Overview

The Cotton Cordell Ripplin’ Red-Fin has been catching fish since the 1960’s and works exceptionally well on a variety of gamefish, including bass, walleye, specks, and redfish. Fish it on top or just below the surface, it features unique wavy sides (see 2 nd image) that provide the appearance of constant motion - even when the lure is at rest.  The Ripplin’ Red-Fin dives down to 3-feet and swims with a wide wobbling action when it’s retrieved at a constant speed. It can also be waked across the surface to produce a wide “V” wake that predatory fish can’t resist or twitched like a jerkbait to deliver an erratic side-to-side darting action.

The Ripplin’ Red-Fin is crafted with premium components like sticky sharp treble hooks, sturdy split rings, quality paint schemes that match a variety of forage, and a loud internal rattle system that calls fish from a distance.  Available in a variety of colors, the Cotton Cordell Ripplin’ Red-Fin is a legendary lure that needs to be in every shallow water angler’s tackle box.

Comments: This is my goto bait in any water clear to stained. To keep it up to "wake", a painfully slow retrieve must be used, otherwise it will dive 1 to 2 feet. I've caught multiple species using it in the spring. Killer smallmouth lure for sure.

Comments: I can't get mine to wake. Maybe I need to go heavier than 14lb mono, but so far this thing is a waste. I love wakebaits and wanted to try an OG. I did catch a few just reeling it back in though.

Comments: An absolute sleeper. No one writes about it which in a way is good. I fish clear natural lakes where it takes live bait to catch anything. Pull this slowly over submerged weeds. The exaggerated wobble and roll looks a fish barely able to swim. Even tiny fish attack this thing.
