Comments: These Big Hammer swimbaits are perfect when fish are being finicky or they're only eating small bait fish. I use a small 1/8 eagle claw hook it gets the job done for me. You can also use any of your favorite attractant for a little boost. I've caught solid spotted bay bass, sand bass, calicos, and even some good size halibut (not legal) but close and fun! I fish it with a medium action rod with either 6# or 8# mono/fluoro. I always have a pack with me, the bay shad and red calico color works best for me.

Comments: Big Hammer nailed it with this smaller swimbait. I've been using the smelt & baitfish colors for crappie here in north Virginia. The crappie are choking it, and there's a big difference in "choking" it verses other tried and true crappie lures like curly tails, etc. This swimbait ends up in the back of the fish's throat every time. It holds up excellent to wear & tear. The bait will slide down the jighead shank when it gets hit or when a fish is on, but the plastic on the body just does not get torn at all like other plastics. I caught 40 crappie today on one bait. It has excellent action, with a good wobble from the tail. I bought two packets to start out, but I'm buying more after a couple trips.
