Overview
Providing the same outstanding light line performance as the Classic version, the Charlie Brewer’s Spider Pro Head utilizes a slightly smaller hook to accommodate more finesse-driven soft plastics. Molded with a bullet-shaped head, the Charlie Brewer’s Spider Pro Head features a 2/0 offset hook, which makes it easy to Texas-rig soft plastics for an incredibly weedless presentation. Proven effective for years, the Charlie Brewer’s Spider Pro Head is the perfect tool for tempting light-feeding fish into biting.

Best way to worm fishI've been Slider fishing for 35 years now. I've caught thousands of bass on them. A junebug or green pumpkin Zoom Finesse Worm on a ⅛oz Spider Slider head is the best, fish catchingest bass lure I've ever found. It works all the time. Hot or cold, muddy or clear, day or night, California to Connecticut. It's ALWAYS a good choice. I've had a couple of hundred bass days on it- on public water! I've caught 7lb largemouths, 5lb smallmouths, and 6lb spots on them. As far as the light wire, bronze hook of the Spider Slider vs. black nickel hook of the Spider Slider Pro head quandry, here's the deal: when LARGEMOUTH fishing, use the stronger black NICKEL hook of the Pro heads. But when SPOTTED BASS bass or SMALLMOUTH fishing, use the light wire BRONZE hook of the regular Spider Slider. The reason is this: the mouths of spots and smallmouths tend to be harder, especially in colder water. PLUS, the smaller diameter of the light wire bronze hook penetrates QUICKER, and it FLEXES, ever so slightly, on the hookset. This prevents the hook from "popping out" of the fish's mouth like the nickel hook will oftentimes do, especially with braid or a braid-to-fluoro-leader setup. The secret to this setup is to fish a LIGHTWEIGHT /⁶ or ⅛oz. head. It is not Texas rig fishing. You do NOT want to feel bottom! The key is the DIAGONAL FALL. Bass go crazy for that slow, diving, diagonal fall! I like to use a 6'9" medium light spinning rod and 6 or 7lb line. Charlie Brewer's right hand man taught me how to fish it years ago. He said "Just throw it out and wait til he has it in his mouth." SIMPLE! It flat works.

Comments: These work really well for bass under 3 pounds. I have lost 3-4 larger bass due to the hook breaking.

Comments: The main issue I have with these as opposed to the slider heads is the line tie. The vertical line tie is perfect for thick grass. The snagless slider although light is the best thing for heavy grass. However I need a heavier presentation when the grass is a bit thicker. Don't get wrong these work, bit I would rather use a traditional Texas rig. If they change the line tie on this one then it will be basically perfect.

Comments: These are the sliders with the stronger hook in them, but they are pretty small hooks. I wish TW would carry the pro heads with the larger good hooks, the light wire hooks are ok sometimes, but if you are around better fish or if you use them with the braid/floro combo the light bronze hook gets bent easily. Still a great jighead for fish when they don't want anything else
