Overview
Perfect for fishing in and around vegetated areas when the bite gets tough, the Big Bite Baits Short EWG Head allows anglers to rig finesse soft plastics completely weedless. It is built around a 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG hook so that you can tex-pose the hook point in your soft plastic and fish through cover very efficiently without getting snagged. The Big Bite Baits Short EWG Head also features a rounded head with a flat back, which allows it to traverse over all types of terrain and provide a seamless transition between the head and your soft plastic for a more natural profile. Ideal for those times when you need to downsize your presentation and fish slowly to produce bites, the Big Bite Baits Short EWG Head gives anglers the benefits of a shaky head, Ned-rig, and Texas-rig but in a compact and totally weedless package. Offered in multiple sizes, the Big Bite Baits Short EWG Head is perfect for any small worms, craws, swimbaits, or creature baits.

Comments: I use the 1/16th ounce size and rig it up with a 5-unch Yum Dinger a lot (Texas style not wacky). I like the slow fall and the erratic action when I twitch it. Yes, the neck could be a tiny bit longer but it still works. The hook is a 3/0 EWG so your soft plastic craw baits such as a Sweet Beaver are a good match as well. I use spinning tackle and boring old Trilene XL for these rigs. No problems.

Comments: I love these hooks. I use them alot. It's my go to Hook every time I'm on the water. I just put a worm, lizard, or grub on it and have caught way more fish. I will continue to buy these

Comments: Not sure if I would call this a Ned Head being that the hook is pretty long. Would say it's more of a happy medium between a Ned and a Shaky Head. With that being said, I'm a big fan of these hooks. Can do pretty much anything with them from a 4" stick bait to a 8" worm. The gauge of the wire on them isn't too big that you can't throw it on spinning tackle, but isn't too small that you'll be worried about bending them out on casting gear. These will always be in my box!

Comments: Wish the offset was longer. You can only put a very small amount of your plastic bait on the hook because the offset is so small. Should be 1/2".

Comments: While this hook is not suited for a ned-sized craw, creature, swimbait or stickbait (2.75-3") or is it meant for your ultra-light spinning rig, it's a must have in every tackle bag; it's very versatile. Where I think this jig shines is when you step up to a 4"+ plastic, paired up with the Big TRD, Hula Stick, 4" Diezel Minnowz, Rage Craw or a Finesse Worm. This is the perfect jig for the angler who wants to simplify their approach and limit their gearing heading to the bank/pond or tucked away in your trunk. Checks all the boxes, nice paint, good variety of weights, gamakatsu hook. Only downside is that they don't make it in a 1/0 with a lighter gauge hook for those finesse presentations.

Comments: Hooks are too big for ned-rigging in my opinion.
