail weighted, so for those expecting it to walk all perfectly symmetrical like a spook- this bait (and many others) ain't it. It DOES walk erratically, spitting water, rolling under the surface, and carry on like dying or vulnerable prey does. It's obvious they cast well, but I must say- I throw a lot of 1 oz plus walking baits and these simply cast better than any I've tried, even a bigger sammy. 10 fish in, the finishes are holding up GREAT. The EWGs do a great job keeping a very "throwable" bait pinned also. This is one to get.

Comments: I am a big 6th sense fan, but this bait was a bust for me, does not walk well at all. very front heavy

Comments: Just a heads for those who are purchasing this topwater as a walking bait, yes this bait walks very good but it is not a beginner bait, it does not walk with an easy tap. It takes a certain amount of skill to make it walk flawlessly to produce a bite. Keep practicing and working with it and it may be used in your arsenal in the future.

Comments: I got a 130 size and it walks TERRIBLE. It takes 6-8 twitches with the bait nose diving each time to get it finally walking like it should be. Not a fan of the hooks that came with it. Switched to some round bend Owners that are a little lighter in hopes that will fix the issue. The bait looks excellent, going to be so disappointed if it turns out to be a dud.
