Comments: Same review as the last two posters. I weighed my shoe as a test and it comes up with a different weight every time. Sometimes more than .25lb different. Add that up over 5 fish limit. I'll just use my Rapala scale for now or check out the new Bubba Scale

From: Mike Frazer: Madison, WI 7/26/23

Comments: Not happy with the weight lock Weights are different every re-weigh.

Comments: Bought one and it's a pile of crap. Just buy the Rapala and save yourself some money and get a better scale at the same time. TW will not take returns on this after a week.

Comments: So I've used this as a tournament angler for 3 years now. It's a solid scale. The weights it returns are a little off. The fish is generally an ounce or 2 heavier. I never minded it because I knew if the scale said I had 12 lbs in 5 fish, I really had about 12.5 lbs. The biggest thing regarding the scale is it's consistent. If you weigh the same fish 3 times in a row it will weigh the same 3 times in a row which is really all you can ask for in a scale. My main complaint is the lack of buttons. You'll need to read the manual that comes with the device to understand how to long press certain buttons to do different things. I think I am going to give the Rapala Touchscreen tournament scale a try as I would greatly appreciate the ease of use with a touchscreen interface better than dealing with the button layout on the catch commander. I'd give this scale 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Comments: Very disappointed. I've had these scales for about a year and they are as much as a 1/2 a pound off.

From: Unknown: 7/5/22

Comments: From the positive reviews, I must have got a bad one... I can weigh the same fish several times, taring between each, and get a different weight every time, as much as 10 oz! It would be a great scale if not for that.

Comments: I really want to love this scale. It's reliable, great culling features, etc. But it just won't zero out before you grab a fish. And my weights are consistently 8% off from our Club scale because of this. It jumps from -0.4 to +0.4 and all over before you clip a fish. Even if I hang it vertical. So I just can't trust it. Customer service is fantastic. Called to complain and they immediately sent me a new one. But it does the same thing. I need a scale that says 0.00 or close to it, every time, until I hang a fish on it.

Comments: So disappointed, bought this one after my rapala digital screen scale went out. Well after a few uses this one's screen lights up only half way so you can't tell if a number is supposed to be a 3,8,9. Replaced the batteries, hoping that would fix the problem but it didn't. Going to contact customer service and see what they say. Will update post afterwards.

Comments: The only problem I've had with this unit is every time I go to use it the battery's dead. I've even tried lithium batteries still from non use it kills the battery. I've seen this before with electronics when off would have a paracitic drain just like your car and the only way to stop this is to have a on and off switch on the battery pack itself. So be sure to have a bag of batteries on your boat or you might not be able to weigh that big fish when you get one like me and my scale is dead. Balls that sucked! Other then that i like the scale i may re-engineer the cover with a water proof switch to stop this problem.

Comments: Extremely accurate. Claw grip never slips. Had one small issue with ones screen but the customer service tool care of it immediately and sent me a new one absolutely 0 hassle. I use it almost daily.

Comments: Absolute junk. Weighed about 5 fish with it last year. Went to use it this year and half the screen wouldn't light up. Put 3 different sets of new batteries to rule that out.

Comments: Had this scale for about a month and just stopped working all together.  Always kept in storage compartment next to live well. Woks as advertised and easiest fastest scale but for $85 should last longer.  Sent item back and got a free replacement 3 months later.

Comments: I purchased this scale early this year, and initially I really liked it.  It is easy to operate, seemed well built, and was very accurate.  After just a few uses I had the clamp break off from the actual unit while weighing a 14lb fish.  No big deal, anything produced can have a flaw.  I contacted customer support, and they were awesome about getting a replacement sent right out to me.  Fast forward a few months, and this time I was weighing a 16lb fish, and once again the clamp portion of the scale broke completely off when the fish made a small twitch.  I emailed customer support again, and never actually received a response this time.  The scale lives safely in my boat most of the time, and occasionally in my pack if I go shore fishing, in all cases it has been well cared for.  The unit itself is awesome.  The way the clamp connects to the unit though is only held together by a piece of plastic.  Its an extremely weak point unless you are catching fish less than maybe ten pounds.

I was curious about this, so I actually took apart my cheap 10 dollar scale, and even that scale used a metal piece to connect the hook for holding a fish to the scale unit.  I really want to like this scale.  It's well build, and awesome in every way except for this one area. Unfortunately until that portion of the unit is updated I simply can NOT recommend this scale.  This simply should not happen with normal use of the product in this price range, especially well below the recommended limit of the scale.

Comments: First Time Ive ever written a review! But after many failures with scales, I finally found one that works as advertised. This scale has "almost" been flawless. "Sometimes" it will not scale back to zero which is an issue but one I can live with (shows 1 oz instead of 0 oz with nothing on the scale). Unless your using it every weekend or have a photographic memory, The simplicity or lack of the command buttons can require a review of the instructions to clear last tourney weight, change fish limit etc. I hope the Catch Commander team will add a couple of easier function buttons in the future. Again if you use it every weekend its no big deal. If not, don't lose the instructions. I would purchase another in a heartbeat. Love the scale and is worth the money in my opinion. And if they come out with a newer improved scale. I will buy it day one!

Comments: I used this in a BFL tournament this weekend and it was pretty dang close to my final weight FLW said I had. 3 ounces off I think which was probably from the water in the bag. This thing helps you cull weigh faster than using a balance beam. I'm a fan... I've used this for about 6 months now and I have no complaints or issues at all. When you get it, read the directions so you can see how to add weights, zero out weights and reset the weights after a tournament. GREAT PRODUCT AND WORTH THE MONEY!

From: Jeffrey D: Williamston, NC 6/16/20

Comments: I've been using the Catch Commander all year. This scale has it all, it's very simple to use scales are accurate. If your looking for a great scale look no further Catch Commander has it all!

From: Bill: Greenwood, In 5/10/19

Comments: By far the best tournament culling scale I've used! If you fish tournaments where money is on the line, do yourself a favor and get one of these scales. I weigh every fish I catch on tournament day to ensure I'm not making any culling mistakes. Accurate, fast, easy to read, all around great scale! Also love that it's waterproof. I've dropped mine in the livewell countless times and it's still working like it was the day I bought it. Absolutely no complaints!

From: Christian: Florida 5/10/19

Comments: Hands down the best scale on the market! Easy to use and extremely accurate! From tournament fishing or having a fun time fishing with your buddies, this scale is the best!

From: Michael: Leesburg 5/9/19

Comments: Best scale I've ever had the pleasure of putting in my hands. It's auto cull system saves time on the water because now I don't have to use cull beam anymore. I've also also found it to incredibly accurate. Easy to use with only a 3 button design multifunction design. Also seems to be extremely well build and durable. Truly a happy customer with this product
