Overview

To catch the fish of a lifetime you have to fish with the lure of a lifetime. The Baitsanity Explorer Gen 2 Glide Bait is just that. It boasts substantial size, high quality detail, and a realistic action that will have big bass drooling to get a bite. Featuring an incredibly true-to-life profile along with a single joint construction, which allows the Explorer Gen 2 Glide Bait to swim side-to-side with a seductive “S” action that trophy-sized bass can’t resist, the gliding action of the Explorer Gen 2 Glide Bait also provides extreme versatility. It can be fished 365 days a year, and at any retrieve speed to match the conditions.

The Explorer Gen 2 Glide Bait is crafted with an ABS resin body for increased durability and features soft PVC plastic tail and side fins that enhance its lifelike action. It also features sticky sharp treble hooks and extra strong split rings that don’t need to be replaced and are ready to tangle with giant bass right out of the package. Available with a highly detailed airbrushed paint job, the Baitsanity Explorer Gen 2 Glide Bait would be a fine addition to any swimbait enthusiast’s tackle box.

One of the best for the moneySwims great out of the box. Doesn't chip or damage easily like real resin. Things that generally wear out are easily replaced. Super customizable. You will be hard pressed to find a better bait on the market. This thing really does get bit!

Comments: This thing gets bit! super smooth wide glide. Looks great in the water. Smallmouth, Largemouth, Spots all eat it for me when the conditions are right.

Comments: Really liked this bait. I had heard great things about it. 5 casts into EVER using it I hung it up bank fishing and had to go in and glad it did. Ended up going to a different lake a few hours later, on about my 10th cast ever with this bait I stuck a 9.5 LMB. Strangely, I did end up getting it snagged again on the bottom, got it to shake free and now every time after that snag it has not swam properly. I don't know if the bait got punctured or something and filled with water a bit. ( I was fishing 17 pound abrazx ) The snag was not HORRENDOUS or anything sharp to my knowledge. It doesn't swim without over working the rod pretty sharply now and it rolls and sinks much quicker. I know something happened on that cast because it swam AMAZING prior to that. Nice wide glides and all decently slow ROF which I need for my park lakes. I will happily pay $80 for a 9.5 again, but I can't afford that. The bait might have a durability issue.

Comments: Dude this bait is killer. I've fished OG deps 250s, Hinkle trout, Roman mades. Took a few years off after selling all my stuff, and got this guy to see if I wanted to get back into big baiting. The glide beats the new 250s by far. Doesn't nose up, doesn't roll. A 5 year old could straight reel this in and catch fish. I took it out for the first time yesterday in (very) clear water. 20+ fish followed it back to the yak but saw me standing up, and I stuck a 4 pounder right at the end of the day. I got some 4" glides out of it, fast and slow, and easy to 180° it.

Comments: The Steelhead pattern is money, it looks very realistic underwater. I've had other Baitsanitys they all work great. Also great customer service! I asked for some swim videos they were quick to reply.

Comments: I've used this glide bait for over a year now and it is definitely one of my favorites. I've gotten tons of follows on it and caught fish up to almost 5lbs on it. I have it in the carp color and during the spawn, bass got super aggressive when I reel it quickly toward beds and then gave it jerks when it got close. That got it bit multiple times. Bass did not tolerate a carp near their beds. The hardware seemed as stout as advertised. I did not feel the need to replace any and still, the hooks are super sharp. I threw this bait on a Tranx 300AHG with a Savage Gear Browser XH swimbait rod and would crank fish in (I also cranked in a very large branch that I snagged on). The split rings show no signs of an issue. The action is great. This bait is responsive and doesn't blow out easily. I worked it like a giant jerkbait without issues (that's how I caught my biggest on this bait). One con is the paint will chip. For me, this wasn't a big deal as I just used a gold sharpie to fill in the areas. I plan on buying the Shad color as well and already have a silver sharpie lined up for it. This bait is worth the money!

Comments: These are great glides, I have 4 of them one of them, caught fish on them when the time is right for the glide. I would say Carp and Kokanee are my fav because they resemble majority fish in lakes.  In the past one of them had water issue after a few days and it wouldn't glide at all, I contacted the company and we came up with a solution after communicating, they took care of me with care on the replacement, this matters to me investing in a swimbait A+.  For that reason i highly recommend these glides and the fact these are great in performance.  Also my fav retrieve is the slow lazy retrieve, yes this glide can work very slow. I haven't got into the paddle tail hype yet, need to check it out soon.

Comments: Bang for Buck 10/10, just an awesome bait for the price. Very nice wide glide and easy to dial into. This bait is a must if you target fish in shallow water

From: Darrell: Cessnock, Australia 2/5/20

Comments: Great swimbait for a great price. The tail is soft which is a plus.

From: Unknown: 1/22/20

Comments: This is a good glide to throw into current water, I dont know what it is about these baits but they glide effortlessly. These glides work, I caught my biggest striper on this Trout pattern. As for the hardware, the stock hooks are holding up fine, but probably will change them just in case. But on the 5th fish in or so the soft fins got slightly loose, so I glued them back in, not that the fins matter IMO as I seen youtubers catching them with no fin. Also a huge plus is the price!

Comments: Cant ask more for the money. I believe the reason I get bit more on the 9-inch than my others is because the wide glide "drawing power" it offers, which really make bass chase this bait, even if they are not hungry. Largemouth have been over 4 pounds in my local lakes, and biggest is an 8 with the 9-inch. I would change the hardware to Owner hooks to be safe, although the original ones that come with the bait are great, that is just me I do that with all my baits. Tight lines
