Overview
Built for one thing and one thing only, to entice heart-stopping topwater strikes. The Berkley Powerbait Buzz’n Speed Toad is built with serrated feet that buzz and cut the water’s surface, creating a strike provoking topwater disturbance and sound. It is also made from a sturdy material for better durability so anglers can fish way back into heavy cover and catch multiple fish per bait.
On the top side, the Berkley Buzz’n Speed Toad is fitted with unique perpendicular hook point keepers, which give anglers the option to utilize their favorite single hook or double frog hook while maintaining a perfectly weedless presentation. On the bottom, a belly slot has an extended leading edge that keeps the bait from sliding up the shank for even more reliable hook ups as well. Infused with a heavy dose of exclusive PowerBait scent formula that makes fish hold on up to 18-times longer, giving you more time to set the hook, the Berkley Buzz’n Speed Toad is the perfect toad for triggering aggressive topwater strikes.

Comments: Really Like the Buzzn Speed Toads. They work great on buzz baits and just on a single hook for a buzzin frog.

Comments: Bought 2 packs; one in black and one in white/chartreuse. Used the black ones on my buzzbait and recently threw the wh/chart., on a twistlock Owner 4/0 Beast hook over pond and algae scum. They throw well and stiff enough to stay weedless when retrieved back through over hanging brush and trees. Mild kicking action and need to be retrieved a little faster to keep near the surface; glide on the fall. Can't comment on fish attraction since only recently took them out to water bodies for testing. They look good to me but do they look good to the fish is the real question.

Comments: Speed toad is right, I could only get good action when burned fast. I will stick with zoom where you can run fast or slow.

Comments: Cast n reel clear - stained water, calm conditions, better in pads or submerged grass. This bait will find um and catch um. Not for a jungle !

Comments: Over the salad or in the open with just a 4/0 hook or as a trailer on a buzzbait this bait is a staple in my toolbox. It flat out catches fish. If you haven't tried this bait I highly recommend you buy a pack and see for yourself. If this bait doesn't work then you only bought a pack but I'm sure you will be back to purchase more.

Comments: Awesome bait and just like the rest of the powerbait brands, the fish won't let it go. Great subtle action for a topwater toad

Comments: Good bait to use for a follow up after a missed topwater strike . The subtle action seems to invoke bass to eat after a miss. Great color choices also !!

Comments: Great color selection and great action! I need to order some more!

Comments: Works extremely well as a buzz bait trailer!

Comments: Plastic consistency is good. The colors are good. The weight of the bait is adequate to cast and skip around cover. As for action, when compared to other lures in this class the Berkley Toad is the most subtle.

Comments: Picked up some of these to use as a trailer on a buzzbait. Lakes here currently have 6" of ice and 8" of snow on top of them so can't test right now. Initial impression is this is a well constructed bait: hook slot is nice, good details, and feet should kick a lot. Come on Summer!

Comments: These frogs do not buzz or work as good as the zoom horney toads. I have to cut the legs a bit more to make them work a little better. I will stick to the horny toads.

Comments: Nice subtle buzzing frog, pairs well with the fusion frog hook. A little pricy for only 5 in a pack. Cant comment on durability yet.

Comments: I order from Tackle Warehouse from Australia to use the Berkley buzz and speed toads on Australia fish like the barramundi and m mangrove snapper, I believe our fish in the saltwater don't take these lures as a frog or toad they actually take them as a crab and I weight them with 1/2oz weight forward weedless hooks so that they sink nose first. If I were in the states I would use them on redfish as they are one of the best lures I've used in Australia on our fish period.
