Overview
Fish your wacky rig in deeper water and through heavier cover with the Berkley Fusion19 Weighted Wacky. Featuring a unique bend, the Berkley Fusion19 Weighted Wacky is ideal for wacky rigging soft stick baits with or without an O-ring. Its weighted construction also increases the sink rate and action of your bait, which is more effective when targeting fish in slightly deeper water. Its double stainless steel weedguard prevents snagging and gives anglers the ability to fish through thick vegetation where the bigger fish usually tend to hide. Finished with a razor-sharp hook point that penetrates with even the slightest pressure from the rod, the Berkley Fusion19 Weighted Wacky will become a mainstay in your finesse tackle box.
Designed for everyone, from the novice to the professional angler, the Berkley Fusion19 Hooks have been designed to perform at all levels. Featured with a needle point SlickSet Coating for easier penetration, the Berkley Fusion19 Hooks provide sure hook sets over-and-over. Covered with a smoke satin finish, each Berkley Fusion Hook comes in an innovative resealable clam packaging that makes for easy management.

Comments: Although the hook and weedguard are excellent on these, the 1/8oz head did not work for me. I use the double O-ring method where you cross them and then run the hook under the X. On many retrieves the worm would twist around with hook point facing down. Maybe it is the larger hook or the more pointed head on these, but I did not have that problem with the Owner 1/8oz head. Hook is fine on the Owner, but the weedguard is useless.

Comments: I have been using Gamakatsu G-finesse wacky jigs for a couple of years but found them a little pricey at 3 for 8 bucks. I don't think they are as durable as they used to be as the titanium weed guards break or fall out more often, now. So, I tried the Berkley heads at the end of last season. I found them to be plenty durable and equally weed/snag free as the Gamakatsu hooks for a substantial savings. I've used them with VMC crossover rings as well as just a bare wacky rig on baits as large as 6 inch Dingers with no hookup issues at all. I do bend the gap open a little for a bigger bite, but I do that with the other brands as well. Found these wacky jigs to be very helpful in the wind and in getting a little faster drop in the summer and when the fish are active.

Comments: I've been using this wacky hook the last several trips out. I mostly use it with stickbait style worms. I use the double O-ring method where you cross them and then run the hook under the X. So far I've not had any issues with snags, or bending open the weighted head. I've had up to a 6lb fish on these and not bent them open. The weed guards help a little with brush but are still relatively light and bend out of the way pretty easy for a fish. I don't think I lost any fish due to blocked hook. The only other wacky weighted head I've tried is the VMC round ball style. I found the Berkley to be slightly stronger wire and the weed guard is superior when compared to VMC. Both catch fish no problem though.

Comments: My go-to wacky rig hook. Both the weighted and un-weighted are great hooks, sharp and strong. My pb of 6.56lbs was caught on their 1/8th weighted wacky head, the bass was skin hooked at the roof of it's mouth, and this hook did not fail me!
