Engineered to create a smooth surface through a tight weave of fibers, the Silent Flip Braided Line Black is a 16-carrier superbraid that lays flat on the spool and creates no noise while in contact with rod guides, structure, or vegetation.

Offered in two sizes specifically built for flipping, the Silent Flip Braided Line Black is made with Fibertech and Colorlast technology to prevent fraying, color fading, or bleeding while maintaining excellent abrasion resistance. Constructed with the finest gel-spun polyethylene fibers, the Cortland Silent Flip Braided Line Black provides virtually no stretch to ensure a proper hookset and help you land more fish in heavy cover.

Colored with Mascara?This line left black lines on my fingers and chunks of color on my guides from just trying it out in the house after loading on a reel. There was black on my reel's line guide and anywhere this line came in contact it left black. It was also slow through the guides. I thought my spool tension was tight or it was caught up somewhere, but it was the this line. This line is not silent or smooth. I did not notice any flatness vs other braided lines.

Only the best when it countsI spent a ridiculous amount of time searching for the best braid—something silent that could provide even the slightest edge. I’ve used this line for frogging and, most importantly, for flipping and pitching. It’s incredibly thin and lays flat, as the braid itself is flat rather than round in texture and appearance. Unlike some other soft braids, it doesn’t fray. Tackle Warehouse, you carry it in green, but Cortland, please consider offering it in 30- and 40-pound options. Also, a slightly larger spool would be great! I use this line for flipping and pitching on a Steez CT SV, and the reel holds 50 yards perfectly, splitting the spool.
