Built from a blank using 24-Ton graphite construction, the 2-piece Max X rod features a comfortable polymer grip with ergonomic custom-integrated reel seat and durable stainless steel guides, enabling smooth casting with braid, fluorocarbon, or monofilament.
Constructed to be dependable and easy to palm, the Abu Garcia Max X casting reel is built around a machined aluminum spool, DuraGear brass gearing, and 4+1 ball bearings housed inside of a lightweight, rugged graphite frame and side plates. Whether throwing a soft-plastic jerkbait or a football jig, the MagTrax braking system with its external dial helps enable trouble-free casts, while the Power Disk drag can produce up to a whopping 15 pounds of stopping force to corral trophy fish.
