Overview
Compact and convenient, the Big Bite Bait Pocket Whopper is a 4oz lure retriever that is made to stash in a small compartment or pocket. To use the Big Bite Bait Pocket Whopper, simply position the boat over the snag, attach the Big Bite Bait Pocket Whopper to the line, and let it fall down to the lure.
In most cases, the Big Bite Bait Pocket Whopper will knock the lure free upon contact, but sometimes a couple bounces may be required. Much cheaper than a new lure, the Big Bite Bait Pocket Whopper is a must-have accessory for all anglers.

You need THIS!This lure retriever has saved me countless dollars and paid for it self so many times over. Its pretty much guaranteed to get your bait back if its a single hook lure like a Shakey head, jig, or swimbait and I would say 90% on treble hook baits, assuming your not caught in like rope or fishing line. Well worth the money, I stay stocked up on them!
Update on "Good so far" reviewThis retriever saved me about $100 of lures, mostly jigs. I've used it about 20 times so far, and it was successful on the first 19 uses. Today, it didn't work, and I lost it, but this was a snag in about 30 feet of water. In shallower water, it is much more effective. But after spending $5 to save $100, there's absolutely no logical argument I can make against buying it. This won't be successful every time, but it boasted a 95% success rate on a relatively large sample size. This rate is comparable with other reviews written on other retrievers of similar weights. There were times that it almost didn't work, but you just have to keep jigging it up and down until it eventually does free the lure. If it was a little heavier, it might be more effective with larger baits, but it was 100% worth the money. Consider buying 2 of them, b/c they are so cheap, as a backup option or as a gift to a friend. I'll be buying more.
Good so farThis has already saved me 2 jigs and a Berkley cull shad ($20+ in value) so I figured I'd write a review on it. It's worked great so far, paid for itself, if you're throwing heavier swimbaits I recommend choosing a heavier lure retriever, but for jigs and t-rigs this works pretty good. Make sure it falls on slack line and you know how to use it before you drop it down. This may or may not be the best retriever out there but for $5 you cannot beat it. Buy one.

Comments: MUST HAVE! I took a chance on one of these things about a year ago and saved myself hundreds of dollars in snags. Essential for crank baits, jigs, and Texas rigs. Will it be 100% effective every snag? No, but it beats having no chance at all. Will absolutely buy more if I lose mine (to friends and coanglers when they see how useful they are)!
