Bubba Scale LiteI see a lot of complaints that you have to pay for the app for tournament and rally modes. A simple reading of the description would’ve saved you guys the headache. I personally use this as an accurate way to weigh my fish knowing I’m using a great scale. This smaller lite version works great for someone like me that mostly bank fishes and occasionally boat or kayak. For the price and size difference this works great for that purpose. If I need to use the other features I could pay the 5 bucks a month or 50 bucks a year to do that. I mean we spend more than that for fishing lol. If you are predominantly wanting it for tournaments pay the extra and buy the 200 dollar one. Overall I’m pleased and buying this when Tackle Warehouse had a sale was a bonus!! Tight lines my friends

Bubba Lite: UpdateReceived replacement scale and had the same issues. Froze up at 3 oz. and would not tare or weigh. App showed the scale connected, but but no communication. Operator error? Not sure, but I think I'll try something else. Disappointed. Really wanted to like this scale.

DecentI had the zeroing issue others had after opening the package and couldn't get it to tare. After reading the instructions to verify there wasn't anything weird I needed to do, it worked. Not sure what I did different the second time. Also, it claims compatibility with rechargeable 18650 Li-ion batteries. I have a pair of Surefires but they are slightly too long to fit in the battery compartment (about 69mm). I'd look for a battery in the 65-66mm range, so buyer beware. After all this, I started playing with it by weighing a couple things around the house. It did work as expected at this point and the weights were stored in the logbook within the app. The other three modes are not available unless you pay for the subscription but I knew that getting into it. Will update more as I put it to real use this upcoming season.

Bubba LiteI had the same issue with the scale not zeroing out. Apparently it is not compatible with the free version of the app. Could not clear the weight on the scale or the app and then the scale just locked up. Returned for a replacement but I'm not optimistic based on the other reviews.

Subscription required and awkward buttonsPurchased it days ago. Took it out today. Was very excited to try it out but the buttons didn't work right, scale would not zero out, and I discovered that you need to pay a fee to log/lock in more than one weight. Wild! That did it for me. Back in the box and returned.

Requires a $50/yr subscriptionI was initially very excited about the smaller size model and was hopeful that I could at least save weights for tournament bass fishing on it, but in order to make any of the features work, it requires a $50/yr app subscription. Without the subscription, it acts as a simple single weight scale with no way to store weights or adjust modes. No thanks Bubba.....

Needs To Be One PieceThe Bubba Scales Are Great, but the should be one solid piece, meaning the gripper should be part of the scale not just a secondary lip holder. I feel like this idea is solid but you’d be able to weigh fish faster if the scale had the gripper built into it!!
