Designed to snap directly onto both sides of the steering rod, Mean Stops keep your outboard engine straight and prevents damage to the motor supports and steering system when trailering.

Out of the package, the Mean Stops accommodate steering rods with a 3/4" diameter and four inches of clearance on both sides of the motor, which should be most outboard motors from 175-300HP.  Please be sure to double check fitment before purchasing. Thanks to DD26's innovative removable clip design, additional inserts can be purchased through the manufacturer to accommodate hydraulic steering systems that have a width of 3.75"- 4" or a diameter other than 3/4".

Ergonomic handles make it easy to pop the steering locks on and off, and a metal cable connects the stops so they don't get separated. The DD26 Mean Stops Gen2 Hydraulic Steering locks are designed to fit most outboards 175-300HP, with 3.75" - 4" of exposed steering rod on each side of the engine and a 3/4" steering rod diameter.
