One of my favorite rodsI'm on the younger side of fishing, and always open to learning new things. Buying rods is definitely something I struggled with even more than catching fish in the first place. I have a strong hookset and have broken a few rods, so I always look for rods with a strong backbone, along with a blank that's true to it's size. Let me tell you, this rod is the whole package. So far, the lancer pro has lasted me 2 years and several 100 fish days fishing for smallies. I use the 6 '10 med lite extra fast action rod for all my finesse applications, and it's the most sensitive rod I have; although I don't own any rods over $200, so I don't have a great feel for premium sensitivity. Regardless, I'm sure it's great since it's able to pick up the slightest tick of a fish as I drift a ned rig through current seams in the winter. The rod is simplistic, sleek, and pairs well with my Shimano NASCI reel. It seems to be lighter than all the other similar priced spinning rods I own, and has pretty durable, scratch-resistant guides (i've scraped the guides along my walls, ceiling, and against trees many times). The grip is relatively comfortable for me personally, but i've heard otherwise for people with bigger hands. Overall, this rod has caught me thousands of fish, gone through unimaginable abuse, and still feels like new. 100% recommend.

Great Drop Shot RodHave the 6'10" MLFA rod, use it for drop shot fishing. Really like it, light weight, sensitive, affordable and the delivery was spot on (as usual). Not sure if I have big hands but the handle seems about 1" - 1-1/2" too short, not a game changer.

Great RodI have an older Lancer Pro and I love how it fished but hated the handle. This new version fixes that for me. I hold the reel between my ring and pinky fingers and the Lancer Tour gives me enough handle to do that. And I can still keep my index finger on the blank. I have the 7’-1” medium and use it as a finesse rod. I would absolutely recommend this rod. Very sensitive and plenty of backbone for larger fish.
